The room is clean and has own bathroom. It’s very easy to navigate and convenient to transportation system such as tram. Near to restaurants and shopping malls. The staffs are very accommodating.

The place is great. Would definitely recommend again. Meant other solo travelers and everyone was so great. I was there during the typhoon and the staff was very accommodating. The room was great. The only down side was toilet didn’t fit the toilet and sewage smell at times in the bathroom. Normal in china tho.

Most of 5* reviews got by exchange for free drink. But it’s understandable, because otherwise this hotel will have solid 2*. In this 1* is for nice clean toilet But in general it’s very poor like most of hostels in hongkong. But as I heard this one isn’t worst. But for me it was anyway terrible to have this 4 night experience for 30 USD / night Nightmare.

Check Inn Hostel Hong Kong, offers affordable lodging option while in Hong Kong. Located in Henessy Road, in Wanchai. Close to Tram stops and restaurants, and supermarket. Cosy lounge for checked in travelers. Rooms comes in two versions. Rooms with private bathrooms, and rooms with common restrooms. Room size comes in a few formats as well. Rooms good for 4 people, good for 2 people, and goor for 5 people.

Amazing location! The rooms are quite small, but good enough for a small stay. The common area is quite big and great to meet other travelers.

Towards the end of my stay during Chinese Independence Day, one of the owners approached me aggressively and demanded that I leave while arguing with his wife. He then began harassing me, punched two large holes in the windows and hallway, and even wiped his blood on my face. I had been a long-term guest there for a month, and this incident made me feel completely unsafe. No guest should ever experience this kind of behavior from someone responsible for ensuring their comfort and safety.

Really great hotel/hostel. You won’t find a better value than this. I preferred staying here than the 4 star hotels - as all their windows are shut. But here there are plenty of windows with ventilation. And the staff are super nice too, I recommend 👍

During Chinese Independence Day, my stay took an unexpected and disturbing turn. One of the owners, caught up in a heated argument with his wife, suddenly turned his anger toward me—demanding I leave without reason. What followed was chaos: he smashed his fists through two windows, blood splattering across the hallway, and then shockingly wiped it on my face. I’d been a guest there for a month, and in that moment, the place I once felt comfortable in became unsafe. No guest should ever have to witness—let alone experience—such violent, unprofessional behavior from someone meant to make them feel at home.
