"I came to Hohhot for business this time and, after doing some research, chose this Wanda hotel. My initial thought was its central location, which would make it easy for me to travel between different areas. Getting to the hotel directly from Baita Airport by subway took about twenty minutes, with no transfers, which was quite convenient since I had luggage. The hotel is located at the junction of Saihan District and Xincheng District, with subway lines 1 and 2 intersecting nearby, making getting around very easy. There's also a Wanda shopping mall and a snack street nearby, so you can explore trendy shops and try local food in your free time, which is a definite plus. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were pleasant, proactively informing me about free luggage storage and complimentary bottled water – a decent first impression. The room itself was clean and tidy, the mattress was just right (not too soft, not too hard), and all the facilities were complete and working well. After a day of travel, I could get a good night's rest, so no complaints there. I thought my stay would be uneventful, but I hit the peak check-out time and had to wait an incredibly long time for the elevator – several minutes, in fact, before I could finally get on. If you're in a rush, trying to catch a train or a flight, this could easily cause significant delays. Overall, my experience this time was genuinely not great. Although the hotel price was moderate and not expensive, the stay was very uncomfortable. The prolonged elevator wait significantly detracted from the overall experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who has high expectations for their stay."

The auntie clearing tables inside was very nice though. I'd seen reviews saying the service here was poor, and I thought, 'No, it's pretty good.' But the person swiping cards at breakfast definitely changed my mind."

"I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. During this trip, I stayed here for one night, spent one night elsewhere, and then returned for another two nights before flying back to Thailand. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. After my first night, I accidentally left my power bank in the room. The reception team took the initiative to look for it, called me to let me know they had found it, and safely kept it until I returned. On the day of my departure, I had to check out at 5:00 a.m. Unfortunately, the driver I had booked did not show up. The reception staff immediately stepped in and helped me call taxis until they successfully found one for me, making sure I could get to the airport on time. I truly appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help. The excellent service made my stay stress-free and memorable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hohhot."

What I liked was the large, spacious room and comfortable bedding, with various pillows provided. The window overlooked a grassland racetrack where people were riding horses. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and attentive. However, I was very unhappy that the hot water wasn't hot enough, which was a real problem for someone like me who gets cold easily and couldn't take a proper shower. Another issue was the deposit refund, which wasn't processed promptly. I had to chase them for it 10 hours after checking out – I've never experienced that with a hotel before. The area around the hotel was quite lively and noisy in the evenings due to a performance, which attracted a lot of cars and people."
