"The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time.
The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea."
"The hotel is an hour's drive from the main beach of Wikiki. There are few people and the environment is good. There are many activities to play. You can interact with various dolls at close range. The room is relatively average (very cold). There are also many hot spring pools in the hotel. After playing It's great to be able to jump into the hot spring pool at any time. The biggest problem is eating. The internal restaurants are very disappointing. However, after leaving the hotel, there is a square opposite. Although there are only a handful of restaurants, they taste pretty good, especially the coffee at Starbucks. I go there every day and the tips are mind-boggling. . . There are only supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If your child suffers from gastroenteritis, you have to take a taxi to Wikiki to find a hospital. In short, it is a holiday destination with a good environment that children like. It is a bit boring to stay for a long time because you can only play in the hotel every day. Wikiki is more lively."
"It was my first time in Hawaii (the last time was 25 years ago), so I was a bit worried, but it was the best choice.
Good points
1. Free breakfast and evening cocktail service
2. Location: Although it's not oceanfront, it's close to the beach. The trolley, which you can ride for free with a JCB card, and the Rakuten Lounge are within walking distance. The location is much better than I expected
3. Separate living room and bedroom, which is great for families with children
Nothing disappointing
The price itself is certainly not cheap, but with prices in Waikiki rising as a whole, it is relatively inexpensive and has high added value.
The facilities and cleanliness are also up to personal perception...Before COVID-19, I went on road trips to the US, and after COVID-19, I mainly traveled to Southeast Asia, so I was very satisfied with it.
I would like to stay again."

"The location of the hotel is ideal: there are many good restaurants; Ala Moana Shopping Center, one of the largest in world; beaches; and interesting places."
"We enjoyed our trip and the stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Although we recommend purchasing gifts, water and food off-resort due to the super inflated prices, the staff was excellent and kind. Get a room in the Lagoon or Makai tower to oversee the dolphins. Ours was an ocean view and it was breathtaking. As far as hotel rooms go, it was pretty standard but clean and comfortable. It was a good landing place between adventures. Pricey but worth it for being a safe and family-friendly place. Do the buffet for breakfast but not every day as you’ll get sick of it 🤣 or your kids will just eat the cereal for $55/adult and $27/kid or something. 🤣"

"Just stayed for five days, breakfast was the same every day, two Korean servers were angry and collected everything at the appointed time. The transportation was very convenient and the location was very interesting. It was close to the commercial district and the beach by foot and by car! High cost performance."
"The hotel is in a good location. You can walk to any place in WAIKIKI. It is very close to the lake, so you can walk or run. The hotel has a small swimming pool, a small gym, and a lobby to receive guests. There is also a place to work. It is relatively quiet. The front desk clerk is enthusiastic and upgraded our room for free. The room was originally on the 3rd floor, but it was upgraded to the 8th floor with a view of the lake. There is a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room, as well as plates and cutlery."
"Japanese hotel, we arrived late and helped me upgrade to the suite. The house is large enough to cook. There is a swimming pool. At night the water is a bit cold. You can soak in the heated swimming pool. When booking, it is stated that there is no resort fee. Late in Hawaii is very cheap. After we check out, we can see that the price has risen to more than 1,000 a night."
"Located in the legendary city center. The mattress was sunken, and it was covered with a blanket, and the color was a bit inexplicable. Intensely contact yourself and bring a 4-piece set. Due to the old mattress, the head and feet are higher than the buttocks after going to bed. Service is acceptable. The air-conditioning sound is crazy loud, estimated to be 50 decibels. The space is larger and the sea view is a little bit too. The equipment is relatively complete, and you can cook if you are diligent."

Great
NNoskovConsider it a happy little accident. I had missed my flight home because of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade and was stuck an extra day on Oahu. I looked to see what was the cheapest hotel room available and the Ka La’i popped up which surprised me.
Booked the room quick because the Honolulu Marathon was the following day and almost every hotel was sold out.
I got an ocean view suite with a King bed as my room and loved it. Bathroom was amazing, bed was super comfortable and overall the suite was spacious. Although it had a kitchen it didn’t have a dedicated dining table, even a small one. Only thing in the sitting area was a glass coffee table that was long enough for my needs of just a late night pizza dinner.
Staff was helpful and even as I was checking out, I casually asked if I could tour the Penthouse suite because I had always wanted to book it. The 2 front desk workers escorted me to the Penthouse and gave me a little tour. It was impressive.
Definitely would stay there again soon.

