We enjoyed our trip and the stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Although we recommend purchasing gifts, water and food off-resort due to the super inflated prices, the staff was excellent and kind. Get a room in the Lagoon or Makai tower to oversee the dolphins. Ours was an ocean view and it was breathtaking. As far as hotel rooms go, it was pretty standard but clean and comfortable. It was a good landing place between adventures. Pricey but worth it for being a safe and family-friendly place. Do the buffet for breakfast but not every day as you’ll get sick of it 🤣 or your kids will just eat the cereal for $55/adult and $27/kid or something. 🤣

I saw in other reviews that the facilities were outdated, but overall, it felt new and the location is right in front of Waikiki Beach, so it's great for shopping and going to the ocean. I came to Oahu for shopping after being on another island, and the location is good enough to walk to this accommodation. The only regret, like other reviews, was that the soundproofing was really poor.

Check in staff could have explained procedures better and let you know what amenities were available to use such as towels for the beach and beach chairs. Food at DK steakhouse was average but very expensive.
Service at the pool was great. Location was good close to the beach. Be aware of the resort fee of $55 American.

I booked this hotel three times between Ctrip and Qunar, because the price dropped the closer I got. The location of the hotel is indeed good, the room is large, the balcony has a good view, and it is very comfortable to use. Although the hotel is large, the elevator is very fast, and getting in and out is not as troublesome as some reviews said. The only inconvenience was that I checked out of the room that day, stored my luggage and went shopping. When I came back, I found that on the check-in floor on the second floor, all toilets required swiping a room card to enter, OMG. Later, I went to the change room where the third-floor swimming pool is located. There is no need to swipe the room card there.
It’s very close to Marugame Udon, a popular udon restaurant. The “Mai*” matcha ice cream next to it is also good. You can try the purple potato balls in Duke Lane. The local poke bowl is worth a try.

The Ritz-Carlton Waikiki, Hawaii, is classified as a five-star hotel on Ctrip. The suite is over 60 square meters and costs 6,800 yuan, excluding breakfast. In addition to its good location, the hotel's lobby facilities, decoration level, and service staff quality are only three stars of Japanese hotels. We booked a sea-facing suite, and the bed and sofa bed were surprisingly soft. We called the guest room three times on the third night, and each time a different person came to see it and said that it would be solved immediately, but they never came back. After another call, two male waiters finally came together to turn the big mattress over and turned the back up, and they felt that it was normal in hardness and softness. We continued to wait for them to solve the problem of the soft sofa bed. The two male waiters said they would come back immediately, but they were nowhere to be seen. Until a female housekeeper came to check and told her that we were still waiting for the problem to be solved, she also promised to come back but never came back. I had no choice but to call the front desk again and a male waiter came. He left for another ten minutes and came back, saying that I could put the other half of the mattress of the big bed (many double beds abroad are made of two single mattresses covered with a large mattress cover to prevent turning over and affecting each other) on the sofa bed with the hard side facing up. In the end, I had no choice but to do this. The room facilities were very simple, at most three-star level. The restaurant breakfast was a mixture of various foods topped with some local sauce, and it always tasted the same. A breakfast order for two people plus a 20% tip was 60 or 70 US dollars; a Chinese meal in the hotel restaurant, ordering a few plates plus a tip, was 160 US dollars, and the taste was similar. I just stayed in a five-star hotel in Japan and then transferred to ANA business class to fly to Hawaii. The difference between the hotel level and service is really not a little bit. The biggest failure of this trip was choosing this so-called five-star hotel. There will be no next time.

This hotel named as “the First Lady” in Waikiki and the heritage building attracts you deeply and looks very nice. I think I was a bit misled by the platform about the “private beach” as it actually refer to a very small area that the hotel renting some umbrella for their guest and make it as a “private area” instead of a real private beach. However, the location is excellent located in the center of Waikiki beach with very close walking distance and we enjoy the time in the beach very much.

Location was great.
Service wise was soooooooo bad. My guest wanted to extend his stay. The person we talked to was nothing helpful at all. His attitude was not the nicest and sounded disingenuous. I couldn’t catch his name too well coz he spoke so fast when I asked for his name - Noah or Noiah?
Please consider changing a more suitable person to help your customers with their needs. Maybe it’s good to look at his gifts / skills and place him somewhere else for the benefit of your hotel.
The call with this service staff was extremely unpleasant. Will not consider Hyatt Place again.

