GGuest UserI was very pleasantly surprised with my stay at GreenTree Eastern Hotel. The hotel is located near several malls which have a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. I would highly recommend this area to people who want to be in downtown Zigong. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very nice. My only complaint is that the bed was hard for Western standards but this hotel seems to mostly cater to locals who prefer harder beds. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Zigong!

GGuest UserA huge contrast in my experience over the two nights. I arrived at 9:30pm and went to my room to find chaos on the corridor; other guests with no conscience or respect for others who think it is good to have groups of people in one room with the doors open between their adjoining rooms and televisions blaring and children running and screaming in the corridor with parents shouting after them, which continued until after 11:30pm. The breakfast was also exceptionally busy and noisy.
However when I returned to the hotel later in the day the majority of people had gone and the hotel took on a completely different feel. It's rural location and large landscaped grounds helped to give it the serenity of which it was deserving. The staff worked incredibly hard to clean all of the rooms and yet still had time to bring small gifts to my room which I found when I returned. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the room was large and comfortable with a nice view of greenery. Great location for the dinosaurs and also easy to obtain a Didi to get to the centre of Zigong. . Also walking distance to the Qinglong Reservoir which has a 13 mile circuit for cycling and annual half marathon running race.

Wwhat’s up toTo put it bluntly, I was quite nervous before booking this hotel. Like everyone else, I also like to read everyone’s reviews when making a choice, especially focusing on the negative reviews. Because good reviews are all the same, it is only the bad reviews that reveal the problem.
So when I saw many people saying that the room was small, the room price was expensive, the facilities were old, etc., I hesitated for a long time.
It was already evening when I checked in. When I checked in, I also asked the sister at the front desk about some concerns about the room. The girl at the front desk was very straightforward and asked the concierge to take us up. She said that we could take a look at the reserved room first, and then look at other room types. If there are enough rooms, if we need to change, we can pay the difference and change directly.
The exquisite single room I booked online is indeed not big, and the bed is 1.5 meters tall. It is indeed crowded for a family of three, but it is fine for two people (we are not fat). The facilities are not bad, the wooden furniture looks old. The equipment is simple but complete. The bathroom area basically occupies less than half.
Then he also took us to see other large beds. There was actually a 2.4-meter bed, and then we also saw the parent-child room (it seemed to be a large bed ➕ a small bunk bed)
In the end, because there were only two of us, we stayed in a so-called exquisite single room. The charger was not enough. Then I asked the room attendant and was told that the room has a scan code to charge, and there is a power bank in the lobby. If you don’t want to spend money, you can also have it delivered. The charger is delivered to the room😄. The room is very clean, the air conditioner is warm, and the bath water is also hot (I just don’t know how to adjust the nozzles and showerheads😂)
I used points in exchange for two breakfasts in the morning, which was quite rich.
Finally, I would like to say that we checked in at the end of the holiday, so it might not be so crowded, and we thought it was pretty good. Because of the price and room type, I didn’t raise my expectations too much, so I thought everything was fine. Some people say why you can’t do whatever you want after spending money. I can’t refute it. In fact, mentality is very important. (My wife thinks it’s worth every penny) As long as the woman is happy and stops complaining, the whole family will be happy. 😂😂🤣
