5*. Service and food. Delicious Sunday carvery. One of the best I've eaten. Very clued up on peanut allergy and checked food order to ensure no peanuts. Very impressed. A very enjoyable time and highly recommend. Unfortunately we were too full to sample the puddings.

£100. Including breakfast in a very pretty village. We have just returned from a 1 night stay. We had room 7 (cottage next door) and very pleasantly surprised. Had out own front room, room clean, towels, loads of tea and coffee and some sweets on the bed! The bathroom is very dated, and shower was one of those that you have to hold. But it's £100 and breakfast, so for that reason, it's 5 stars for me. If they did the bathroom, they could easily charge £130 - £150 a night! Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were really lovely. We would definitely stay again, but we certainly request room 7!

Originally booked a table for two. Asked to change it to six. No problem. Food and drinks excellent. Service could not have been better. Friendly and efficient. Would thoroughly recommend. Between the six of us we tried 5 different main courses. All were thoroughly enjoyed.

The room was ok, the pub was busy and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back

A very welcoming friendly pub/hotel which provides really good tasty food, excellent beers and an atmosphere that you want to take to other pubs A superb local with comfortable seating areas , in the village centre and a reputation that many others would want to capture

What a lovely place. Our meal was most enjoyable. Staff are fantastic Location is just perfect The is a negative: Noise from the bar iscquite loud in our room and that was without me wearing my hearing aids.

Went for one night with Fiance we had an excellent meal food was amazing and the portions very substantial. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable nothing was too much trouble for the staff and breakfast was very filling and good quality produce all in all would highly recommend to anyone. We will be going back very soon.

Booked for lunch last Tuesday. A lovely warm welcome and friendly staff. The food was excellent and the sandwiches freshly prepared and piping hot soup. Would definitely recommend and will return when next in the area. Thank you to the staff.

This is all that a country pub should be. Unpretentious, friendly staff and a menu that ticks all the boxes from snacks to a full dinner menu. We really enjoyed our sandwiches and pint, accompanied by superbly cooked chips. We’ll definitely be back
