"The newly renovated hotel is almost done as there's still ongoing repair works from 8am-5pm. Accessibility and parking are great. Staff are friendly, approachable and accommodating. Facilities are simple and manageable . Restaurants inside and nearby the hotel. Room doors a little bit heavy and hard to open. Room rates maybe considered pricey as to what ot has to offer. Few selections of food serves at the buffet maybe because it's Holy Week. The buffet was serves in a closed air-conditioned room which is nice however, even as we know that the establishment is a pet friendly hotel, eating with the animals/pets together all at the same place may find it uncomfortable and uneasy for other guests. Most pet friendly establishment and restaurants allows the pet owners and their pets to eat together but on an open place as animal hairs and others may flew to the food especially it's a buffet. There's an open veranda adjacent to the closed air-conditioned buffet where the management can consider to let pet owners and their pets to eat together, with due respect and consideration to all guest and not to offend pet lovers just like us. Likewise in a good number of hotels, pets and pet owners are not allowed to sleep in the same room as other guests in the future to use the same room may have allergies making the stay not as comfortable and enjoyable as we expect. "Our stay in Tagaytay was overall very enjoyable. The hotel offers absolutely stunning views of the lake, which was the highlight of our visit. The spaces are comfortable and well laid out, with a large pool perfect for relaxing.
The staff at the front desk were welcoming and attentive, and the bell service was a very nice touch. We also appreciated the play area, which makes the property especially convenient and family-friendly.
On the downside, some of the furniture felt a little dated, and the response time when calling reception was not always as quick as expected. Still, these were minor issues compared to the overall positive experience.
A great option in Tagaytay if you’re looking for comfort, beautiful views, and a family-oriented atmosphere."

Our room has shattered/broken glasses on the carpet, good thing my son was not hurt!
We immediately reported and demanded that they vacuum and clean.

"We love the aesthetic of the place.. although some of the area seemed abandoned or neglected.. but it didn’t really matter much coz there’s still the other spots that are well maintained. The service was good, though a little less prompt .. one particular case was with the tv.. we asked the operator to have someone to come check the connection but it took a while and I had to make a follow up call .. overall we had pleasant experience .. worth visiting and staying for a short getaway from the busy city life"

"Worth every penny for family lalo na sa mga kids. Di sila mauubusan ng gagawin. They have play area at the same time a heated pool, na pwede magswimming kahit malamig. "Went there to recharge for a night and I can stay that there are only 2 things that disappointed me there.First, we happen to be placed besides a room that has a baby crying nonstop at 2am in the morning and 2nd, the crispy wings are super small like it came from a tiny bantam chicken. Though the pizza and other items in their bfast buffet are all super delicious.
For the positives, the staff are all very courteous and friendly. Room is clean and spacious with complete ammenities though it is not that soundproof since we can hear the crying baby next door at 2am.
The animals are the stars of my stay and they are so entertaining and very eager to chow down the feeds. I can probably stay there for the entire day if not for the rain that comes and goes.
Over all I'll be glad to stay at their hotel again and just vibe with the geese,chicken and the peacocks."

With the hotel old and i think this is the pioneer hotel in Tagaytay dont expect high end facilities and modern bed and stuffs. Hindi ito pwede sa maarte pero mung comfort at magandang view ng Tagaytay dito one of the best hotel for us.

GGuest UserWe booked a Superior Room via Trip.com, which mentioned an option between a king-size bed or two single beds. However, upon confirming directly with the hotel, we were informed that the room only comes with a king-size bed—there is no option for two singles. This was quite disappointing as the listing was misleading.
We then requested to upgrade our room, but on the day of our check-in, we were told it was unavailable due to a leak from the rain. With limited options, we had to proceed with the original room and pay extra for an additional bed, which was unfortunately not very comfortable. Unfortunately, the beddings also had multiple tears, which affected the overall comfort.
Additionally, the TV wasn’t working due to cable issues, and the other room we booked ended up not being used. We were told the front desk would be informed, but no clear update was given.
Lastly, the WiFi signal was very weak—I had to leave the door open just to get a stable connection.
While the staff were polite, we hope the hotel can improve on communication, listing accuracy, and room amenities for a better guest experience.