Consider it a happy little accident. I had missed my flight home because of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade and was stuck an extra day on Oahu. I looked to see what was the cheapest hotel room available and the Ka La’i popped up which surprised me.
Booked the room quick because the Honolulu Marathon was the following day and almost every hotel was sold out.
I got an ocean view suite with a King bed as my room and loved it. Bathroom was amazing, bed was super comfortable and overall the suite was spacious. Although it had a kitchen it didn’t have a dedicated dining table, even a small one. Only thing in the sitting area was a glass coffee table that was long enough for my needs of just a late night pizza dinner.
Staff was helpful and even as I was checking out, I casually asked if I could tour the Penthouse suite because I had always wanted to book it. The 2 front desk workers escorted me to the Penthouse and gave me a little tour. It was impressive.
Definitely would stay there again soon.

MMeilihukanshijieThe hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time.
The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea.

Mmichelle1007There were three nights in total. Since my schedule was uncertain at the beginning, I divided it into three bookings. For the first time, I couldn't combine orders and needed to update my check-in at the front desk every day. This was acceptable. But the next day I was told that the room I was staying in was booked out, and I needed to check out, then check in again at night and change rooms. This was unacceptable to me, and the negotiation ended with only a small amount of compensation from Ctrip. And when I checked in again, I couldn't find my luggage, which was very frustrating. I was also shocked that he was so unapologetic about not having a room to spare. This is a long-term rental area, and Target, Walmart, and luxury stores are very convenient. However, there are mostly Koreans here, and the Korean-faced lady at the front desk is obviously discriminatory and indifferent. I don’t know how to evaluate it. The hotel is very new and modern, but the service has not kept up with it. The previous guest's domestic garbage under the sink was not disposed of. The long swimming pool and small shed need to be booked at the spa. The dining by the pool is very delicious, plentiful and cost-effective. Then it should be noted that only the corner room in the entire hotel has a full sea view, so it makes no sense for me to book a sea view room. The area is also on the small side. The bed was very soft, but I didn't feel any backache at all.

GGuest UserHow good is the hotel service attitude? The second floor of the room I just gave me was on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, but it was blocked by the hotel platform. I couldn't see anything. I was given a free upgrade to the pool view and I could see some sea and mountain views.

YYUTONGShare with you the hotel experience:
There are two rooms, one single bed in one room, two single beds in one room, the middle living room sofa is a double bed, and the living room has a kitchen with a full range of kitchenware, which is very suitable for the whole family, young and old, especially children. The family is very suitable. One bathtub can take a bath, and there are two showers. The bathroom is large. The space in the room is very reasonable. The balcony can go out directly to see the sea. Sometimes birds will come in. Downstairs is The swimming pool inside the hotel can only be accessed by swiping the room card. The hotel provides a towel card. You can go to the small window next to the pool to change the towels. After you use the towels, you can exchange the towels for use next time. There are many activities in the hotel. The submarine play items can be purchased just downstairs from the hotel, and the snorkeling can also be purchased downstairs from the hotel. In addition, the food in the hotel is also affordable and the price is acceptable. In short, the supporting facilities in the hotel are very good, which is very suitable for the whole family.

ZZHENThe hotel was provisionally scheduled because of the extended holiday season. With two children, I care more about space and decided to double bed. In terms of size, the price is okay. But compared to Trump, the gap has widened. There is no drinking water, no dishwasher, it is a public laundry, and sanitary standards and services are not the same. Valet parking is a bit cheaper at $ 28. Wifi was very poor in the end.

GGunawanFeliciaWe had a very nice stay at Hotel La Croix, it is walking distance to the beach. When we first got there, we had asked if we possibly could get a room with a view and was initially told our room initially assigned is on the lower level and has construction view. Manager offered to upgrade us for a fee to a higher floor room. It has a very nice view of the beach but being that the room has 2 windows, the other side is still a construction view. Beds are comfortable and room has everything we need. Because of the upgrade, we had received access to the Monkey pod room which provided free bottled water, canned drinks and snacks. Overall we had a pleasant stay there. Didn't get to enjoy the pool, but it's also nice that the hotel has ABC store right downstairs and free coffee in the morning in the lobby.

KKyokoSI stayed at Hilton a few months ago. I would definitely stay at Ilikai if I had to choose between the two. I could stay in an ocean view room with a kitchen for less though the room was a little outdated and less beautiful than the room at Hilton. The staff was all friendly. GGuest UserThere is a main building and an annex, but the annex is really bad, and if you stay in the main building, the cost-effectiveness is really good! I stayed for 3 nights and stayed in the annex on the first day and was so depressed that I paid extra money to upgrade my room to the main building, and I was very satisfied! And it's very noisy because it's a downtown area, so take that into consideration! This is a picture of the bathroom when I stayed in the annex, but there was no ventilation and no lighting in the shower cubicle.. It was poor. Compare it with the pictures of the main building!
