Pullman Xishuangbanna Resort Reviews

Great service , fantastic whole complex , beautiful entrance and garden

We have been visiting the Pullman Resort during our Golden Week Holiday. The hotel was quite empty despite the festival season. We also know the Pullman in Sanya Bay well and were somewhat disappointed of the one in Xishuangbanna. Overall, the hotel was way too expensive for the provided quality and services, we cannot recommend it. Pro: The hotel has been a nice choice due to its rooms in good conditions but nothing “special”. + The location is a bit outside of Jinghong - so it’s quiet and green, you can do nice small walks in the area of the resort + Since it wasn’t full, you could easily get some space during breakfast + The breakfast was quite nice (but monotonous after 3 days). + Very nice of the breakfast staff: in the last morning they provided us some bacon since the children were looking for it Cons: General: - The service level was not good at many places of the hotel: - No English speaking staff in the hotel. Especially at the reception it’s a big disadvantage - No shuttle service to public spaces - In the area are not many shops or restaurants and at least many were closed during our stay (maybe because of Golden Week) - The outside breakfast area is not nice and you are more or less forced to sit inside due to pest control during morning - The intensity of pest control was terrible; every day they sprayed somewhere in the hotel chemicals. During the morning the garden was fully covered in smog of chemicals and you cannot go outside; even inside the breakfast area you could smell it; one day in the afternoon the entrance street to the street was fully covered with smog and it was almost impossible to walk through there, due to pest control the whole garden is literally dead, don’t expect nice butterflies or dragonflies - it’s all gone (see the first picture) The pool service is poor for many reasons: - You cannot order any food or drink at the pool; - They don’t have any seat mattresses/cover, you have to sit on the blank chairs - The number of seats at the pool is very limited, even when the hotel was not full, not every person could get a seat - The sunshade umbrellas are useless as they cannot be moved or changed and their direction does not protect well against the sun - The requirement to wear a swimming cap is strange and everyone needed to buy one…

Beautiful hotel family friendly. The service was outstanding and would like to thanks Miss Viva for all the help and care. She made sure all our needs were met for a perfect stay. We will be back and can only recommend this hotel in xishuangbanna.

Great location with lots of food options in the neighborhood a short drive away or a bike ride away. The resort area comprises of Pullman, crowne plaza and Wanda. So if u prefer to eat in one of these hotels that’s an option but much more pocket friendly options in the area too outside of this hotel area but close by. Rooms are comfortable. An outdoor and indoor pool are available but the indoor one water is too cold and needs to be regulated. The steam and sauna are not always on so if u are the first one to use like in my case then u have to wait till it heats up and gets fully operational. Steam worked great but sauna not so good. Jacuzzi was busted and non-operational. Don’t forget to get ur swimming caps as even though outdoor pool one is not required but if it rains u must go to the indoor one as per hotel rules and for indoor u need a cap and to buy one at site is very expensive. The check in desk person Jacky Chen was very nice and helpful. Smooth check in process. Eva he at the breakfast buffet was also very kind and friendly and all the staff generally were good. However the staff at the front entrance gate need to be trained better to talk to customers like they normally should to customers but I felt they were very rude although it was not there intention to be rude. They just need better training. Parking is not allowed around the entrance circle but many people are allowed to park and is not consistent. If they allow one car to park then they should allow all. Local cars should not get preference. Even the help staff at the breakfast should be trained a little more to serve customers as it was quite chaotic. Overall a pleasant stay but some improvements required as highlighted above.

Beautiful hotel. Very comfortable room and the bed was amazing. Perfect as a solo traveller. Good range of breakfast choices and very helpful dining room staff. Communicated through messaging and translator app. Cara Yu the lobby manager was very helpful. Jack Huang in the restaurant explained all the food choices on offer and explained the specials. His English was very good. Pool area beautiful and the water was clean. Whole area is well maintained and pool staff were helpful and polite. Did not use the hotel bar but made use of room service, which was prompt.

Hotel is old, long time didn’t make any renovation, but location is good. Service in the restaurant were very kind and polite. But the housekeeping wants to be better. Cleaning is poor. After the cleaning still rims looks not good.

Amazing room and super clean… the reception was stunning too. The restaurant wasn’t open on the first night so we had to order room service to the bar which was a bit odd. Food was so-so. Breakfast wasn’t bad though! The pool was huge and clean but looked a bit murky and was a bit of a mission to get cushions for the loungers. I loved the room and grounds but not sure I’d go there again as the rest of the hotel seemed to be functioning at 50% and it’s also quite a drive to downtown where all the fun things are.

The location is perfect if you want a quiet area. A bit far from the tourist area. The rooms are very clean. The showers are awesome. The pool area is quite nice, with a lot of space for the kids and adults to enjoy. A special thanks to the staff Ada Zhou. Extremely nice and helpful. 5 Star for Ada Zhou.

If you are bringing children, please book this kind of parent-child hotel! You can spend a whole day in the hotel! There are many activities, and the hotel has the intangible cultural heritage activities of Manzhang Village... It is worth bringing children to experience The housekeeper Jane is very responsible, and the activities and nearby food are arranged clearly for you The hotel breakfast is also very rich, and there are local snacks

The stay experience is very satisfactory. The room is very clean. The hotel also has cute pets, peacocks, birds, alpacas, and the housekeeper Joy is considerate and enthusiastic. I am very happy! Recommended!
