I booked this hotel in a hurry and didn't realize until check-in that it's a 40-year-old establishment. The facilities feel like they're stuck in the last century, making for a stay with very extreme pros and cons. **Pros:** 1. **Easy Communication:** The front desk has Chinese-speaking staff, which made communication incredibly smooth for Chinese tourists. 2. **Huge Room:** The room size is exceptionally large for a hotel in Japan at this price point. 3. **Scenic Breakfast:** There's a wide variety of breakfast options, and the restaurant offers an excellent view, allowing you to dine with a direct view of Mount Fuji. **Cons (Buyer Beware):** 1. **Inconvenient Transportation:** The hotel is located quite a distance from the city center. If you're not driving, you're reliant on the hotel's shuttle bus, which only runs once an hour, severely limiting your itinerary. 2. **Horrifying Hygiene:** I was shocked to find huge ants in the bathroom, especially staying alone. On top of that, the duvet cover was noticeably yellowed. The hygiene standards were simply unacceptable. 3. **Poor Sleep Quality:** The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and the overall aging facilities made for a very poor experience. **Summary:** Despite the Chinese-speaking service and beautiful views, the serious hygiene issues and outdated facilities significantly detracted from the overall living experience. I truly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who prioritizes cleanliness and convenient transportation. I won't be returning.

"A great hotel with an exceptional breakfast spread! The quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Plenty of choices and excellent service. I would definitely come back just for the breakfast!"

Happy with breakfast in the hotel. But not happy with the room they provided to us as the room is very old and mold grow on the ceiling in the washroom.  When asked for onsen, front desk just replied us to do it by our own in our room.

This resort is quite old and massive, suitable only if you’re driving a car or part of a tour group, as it’s in the middle of the forest, not east to get around on foot, the closest convenient store is 10mins away. The resort is massive and needs a good facelift, we enjoyed the room the most as it has an on-suite and a separate toilet in the living room, very convenient when you travel with children. The breakfast was great, so much choices, my son especially love the pancake maker, and we can have a cup of coffee while seeing the Mt Fuji out the window.

I was a bit skeptical before booking because of some “superstitioys” reviews on Google Maps, but the stay was actually decent. Went during peak Sakura season and the price was very reasonable for a spacious 2-bedroom suite with living and dining areas. Just note that it’s a resort, so it’s really far from Fuji’s main attractions, and the last shuttle is around 7:30 PM — miss it and you may wait >30mins for a taxi.

I was upgraded to a better room than the one I booked! The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive, which was great. People who are bothered by insects might want to be a little cautious.

Room Issues: The facilities are old, poorly maintained, and don't match the price point in terms of value for money. Communication Style: The staff spoke Cantonese, but their tone felt accusatory or interrogative, making me, as a guest, feel very stressed. Specific Examples: Even though breakfast times were clearly stated, the front desk still kept asking what time I'd be coming down, as if I was going to cause some trouble. When asking if I wanted room cleaning, they told me to "tidy up my belongings first." This is something most hotels handle discreetly themselves, not by putting pressure on guests with such remarks. During check-in, only one room key card was provided, which was extremely inconvenient for guests traveling with a partner or family, making it difficult to enter and exit. This deviates from the standard practice of most hotels providing at least two key cards. 2. The room lacks blackout curtains, so as soon as it's morning, the entire room becomes very bright, severely affecting sleep quality. 3. The room's lighting design is flawed; the long light fixture is positioned too close to the wall. If you lean back while sitting near the wall, you'll hit the back of your head. This is very unsafe and not ergonomically designed.

The restaurant offers a view of Mount Fuji, and the room was comfortable. However, I arrived back at the hotel quite late, and the road leading up to it was lined only with trees, which felt a bit eerie.

Walked into the room and was immediately captivated by the window view. The stunning scenery was right in front of me, no need to even step outside to take pictures. In winter, the indoor heating plus the hot spring water just elevated the feeling of bliss. The in-room hot spring experience (definitely a bonus!) was amazing. The water temperature was perfect, keeping me warm in winter. I took a dip once at night and again in the early morning; the views were completely different. At night, it was all about quietly waiting for fireworks.

An Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you. One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there. I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient! I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

A good hotel for a family vacation. It's located a few kilometers from Fujikawaguchiko, so you'll either need your own car or use the hotel's shuttle service. The shuttle runs once an hour, which worked out perfectly for us – we'd leave in the morning and return in the evening. It was disappointing that the hot springs weren't accessible to regular guests, only to those in the super-premium rooms. Breakfasts were excellent, with a very diverse buffet. The staff were very hardworking, friendly, and helpful with everything. The hotel itself and the interior decor are a bit dated, but everything was in great condition, nothing was broken, and the beds and blankets were excellent – we slept wonderfully, perhaps due to the fresh forest air.

The hotel isn't new and has seen some years, but everything still looks very good and works perfectly. The room was spacious with a beautiful view. They offer a shuttle service, which is helpful as it's a bit far from the city. A taxi from the city costs 2500. What I didn't like was finding out during our trip that we weren't allowed to use the Onsen because our room category was too low. It was even stranger that we couldn't use it even for an extra fee.
