"I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, but I found this place to be a real gem. It's a bit far from the city center, but if you have a car, it's absolutely no problem. Parking is A$25 per night in the standard underground car park. You definitely need a car when visiting Western Australia. The hotel infrastructure is excellent; this setup would easily qualify as a five-star hotel back home. During the Southern Hemisphere summer, the indoor pool was closed, but the outdoor pool is accessible directly with your room key. You can ask the staff for directions. The beach is right downstairs, and you can spend a whole day there, just like the locals do. The ocean-view room was stunning; waking up to the sea view was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean upon check-in. However, the hotel is quite large, and the housekeeping on the second day was a bit slow; our room hadn't been cleaned by 4 PM when we returned, so we just grabbed fresh towels and skipped the cleaning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. This area is a lively hub. Every summer, Western Australia hosts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night markets, and Scarborough is where the Thursday night market takes place. The area around the hotel becomes incredibly vibrant, feeling like all of Perth has descended upon it. Downstairs, there are various restaurants, including a Thursday Special Steak deal, offering a 30% discount. A 300g steak for A$30-40 is an amazing and delightful deal. There's a Coles supermarket within a 5-minute walk, where everything is cheaper – anyone who's traveled to Australia will understand. Everything was so relaxing; I hope to come back soon."

"We stayed in a long stay studio. Was good I think it had been renovated before. Just the room looks a bit dark as it painted in black. They have a good restaurant in the lobby so make sure you try it as it also filled with people."

"Lovely older hotel with character. Our room suited us nicely, great bar and seating area, inside and out. Breakfast was delicious. My husband uses a small mobility scoot and the hotel is very accessible. The parking situation worried me initially but turned out to be easy. Best of all is the location. The pool looked great too."

"Hotel was lovely, staff friendly and good location! Bath was tiny and very shallow so don’t really on it for a bath . It’s a shame you can’t use facilities after checking out, which is available at many other hotels, as I had a very late flight"

"The environment is absolutely perfect, a solid 100 points, and there's a pool! Kangaroos are everywhere, which is a lovely sight. The breakfast was also really delicious. I highly recommend it with five stars, especially for families with kids. It's ideal for a two-night stay."

"The hotel room is new and has a lot of space. Moreover, the hotel is located at the yacht dock, the scenery is very good, and many yachts can be seen. There are many restaurants downstairs and the food is very good. Worth staying for many nights"

"The location was superb close to amenities, walking distance to most destinations. Breakfast was good although it is the same daily. Hotel was clean though a liitle too old,Bed was comfortable. Had a great view. Most importantly the staff were amazing and very helpful. Thr price was affordable and fair."

"I booked online and when arriving we found we were on the first floor with no lift! I had my elderly Mother that was unable to get herself up the stairs. The service was impeccable and they changed our room straight away to ground. We could not fault the services, cleanliness and facilities. The cafe before leaving was perfect for us to enjoy before traveling back to our home. Thank you. "

"My only issue was, I ordered a room with twin beds. But got one bed and had to sleep in the same bed as my son kicking me all night 🙄! And Fridge was extremely small, smaller than a bar fridge.Everything else was amazing. Room service was value for money and tasty. Room was clean. Location great for what we needed"
