The Salisbury YMCA has a fantastic location — right next to the harbour and a short walk from the Star Ferry and MTR. The staff were friendly and everything was clean, but the building and rooms are a bit old-fashioned. It’s also a bit pricey for what it offers, but then again, Hong Kong in general is expensive. Overall, a convenient and reliable place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.

It’s a bit Spartan, but the location and the views from some rooms cannot be beaten. Staff is polite and helpful. Gym and pool a bit worn but perfectly functional. View from my room was outstanding

The staff are helpful and professional. There are two room service staff who are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Location is perfect as I am here for business whilst my family is here on holiday. Here is a photo of the view from the laundry room window.

First off, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right next to the Peninsula Hotel, and the subway is just a minute away, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Secondly, the lobby is spacious, and the rooms are very clean and don't look worn down at all. For Hong Kong, the rooms are quite a good size, much better than previous hotels I've stayed at, and the price is reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Thirdly, the service was great; they even upgraded me to a sea-view room. The only downside is the check-in time being after 3 PM and check-out at 11 AM. I'll definitely choose this hotel again in the future!

Was upgraded to a suite with a marvellous harbour view. However, the sofa smelled a little bit mouldy. The location was good and convenient as the MTR station is just right beside the hotel, making travelling very easy.. Staff are also friendly.

Excellent location in TST, conveniently located near to 2 MTR lines, minutes walking distance to bus stops where you can take the A21 or A25 buses to HKIA, as well as to the Star Ferries terminal to cross to HK Island. Staff were courteous and patient in giving explanations. Greatly appreciate the free room upgrade. I enjoyed the fitness centre facility as well, do note you need a swimming cap to use the swimming pool. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel is very well located, impeccably clean, with attentive staff and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Booked a sea-view room for the National Day fireworks display, and it was absolutely amazing! No need to battle the crowds. The window faced directly towards Wanchai Pier, giving us a perfect view of the spectacular fireworks! The road downstairs was closed off to traffic around 5-6 PM, so it was just packed with pedestrians. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning lady was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home!

Our family of four booked a room with two large beds. The front desk, in their words, 'upgraded' me, but they gave me a room with only one bed. I presented four IDs for check-in, so I really don't understand what they were thinking. I had to call the front desk twice after getting to the room before a staff member slowly came to set up the sofa bed. The attitude of Hong Kong people towards mainlanders is getting worse and worse; the service is genuinely poor. I won't be staying here again.

It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at the ymca. This conveniently located hotel still provides a very comfortable overnight stay in the heart of Kowloon with great access to public transport and restaurant options. The staff is polite and helpful. Finally, the indoor lap pool is a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. We’ll definitely be coming back.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. There are two subway entrances right outside. The main entrance leads directly to Tsim Sha Tsui Station (Exit C) just across the street, and if you go out the back exit and turn right, you'll find another subway entrance (KL1), which is a short walk from the Tsuen Wan Line. This makes getting to Central and Hong Kong Disneyland incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the harbor, so you can take a ferry to Central or Golden Bauhinia Square for just 5 HKD. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well. Downstairs, there are three cha chaan tengs, and if you walk another five minutes, you'll find many popular internet-famous restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy, and the air conditioning is exceptionally powerful – I'd recommend bringing a light jacket for kids. The room is also quite spacious; 26 square meters is considered large for Hong Kong, where rooms typically only measure around 17 square meters. It's also very convenient to walk to Victoria Harbour in the evening to enjoy the night view.

The hotel is located in some of the best real estate of Kowloon. Very pristine view of the Harbour from the Harbour view room. But the beds are nasty if you are a very heavy person or have back problems.

The location is excellent! It's perfect for exploring and enjoying the Tsim Sha Tsui area. If you're coming from the airport, take bus A21 directly to Middle Road Station, and it's just a few minutes' walk from there. The room was quite clean. The only issue we encountered was a clogged toilet drain in our room, but after we reported it, they promptly arranged for someone to fix it. Soundproofing, however, was poor; we could constantly hear doors opening and closing in the hallway. Overall, the service attitude during our stay felt rather impersonal. While not overly warm, it wasn't rude either – perhaps Hongkongers tend to maintain a professional distance. (However, we did have one unpleasant encounter: a middle-aged concierge, approximately 40 years old, with a round head, who was standing behind the counter. The moment he heard us speaking Mandarin, his expression visibly changed, and he rolled his eyes. This was the only eye-roll we received during our entire trip to Hong Kong 🙄. In contrast, the concierge staff working outside the counter were extremely friendly!) Other than that, there's nothing particularly noteworthy. The price was reasonable, offering great value for money given its prime location. Do note that rooms don't come with toiletries or complimentary water, so you'll need to bring your own. Conveniently, the H2 bus stop is right downstairs on the roadside. It's also very close to K11, Harbour City, Avenue of Stars, and Chungking Mansions.

Got upgraded at the desk to a harbour view suite. Room was lovely and an amazing view. Only small issue was shower but didn’t bother us too much. Front desk very helpful and allowed us to store our luggage. Best location in TST
