Conrad Hangzhou

Fantastic hotel. I really like the location cuz it’s quite city central. Plus, it is connected to Raffles so eating out was super convenient. Will stay again in future :) If I may ask for any improvements would be delivery services. I think having someone or a robot that can deliver my take out my room would have been good instead of me having to take 2 separate lifts down to a delivery drop off point outside the hotel 😅

I was genuinely excited to stay at the Conrad Hangzhou, expecting a premium experience aligned with the brand’s global reputation. Unfortunately, my stay turned out to be rather average and somewhat underwhelming. Upon arrival, we discovered that the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working. We promptly informed the staff, who were polite and responsive, and they arranged for maintenance to address the issue. However, the repairs were done while we were still in the room, which made for an uncomfortable and awkward experience—definitely not what I would expect from a hotel in this category. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff were courteous and professional throughout our stay. However, despite these positives, the overall experience lacked the “wow” factor that one typically associates with luxury accommodations. From service touches to room amenities and ambiance, everything felt standard rather than exceptional. Having stayed in several hotels across China in the same price range, I would unfortunately place this one closer to the bottom of the list in terms of value and overall impression. While it’s by no means a bad hotel, I left feeling disappointed that it didn’t live up to the expectations I had for a Conrad. For this reason, I likely wouldn’t choose to stay at the Conrad Hangzhou again.
