Irreplaceable Location: Right near Guangming Peak, it’s the prime spot for sunrise, sunset, and sea of clouds! Watching the sunrise requires no long trek in the morning, saving significant energy. Just a short walk (about 15-20 minutes) from the hotel door gets you to the best viewing point – friendly for families with seniors/children or anyone wanting to avoid exhaustion! Clean & Cozy Rooms: Mountain-top conditions are limited, but the room was exceptionally clean and tidy. The bedding was dry and comfortable (crucial in the humid high altitude!), and being able to take a hot shower and sleep soundly after a day of hiking was pure bliss. Window to a Fairyland: Our room window faced the valley. When mist swirled, it was like a fairyland, on clear days, we could admire the majestic, overlapping mountain peaks. Lying in bed enjoying the mountain views – it's totally worth it! Breakfast: The variety at the mountaintop buffet breakfast was impressive for such a high altitude. Getting a hot, filling breakfast like this at 1,800+ meters to fuel up for the day's adventures was absolutely essential and deeply satisfying! Special praise for Steward Huang(黄星华)! Her service was super warm and attentive, providing loads of practical information from check-in guidance to itinerary suggestions. Upon checkout, she thoughtfully gave us a small gift. While not expensive, this gesture felt incredibly warm and heartfelt.

A much better hotel comparing to BaiYun hotel in terms of the condition of the facilities and rooms. It is just newer, better and serve better FOOD . But since Baiyun is located in the Front Mountain , and Xihai on the back mountain , one would still have to stay at BaiYun if they are planning to climb front mountain , and one have to stay at XiHai if planning to climb Back Mountain. Remember Huangshan is divided into 3 areas , Front , Back and DaXiaGu with 73 peaks in total ! If you dont mind the cost , XIhai hotel is the best hotel if you are climbing the Back Mountains. Note : Huangshan is just too big , you need to see the map and plan properly before attempting ! The photos i posted is the view from the hotel ! We booked this place to stay the night before our overnight trip to Huangshan. The hotel is located between the Tangkou bus station and the Huangshan entrance gates, so you might have to take another bus or taxi (which however are very cheap to get there. The shuttle bus you need to take in the morning is in walking distance though. Upon arrival, the host gave us a free upgrade after a friendly conversation and a lot of good advice for the following trip to the mountain. The room we stayed in was probably one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in on our travels in Asia, and definitely the best value for money so far. The hotel also offers free luggage storage and offered us to borrow some hiking poles (which we unfortunately forgot in the morning). When we came back the day after, we were even allowed to take a quick shower before getting on our Taxi out of town. Overall, we couldnt have wished for a better stay and would recommend anyone visiting Huangshan to stay here.

Location at the top of the mountain cannot be faulted and close to quite a few scenic spots. They also organise sunset & sunrise tours for guests (min 5 people) and if there are enough people, a photography workshop. We didn't have enough people for the workshop which was a shame. Service and attention was top notch and very friendly staff (shout out to Mr Li, 李管家 who was extremely helpful with all our questions and provided suggestions on the hiking routes). The actual building is a little dated but it looks like they're carrying out works to make improvements. As it was after peak holiday season, they also upgraded our no window room booking to one with a window. 👍

What We Liked Service staff were very warm and friendly, and there's a WeChat where they update on sunrise timings at the nearby Danxia Peak. The path to Danxia peak was well lit even at 4am, and the room comes with thick jackets and a torch light for you to bring along. The staff made all the difference in our stay as they genuinely wanted to ensure our stay was enjoyable. As it is the closest hotel to Danxia peak, it is very convenient to get to within 20mins for both sunrise and sunset. However if you are looking to catch the sea of clouds, it is much further away. What We Disliked The room layout is quite odd, and our ”window” faces the corridor and into the next unit. This meant that sound is very audible even with the window closed. But if the window is closed, there's no ventilation and makes the room uncomfortably warm. I guess it's not an issue on colder nights. If you manage your expectations that this is a hotel on the mountaintop, where heavy goods are hand carried by workers it is ok.

A 3-generation family of 6 visited Huangshan for 3 days, Yupinlou was our 1st stop. Because of the weather, we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor as wishes, but we received very considerated services from the staff. The front desk ladies provided us with the best 3-bed family room and added the 4th bed to accommodate us without additional fee. My son didn’t feel well, their staff provided valuable assistance, especially gentleman 徐海忠 provided soft rice and followed us through departure. Appreciated.

Fantastic value for money! Accomodation is simple, but location is perfect to catch the bus to go to the scenic area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Host was kind and helped me organize a private car to my next destination that was cheaper than a cab.

This stay was a 12/10! Firstly, the exterior of the hotel was stunning first look as you enter. Then, they let us store some of our bags here that we did not need to bring to the top of the mountain for one night so we didn’t need to carry so many things which was extremely helpful. Then, from the hotel they drove us to the south entrance & the car was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast & laundry!! So good. The following day as we came back from the mountains, we were given a number to contact someone from the hotel to come pick us up and bring us back to the hotel! There were many employees there to assist us when we arrived. One was helping us check in, another was telling us about their room service and showing us the menu. As we were getting our bags that we left, a female employee helped us carry all our heavy bags by herself and kindly showed us where our room was. Even when we tried to help her, she would say its okay. Moreover, when we arrived into our rooms, the first look was that it was extremely neat and tidy, the atmosphere had a homey comfortable vibe, smells nice and very spacious for a family of 4! Highly recommend to stay here! They also go out of their way to help us with special requests and showed they sincerely cared for their guests happiness. ＜3

Very nice stay! Hot springs are definitely distinct for this hotel. Different springs with slightly different temperatures, great to relax. One lady spoke pretty good english and could help us with choosing hiking route and gave us a map. The breakfast is good. There is a laundry room with 2 wasching machines and dryer. Nice extra is the small tea set in the room. Extra tip, if you leave the hotel walk 100m to the left there is a very good restaurant (with yellow and red lights).

Location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the South Gate bus terminal to take the bus Huangshan cable ways (Yuping & Yungu). You can buy the bus ticket and park ticket at this terminal. Plenty of food outlets and supermarkets surrounding the hotel. Hotel helped me arranged for transport from Huangshan North railway station to the hotel and from hotel to same railway station on the day we left, at 35 Yuan per pax, on 8 seater sharing MPV. Booked 2 rooms and was given a free upgrade. Check in was fast & efficient as there were many check in staff on duty. Hotel also provides free wooden hiking sticks for guests, just return them at the reception counter after hiking. After checking out, I was going to the mountain again and to stay overnight in the mountain top in another hotel. Deposited our luggages at the hotel and collected then next day before going to the train station. Breakfast was good, free porridge at 9.30pm nightly too. Reception also helped to arrange for transport to a nearby scenic spot, Emerald Valley, with reasonable transport of 80 Yuan for both ways. If you want other Huangshan day trips, there is a tour desk operating at the hotel lobby which you can book trips further out of the town. We saw quite a number of guests booking trips at the tour desk. Many guests left their rooms early in the morning to start their hike, hence we could hear sound of frequent doors shutting from as early as 6am. Overall, had a very good stay and enjoyed the service and convenience provided.
