The place is great. Would definitely recommend again. Meant other solo travelers and everyone was so great. I was there during the typhoon and the staff was very accommodating. The room was great. The only down side was toilet didn’t fit the toilet and sewage smell at times in the bathroom. Normal in china tho.

["The online description showed bunk beds, but it turned out to be triple-decker beds.","There was still some excrement on the inner rim of the toilet, and it wasn't cleaned until the next morning.","The lockers for beds #1 and #3 were full of plastic bottles of baijiu (Chinese liquor) left by previous guests. Opening the lockers released an overwhelming smell of alcohol.","In the common room, people of various backgrounds were still talking loudly past 11 PM.","The WiFi frequently disconnected.","Since it's at a crossroads, there was a constant humming noise from traffic outside the window all night.","No cancellations allowed, which is very strict!","It is a hostel, after all, so if you don't mind these issues, you can go ahead and book it."]

Most of 5* reviews got by exchange for free drink. But it’s understandable, because otherwise this hotel will have solid 2*. In this 1* is for nice clean toilet
But in general it’s very poor like most of hostels in hongkong. But as I heard this one isn’t worst. But for me it was anyway terrible to have this 4 night experience for 30 USD / night
Nightmare.

The room itself was pretty standard and a bit small, but that's usually the case with hostels – it's really just a place to crash. The biggest advantage of a hostel is its common space, where you can meet friends from all over the world. For a solo traveler needing a temporary place for a night, it's perfectly fine and often even more interesting than a hotel.

The hostel has a welcoming atmosphere with staff who make you feel at home. Dorms and private rooms are clean, with comfortable beds and secure lockers. The common areas are lively, perfect for meeting other travelers and sharing experiences. Free Wi-Fi works well, and the location is excellent—close to public transport, shops, and main attractions. Overall, it’s great value for money and ideal for budget travelers looking for both comfort and community

In space-constrained Hong Kong, especially in a location like Wan Chai, the bunks are indeed extremely cramped. Fortunately, the overall decor is modern and bright, and the bathroom is very clean. There's also complimentary drinking water and hot water available, which adds to the comfort. However, what really disturbed my rest was the lack of curtains for the bunks. Being on the middle bunk of a triple-decker bed felt like there was absolutely no privacy, and I slept very poorly. The vibrations and noises from the triple bunk also transferred easily, constantly waking me up.
I personally wouldn't stay here again. If you're a solo traveler, need this specific location, can fall asleep anywhere, or have no particular demands for sleep quality, then you might consider it. After all, for a similar price, you could probably find a single room in some hotels. The lobby area has a nice view though.

For the location, price is quite nice. Rooms are small and some guests hang out in corridors rather than common spaces. We enjoyed our experience otherwise.

It wasn’t just one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed, but also the most expensive. They charged me four times the original price for the night and didn’t refund me, and I basically felt forced to stay there for a ridiculous price. They don’t provide towels, slippers, anything, and the bathroom is somewhat dirty. Normally it costs around 30 dollars (my second night costed that), but they charged me 100 dollars. I guess for Hong Kong, 30 dollars for a hostel is fine, but 100 dollars for one night in a hostel is ridiculously overpriced, even for Hong Kong, but I didn’t know that before booking. On the other hand, the staff is friendly and the location is quite good.

This is my second time staying at this hostel, and overall, for its price point in Hong Kong, I think it's quite good. Smoking and eating are not allowed inside, and you have to take off your shoes before entering. Downstairs is the bustling Hennessy Road, which can be a bit noisy, but it doesn't bother me much as I'm a pretty sound sleeper. The transportation is convenient. I'd give it 4 stars!
