This was a short one-night family stay, coinciding with my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Overall, the experience was a mix of good and bad. ✅ **Highlights** The hotel environment is excellent. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms feature double vanities, indicating solid foundational hardware. The in-room amenities are Byredo, with a pleasant, high-end fragrance, which is a definite plus. There are many Japanese staff members, and their service attitude is friendly, with prompt room service. Coinciding with my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, the hotel thoughtfully presented us with a bottle of champagne, which we deeply appreciated. The balcony view is a huge bonus, facing the beach directly. On Fridays, we could watch the weekly fireworks show from the neighboring Hilton without having to jostle through crowds, making for a very special experience. The room comes with a full kitchen. If you don't want to eat the hotel's buffet breakfast, you can buy ingredients from the ABC Store and prepare simple meals yourself, offering great flexibility, which is perfect for family travel. ⚠️ **Downsides** The check-in process was quite frustrating. During peak hours, the hotel strictly enforces a 4 PM check-in time. After our family arrived, there was no suitable indoor waiting area, so we had to wander around outside in the hot sun to kill time. This was very inconvenient for a family trip. Objectively speaking, while the staff's attitude was good and we received a surprise treat for the anniversary, when compared to similarly priced luxury hotels in Japan and luxury brands of the same caliber domestically, there's still a gap in the overall service completeness and detailed processes. 📝 **Summary** It was an adequate stay for one night. The unbeatable ocean view balcony, the ability to watch fireworks, the Byredo amenities, and the thoughtful anniversary champagne were all highlights. The room type with a kitchen is practical for families. However, the rigid check-in process during busy periods is a clear drawback. If visiting during peak season, be prepared for a late room handover.

Perfect location. Rooms clean and beds comfy. Great breakfast but should have included in package. Daily charge very expensive. Naive about the daily resort charge which made it a very expensive stay, you’re not made aware until check out. Great holiday though. Will be back but better prepared for hidden charges

The Disney Hotel in Hawaii is indeed a Disney in the dream. Sunshine ☀️ Beach 🏖️ Coconut Tree 🌴, the hotel staff is also very warm and thoughtful. After arriving at the hotel, they immediately changed from i to e, especially the interactive link and Disney's cockroaches are particularly happy 🥳 really spent the magical three days. 🪄🏰 I will come again next time.

Great location, just a few minutes from Waikiki Beach. We booked an ocean view room, which was beautiful, and the view wasn't obstructed by the parking lot. The balcony was lovely, very relaxing to sit there, eat, and enjoy the ocean view. The best part was that even though I'm not a member, they gave me my room at 12 PM, which was incredibly thoughtful. The Asian cleaning lady was exceptionally kind and enthusiastic every time she saw us. We didn't leave a big tip, but she still thanked us repeatedly and even offered us coffee. Beach towels can be picked up and returned by scanning your room card. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor, opening at 6 AM.

The hotel's location is great for public transport, and it's just across the street from Waikiki Beach. Right downstairs, there are ABC Stores, Starbucks, and other shops and restaurants, which is very convenient. There were many front desk staff, but during peak hours, we still had to wait in line for a long time. We stored our large suitcases for 3 days due to island hopping, but were charged about $15, which contradicts the 'free luggage storage' mentioned on the platform. The room itself was spacious with comfortable bedding, and there was a coffee maker that could also boil water. For drinking water, you need to bring your own bottle to refill in the lobby. The bathroom was quite roomy, and the toilet had a bidet. From the room's balcony, you could see the beach and Diamond Head in the distance, but the view was somewhat obstructed. Perhaps because it's too close to the neighboring hotel, there was a huge, noisy machine on the building directly opposite the balcony, which was especially noticeable at night. Although I was generally quite satisfied with the hotel, the drawbacks are something I can't overlook, so I might try a different place next time.

It was a comfortable stay. Only restaurants are expensive, so I chose a condominium and used the microwave quite a bit. I think you can stay without inconvenience if you can speak English at the travel level. Good point. This beachfront hotel had a great atmosphere and allowed for a truly elegant stay. Despite a few drawbacks, my overall impression was very positive. Pros: * Excellent location (right on the beach) * Wonderful ambiance in the restaurants like Mai Tai Bar and Surf Lanai * The historic room felt very clean and full of character. Cons: * The information given at check-in was outdated (there were discrepancies between the Japanese and English versions), which meant I missed out on the hotel tour. * Some restaurant staff seemed more focused on rushing through their duties. * Noise.

I booked a Sunset Ocean View room specifically to watch the sunset from my room. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so I only got to see it once, but it was the most amazing sunset. It was great to have a kitchen, which allowed me to cook my own meals and reheat takeout during my stay. I was a bit disappointed that there was no bathtub, only a shower, which was an oversight on my part. Some days were cool, and with only a weak-pressured shower, it felt a little cold. They didn't replace towels unless they were left on the floor, and despite leaving a note asking for more coffee and tea, they weren't restocked. I was told the sofa bed linens were in the closet, but they weren't there. I had to ask a staff member in the hallway to bring them. On the plus side, we received two complimentary bottles of water and one ice cream daily, which was a nice touch. The poke bowl shop on the first floor was also delicious. While there are shops selling groceries, they are overpriced, so the nearby ABC Store is a better option for cheaper items. The hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center and even Waikiki, which was very convenient. However, the front desk usually only had one or two staff members, and none spoke Japanese. This caused some confusion, as I didn't understand that the security fee was a deposit. Thankfully, I was able to confirm this with their customer service later. The lack of staff meant long waits whenever I had a question, which was inconvenient. Overall, the location was fantastic, and I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

We usually stay at this hotel when we're in Hawaii. The staff are all very kind and left a good impression. The rooms have been renovated and are very clean, but this time, housekeeping (towel change, etc.) wasn't done for two days. On the first day, I had to call the front desk just to get the towels changed. I also requested that the room be cleaned the next day, but it still wasn't, so I had to call again before they finally cleaned it. The cleaning staff were pleasant and left a good impression, but both rooms we booked were forgotten. They did clean them after we called a couple of times, and the location is great, so I'd still use this hotel again.

We were a bit disappointed initially with the cleanliness as there was a stain on the bed sheet upon entering the room. Thankfully, housekeeping changed it within the hour. The place is located in a central location, close to the beachfront at Waikiki, with a partnership with beachfront stores for beach equipment, as well as GoPros, sunscreen, lotion etc. that can be borrowed, included in the resort rate. However, the age of the hotel is really starting to show, it is in need of not just a touch up but an overhaul where possible. To be fair, the price, especially that paid for during this period, was a fair representation especially compared to neighbouring downtown hotels, given you do receive much more space and a kitchenette with microwave in the case of the 1 bedroom suite. However, I would say that I would have enjoyed my stay far more if at least some work was put in to modernise the space. In particular, my bathtub had peeling paint, and the colours of the room need some work.