GGuest UserFor the price point and the location you cannot beat it. In my opinion. I have not stayed at a smaller place. I just stick with a larger brand in which I know will have a certain level of quality. It's really not far from the beach. It's down a bit from the main shopping area but totally walkable. I think it's a great deal. I've stayed there twice now and I stayed in another place for nine days that's in the area and I would never go back to that one so the fact I keep going back is a very good sign that the value and the location Are great . My lifestyle as I go out and I have activities outside and I kinda use this as a base where I'd rest. I'm not dining there. I'm not really going to the shows. Maybe I'll use the pool. That said it's great it's comfortable it's clean.

SseanvickyI booked this hotel three times between Ctrip and Qunar, because the price dropped the closer I got. The location of the hotel is indeed good, the room is large, the balcony has a good view, and it is very comfortable to use. Although the hotel is large, the elevator is very fast, and getting in and out is not as troublesome as some reviews said. The only inconvenience was that I checked out of the room that day, stored my luggage and went shopping. When I came back, I found that on the check-in floor on the second floor, all toilets required swiping a room card to enter, OMG. Later, I went to the change room where the third-floor swimming pool is located. There is no need to swipe the room card there.
It’s very close to Marugame Udon, a popular udon restaurant. The “Mai*” matcha ice cream next to it is also good. You can try the purple potato balls in Duke Lane. The local poke bowl is worth a try.

GGuest UserThe hotel provides airport pick-up service and the staff are very friendly. Although the facilities are relatively old, it is very convenient to stay during the transfer time. The airport shuttle runs every half hour in the morning.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in the center of Waikiki. A lot of shops and restaurants are nearby.I
The beaches are 100 meters away. The famous hotels Moana Surfrider and Hyatt Regency are across the street. Royal Waikiki Center is a beautiful mall nearby. There are a lot of luxury retail stores and restaurants in the mall.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located conveniently close to the airport. A bit tricky to find. We walked to the hotel from the airport. With our suitcases, a bit further than expected. Lots of noise from the traffic. Room was clean. Service was friendly. A bit disappointing when we picked up a rental car and retrieved our suitcases. Because we stayed at the parking lot 16 min. (1 minute longer than alotted we had to pay parking fees.
MmrKarstenStaying at Manoa Inn feels like stepping into a living piece of Honolulu’s layered past. This plantation-style historical house is full of quiet character, from its timeworn woodwork to the gentle creak of its stairways. The inn is surrounded by gardens that seem to breathe—ferns unfolding, orchids slipping open, birds singing from hidden corners. One morning, I sipped coffee to the chatter of parrots and caught the city unfolding below through a frame of palms.
The location is as thoughtful as the house itself—steps away from the East-West Center, the serene carp garden, and the Manoa Japanese Tea House. Nearby cafés and small eateries feed both hunger and curiosity without fanfare. Nothing here feels manufactured. The inn doesn’t shout for attention—it invites you to listen, to linger, to notice. I left with a sense of having not just visited, but having been quietly welcomed.

GGuest UserFor someone wanting to experience Waikiki on a budget it’s a great price! Perfect location right across the street from the ocean and the beach! It’s only 2 min walk to the zoo and the Waikiki trolly bus stop is less then a block away and it’s only $5 a day to take. This hotel is perfect for convenience and location!! The bed isn’t the most comfortable and there are nicer and cleaner hotels but your going to pay a-lot more for that. This was perfect for a short few day trip I took! I’ll definitely book there again! Also their parking lot is not very big so if your getting a rental car I would call them first to confirm they have a spot available for your car to be parked if they do it’s only $30 a night which is also a great price! But that was sold out the whole time I was there. I didn’t need it because I didn’t have a rental car. But I could see that being an issue if you have a rental car.

GGuest UserThere is a main building and an annex, but the annex is really bad, and if you stay in the main building, the cost-effectiveness is really good! I stayed for 3 nights and stayed in the annex on the first day and was so depressed that I paid extra money to upgrade my room to the main building, and I was very satisfied! And it's very noisy because it's a downtown area, so take that into consideration! This is a picture of the bathroom when I stayed in the annex, but there was no ventilation and no lighting in the shower cubicle.. It was poor. Compare it with the pictures of the main building!
