The hotel boasts a good location, very close to the T1 tram station. It's within walking distance to the mosque and Hagia Sophia. There's a coffee shop nearby, which is a great option for breakfast if your stay doesn't include it. There's also a Kash handmade soap shop close by, perfect for souvenirs. I booked the most basic room type. The room was quite small, but the bathroom was huge, which made for a strange layout. It did have a balcony though. My friend's room layout was more standard. Around 6:30 AM, the call to prayer was extremely loud. I didn't know about it the first day and it woke me up with a start. The night shift receptionist was handsome and very nice. He was happy to answer all our questions and even gave us good advice on where to exchange money. He was very helpful with directions. There are plenty of dining options nearby. Aside from the small room, everything else was great.

Excellent location within walking distance to the major attractions in Sultanahmet. Hotel staff were outstanding and frequently checked in to see how we were doing. Comfy beds helped with a good nights sleep too!

The location is absolutely unbeatable. All the main attractions in the historic European Old Town are within a 1km walk, and it's also very close to tram stops and ferry terminals, making it super convenient to get to the European New Town and the Asian side. The room facilities are standard but perfectly adequate, and the cleanliness, from what I could see, had no obvious issues. Breakfast is mostly 'white people food' – beyond bread and eggs, there wasn't much else to eat. The service was very warm; I didn't feel any discrimination, and the front desk proactively upgraded our room. Istanbul has so many cats, and they're all so adorable! I definitely want to come back next time!!!

No early check in was available but they took my bag until check-in time. There are lots of tourists and those touting their restaurants. Be careful!

Hotel is a bit up hill, but quite near tram station. A lot eateries around the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree Sirkeci. The hotel was incredibly comfortable, with spacious rooms that offered plenty of room to relax after a long day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my experience was the warm and helpful staff. Always polite, attentive, and ready to assist with any request. The location is a major plus. Situated right in the heart of the city, it's within walking distance to two tram stations, making it very convenient to get around. It's also close to the Bosphorus Strait, perfect for those who want to enjoy a scenic stroll or hop on a ferry. Another great feature is the on-site dining. The hotel has food and beverage outlets right downstairs, which made grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal very easy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in central Istanbul.

The old town has narrow streets, making it difficult to drive. It's close to the old town attractions and Galata Bridge, both within walking distance. However, the soundproofing isn't great, so it can be a bit noisy at night. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and recommended many tour routes.

Our overall experience at this hotel was average. Given that it belongs to a well-known chain, we expected a bit more in terms of service and consistency. The housekeeping was a bit disappointing as the room was not cleaned daily. On the positive side, the front desk staff were very helpful — they quickly arranged our airport transfer and resolved any issues immediately. The location is excellent, just steps away from the tram, making it very convenient for getting around the city.

The rooms were excellent, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They even gave us freshly baked cookies upon check-in! My friend lost her passport, and the staff went above and beyond, helping us contact the airport, and we successfully found it. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul!

The price is good, the facilities are new, and the location is excellent.
