Skiing:Alyeska’s six chair lifts (two high speed quads) and one tram, and two Magic Carpets. The tram stops about ¾ of the way up the mountain at the mid-mountain facility with a cafeteria and the 4-star Seven Glaciers Restaurant and bar with amazing views of the inlet and the surrounding mountains. Biking:A great paved trail with no roadway crossings runs 13 miles from Girdwood to Bird adjacent to the waters of the Turnagain Arm, and immediately below the surrounding mountains offering sweeping inlet views.
