Anonymous UserThe room was spacious, although the overall design felt a little dated. It was well equipped with plenty of in-room amenities, including a washer and dryer, which was very convenient.
However, I was quite disappointed with the luggage storage. We arrived a few hours before check-in and asked the staff to store our luggage while we went out. Instead of placing it somewhere secure, our bags were simply left in the hallway. In my experience, other hotels usually tag luggage and store it properly in a designated secure area.
For a hotel at this level, I expected a more professional and secure approach to handling guests’ belongings. Unfortunately, this part of the experience was quite disappointing.

Guest UserThe environment here is beautiful. We stayed in a sunrise room, but didn't wake up early enough to catch the view. I think a sunset room would offer a better view. Parking costs extra, and you have to move your car after check-out. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.

LuobuniyabunierThis is my second stay here, right next to the Swan River, offering incredibly beautiful views. At night, you can enjoy the Perth city lights. There's a grassy area nearby where you can spot seagulls and even black swans. The hotel is also conveniently located next to a ferry terminal, making it easy to travel to and from the city center. It's lovely for an evening run or stroll along the river, and the air is even fresher in the mornings during breakfast. The room was quite spacious, and this time, I even got upgraded to a family room with a living area and a kitchen, perfect for preparing simple meals.

Guest UserLoved the location - if you are okay with stairs, 5min up Jacob's ladder and you're at Kings Park. Or a quick hop up in the morning to get an awesome view of the sunrise over Perth CBD and Swan River, before going back to your room for breakfast! I booked mainly for the cooking facilities, and they were stocked as described (a few pots/pans, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, etc). No foil or baking paper so didn't use the oven. They have luggage storage facilities before and after check-out. The bathroom did have a bit of a funny smell, but that might have been a once-off and everything else was clean. Did not use the gym; it was a little small with no windows so preferred getting outside for exercise.

I had a great experience staying here before, so I booked again. This time, I arrived at the hotel late at night after a tiring flight. The front desk initially said they couldn't find my reservation. After searching for half an hour, they said they found it but claimed I had already checked in. I told them I was right there and hadn't checked in yet. They then spent another twenty minutes verifying. During all this, I contacted Trip.com customer service, who were very responsive and helpful; an agent quickly reached out to the hotel. However, the hotel staff were incredibly slow and inefficient. The whole check-in process took nearly an hour. It was a stark contrast to my previous, much better experience.
Furthermore, on my last stay, they provided a full set of disposable amenities, but this time, there weren't even disposable slippers. I was just too tired in the middle of the night to bother looking for another hotel.
Honestly, this service experience was really disappointing. The environment is actually good, and the location is right next to UWA. Getting to the city takes about ten minutes by taxi.
Kudos to Trip.com's customer service; they were efficient even late at night and had an excellent attitude in resolving the issue!

This is not a normal hotel - it is a beautifully designed boutique hotel, combining different eras of culture, nature and modern amenities. The owner has a natural talent for identifying what people value in accommodation, and has turned these traditional buildings into a special and comfortable place to stay. The rooms have a 1940s base architecture, but with modern bathrooms, kitchens, lighting etc, and classic furniture such as leather seats. Downstairs there is a great restaurant (open breakfast, lunch and dinner) which serves quality meals with local ingredients - people from the neighborhood come just to use the restaurant. There is also an inbuilt bookshop full to the brim with unique, high quality and beautiful versions of books - many are sealed so can't be read, but looking at them all is quite fun. Buildings and gardens have been merged, allowing space for the trees to grow through balconies, adding to the authentic character. Location is near the bottom of a hill - at the top is Kings park, and at the bottom is a pedestrian bridge to the edge of the CBD, so it may take 5 minutes more to reach some city venues, but well worth it for the quality experience.

Cleanliness close to perfect overall, some kitchen utensils and furniture might look old/dirty and need a change but you can always request for clean utensils. It would have been better if the king bed is a proper king bed rather than 2 single beds zipped together.

The room is generally clean. On the first day of check-in, there were cigarette butts from the previous guest in the room, with wine stains on the ashtray and the small table on the terrace. The floor of the room was not very clean either. The other facilities can only be described as acceptable. The swimming pool is not big, and hotel breakfast is usually at your own expense. The location is excellent. In conclusion, HKD$2xxx per night is a low value for money, but considering the Easter holiday, and the fact that I decided to book a hotel a week before departure, this was the only option I had. But I won't stay there next time

The hotel has a great location, very close to Chinatown for food. The room was quite spacious, a one-bedroom apartment with twin beds and a kitchen. The facilities were just okay, but the price was reasonable. The male staff at the front desk was very nice!
