"The view of Diamond Head and the ocean was amazing! Drinking alcohol while watching the view from the lanai was a blissful time.
The room was spacious and clean. There was a large refrigerator with kitchen detergent, sponges, and kitchen paper.
On the L floor, there was a convenience store, cafe, poke shop, and ice cream shop, which was very convenient. We received an ice cream voucher for our stay, which we enjoyed every day. The only drawback was that the water pressure in the shower was weak and the water was lukewarm. It was a happy space that we would definitely like to stay in again."

NNoskovConsider it a happy little accident. I had missed my flight home because of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade and was stuck an extra day on Oahu. I looked to see what was the cheapest hotel room available and the Ka La’i popped up which surprised me.
Booked the room quick because the Honolulu Marathon was the following day and almost every hotel was sold out.
I got an ocean view suite with a King bed as my room and loved it. Bathroom was amazing, bed was super comfortable and overall the suite was spacious. Although it had a kitchen it didn’t have a dedicated dining table, even a small one. Only thing in the sitting area was a glass coffee table that was long enough for my needs of just a late night pizza dinner.
Staff was helpful and even as I was checking out, I casually asked if I could tour the Penthouse suite because I had always wanted to book it. The 2 front desk workers escorted me to the Penthouse and gave me a little tour. It was impressive.
Definitely would stay there again soon.

XXue0204The Ritz-Carlton Waikiki, Hawaii, is classified as a five-star hotel on Ctrip. The suite is over 60 square meters and costs 6,800 yuan, excluding breakfast. In addition to its good location, the hotel's lobby facilities, decoration level, and service staff quality are only three stars of Japanese hotels. We booked a sea-facing suite, and the bed and sofa bed were surprisingly soft. We called the guest room three times on the third night, and each time a different person came to see it and said that it would be solved immediately, but they never came back. After another call, two male waiters finally came together to turn the big mattress over and turned the back up, and they felt that it was normal in hardness and softness. We continued to wait for them to solve the problem of the soft sofa bed. The two male waiters said they would come back immediately, but they were nowhere to be seen. Until a female housekeeper came to check and told her that we were still waiting for the problem to be solved, she also promised to come back but never came back. I had no choice but to call the front desk again and a male waiter came. He left for another ten minutes and came back, saying that I could put the other half of the mattress of the big bed (many double beds abroad are made of two single mattresses covered with a large mattress cover to prevent turning over and affecting each other) on the sofa bed with the hard side facing up. In the end, I had no choice but to do this. The room facilities were very simple, at most three-star level. The restaurant breakfast was a mixture of various foods topped with some local sauce, and it always tasted the same. A breakfast order for two people plus a 20% tip was 60 or 70 US dollars; a Chinese meal in the hotel restaurant, ordering a few plates plus a tip, was 160 US dollars, and the taste was similar. I just stayed in a five-star hotel in Japan and then transferred to ANA business class to fly to Hawaii. The difference between the hotel level and service is really not a little bit. The biggest failure of this trip was choosing this so-called five-star hotel. There will be no next time.

IirisncipWe stayed at the one of the Historic Banyan King Room with City View for 4 nights, room was conveniently located in the main building, doesn’t come with a balcony, but has 2 windows. It gets noisy sometimes at night even though we stayed on the 4th floor. The resort also offers a list of cultural and wellness activities for booking, this is where the resort fee goes to, so make sure you book some of these activities if time permits. Overall we liked the hotel as it’s at the center of Waikiki and has direct access to the beach, several great restaurants and you can also pre-order Honolulu Coffee for pick-up at the hotel location.

There are two rooms, one single bed in one room, two single beds in one room, the middle living room sofa is a double bed, and the living room has a kitchen with a full range of kitchenware, which is very suitable for the whole family, young and old, especially children. The family is very suitable. One bathtub can take a bath, and there are two showers. The bathroom is large. The space in the room is very reasonable. The balcony can go out directly to see the sea. Sometimes birds will come in. Downstairs is The swimming pool inside the hotel can only be accessed by swiping the room card. The hotel provides a towel card. You can go to the small window next to the pool to change the towels. After you use the towels, you can exchange the towels for use next time. There are many activities in the hotel. The submarine play items can be purchased just downstairs from the hotel, and the snorkeling can also be purchased downstairs from the hotel. In addition, the food in the hotel is also affordable and the price is acceptable. In short, the supporting facilities in the hotel are very good, which is very suitable for the whole family.

GGuest UserHow good is the hotel service attitude? The second floor of the room I just gave me was on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, but it was blocked by the hotel platform. I couldn't see anything. I was given a free upgrade to the pool view and I could see some sea and mountain views.

Room was very comfortable but no shower cap or other amenities offered
Location is slightly out of the centre with a 5 block walk which was tiring however staff were lovely except the travel desk staff member who was very rude & chomping on an orange whilst talking to you & not helpful

EE0013****Let's start with the positives: The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning ocean view, and I woke up to the beautiful beach every morning 🥰. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful 🫶. The room was also very spacious; coming from Tokyo to Hawaii, I really appreciated the upgrade in space 😍. There are many bus routes right outside the hotel, making it easy to get to Pearl Harbor. The Pink Line of the 'Waikiki Trolley' also stops directly at the hotel entrance, which is great for going shopping at Ala Moana.
Now for some areas for improvement: The room didn't have many amenities, and there was no free bottled water. It's a bit far from shopping and dining areas; getting to lively spots usually takes more than a 10-minute walk. However, if you love surfing 🏄♂️, this is a great choice as the beach is just a short walk away.

GGuest UserDuring check-in, the staff mocked my lack of English, laughing and making gestures at other staff members, which I found unpleasant. While all explanations were in English, the departure was in Japanese, so I assumed they understood everything. Upon check-out, I was surprised to see a payment of $1,347.40. After returning home, I called Trip.com and they handled the matter, refunding me $1,030.61. However, they had deducted a $316.79 service charge and other charges that were not included in my travel application. The hotel only sent me a receipt by email, with no apology. The staff member who checked me in and checked me out was the same, so I assumed they knew I didn't speak English before making the payment. It was a shame that my trip was so frustratingly disrupted by the hotel's front desk service.

GGuest UserThere is a main building and an annex, but the annex is really bad, and if you stay in the main building, the cost-effectiveness is really good! I stayed for 3 nights and stayed in the annex on the first day and was so depressed that I paid extra money to upgrade my room to the main building, and I was very satisfied! And it's very noisy because it's a downtown area, so take that into consideration! This is a picture of the bathroom when I stayed in the annex, but there was no ventilation and no lighting in the shower cubicle.. It was poor. Compare it with the pictures of the main building!