GGuest UserEscala truly boasts one of the most stunning locations and the best infinity pool in Tagaytay. The team is warm and accommodating, big shout out to the security guards, bellmen, and housekeeping for their friendliness and helpfulness.
Just a small tip for the front desk team, particularly the receptionist who handled our check-in: it would be helpful to briefly go over the reservation details and share a bit of information about the hotel’s amenities during the check-in process. This isn’t a complaint, just a friendly suggestion from someone also working in the hospitality industry, so guests won’t need to ask for every detail later on. Again i dont wanna put someone on a bad light.

Kkylo kyloWe stayed in this hotel because it was close to a friend’s wedding venue. The hotel is on a vast property and is quite nice to look at as you drive up the grand driveway. We arrived late in the evening of our first night. Lobby staff were quite nice but when we got to our room which was pretty far away, the room cards weren’t working. Luckily, a staff member was walking by and helped us get a new card. We stayed here four nights and had problems with the room card every time we returned to our room. Pretty frustrating. The hotel has a beautiful view of the volcano and surrounding mountains but it is old and feeling worn down. Breakfast was ok and staff were friendly. Wouldn’t come again though. But thanks for the stay!

DDMerylCONTAINERS-is conveniently located across from SVD Starbucks - with view of Taal Lake. It’s really an Eco friendly- green environment made with all different kinds of organic materials- from outside to inside. Local artists- including owners work ,decorate the space. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Nice bathroom. Japanese Restaurant on site is delicious. Air conditioning in rooms is ok - but a little noisy. Needs some air freshener in room- smells a bit musty.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The highlight of our stay was the stunning view of the Taal Volcano from our room. Waking up to such a breathtaking sight every morning was truly magical and added a special touch to our celebration.
We were also delighted to encounter a lot of wild monkeys around the property. It was such a unique and exciting experience that made our stay even more memorable.
The breakfast at Villa Ibarra was fantastic. There was a wide variety of delicious options, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect way to start our day, and we looked forward to it each morning.
One of our favorite features was the cozy jacuzzi. It was the ideal place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The warm water and serene atmosphere made it a perfect spot for some quality time together.
Overall, our stay at Villa Ibarra was exceptional. The combination of the stunning Taal Volcano view, the exciting wildlife encounters, the delicious breakfast, and the relaxing jacuzzi made for a perfect birthday celebration for my wife. We are grateful to the staff for their warm hospitality and for making our stay so memorable.

My only concern is they clean the room on the 2nd night even though we don't request it. We are shocked when we are back in the room 😂.We really appreciate the initiative but we hope next time, ask permission first. And for the pool, it's too cold. Hoping next time you will have a heated pool 😊

The rooms are spacious enough for a family, and the beds are large and comfortable, easily accommodating two people. The toiletries provided were satisfactory, and overall, the rooms were quite clean. However, we did notice a few small insects and some dust on the bed, likely due to the trees surrounding the area. Despite this minor inconvenience, the hotel is a great place to relax and unwind. The serene environment and adequate amenities make it a pleasant option for a short getaway.

Security: We felt secured in the hotel. They have CCTVs and guards are on duty 24/7.
The location is just beside the main road so it is very accessible. Tho it is located beside the road, we can't hear any sounds from vehicles or motorists along the road. I had a good sleep here.
Water: They have a strong water supply which is a big plus for this hotel as conpared to others.
Restaurant or in house food: not operational but you can order via grab or food panda. no charge.
Rooms: Clean. Bedsheets, pillow cases and comforters are very clean and pristine condition. No moldy smell from room. Spacious and with veranda. Ref is also available. Hopefully, you can add smart tv since your cable tv has 2-3 channels only :(
Cr: Bathtub is a plus point, with hot and cold shower, bidet, and compliementary hygiene kit.
Price: Very reasonable
