Lagoon View Apartments - Adults Only

Just returned from a wonderful week at Lagoon View. This was our 5th trip to Kefalonia. We always stay at Lagoon View. We love it there. We've had a five year hiatus, having last stayed in 2019. The place was even more wonderful than we'd remembered. Panos, the delightful owner, has made some improvements since we last stayed. There was a very stylish new bathroom in our apartment, with a wonderfully powerful rain head shower. He's added some comfy beanbag style pool loungers, and a canopy to provide dappled shade along one side. You'll find a menu in the room - although self-catering, you can now order home cooked food - you just need to give 24 hours notice. We've eaten quite a few of Mary's delicious home cooked meals over the years. She's a star. The place is still wonderfully peaceful, with spectacular views. There is rarely anyone by the pool - so never a need to reserve sun loungers. But you can mingle with other guests in the evening at the poolbar/ restaurant area. Panos serves a wide variety of drinks. He mixes an excellent Pino Colada and G&T (my drinks of choice). In terms of the surrounding area, as most reviewers say, a car is good idea. Especially if you want to explore this beautiful island. But if you don't mind a walk, there are a couple of lovely Grill Houses in the village, just a couple of KM down the road. There's also a mini market, cake shop, bakery and pizza place in the village. We walked in to the village a few times. We also walked to the capital, Argostoli one night. About an hour - down hill. Then got a taxi back (around €15 I think). Thanks Panos and Mary. See you next year ❤️

This is our second visit to this astounding apartments villa. The facilities are of a high standard, rooms a good size and the bed conformable! This the perfect place to kick-back and relax. Mine hosts Panos and his wife Mary are the perfect hosts. The hire car (a necessity in our view to get round the island) was arranged (as on our first visit 6 years ago) on our behalf by Panos and straightforward and hassle free. A welcome option if not wishing to self cater or eat out was to enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Mary or just a drink at the poolside bar tended by Panos. An enjoyable stay indeed. What's not to like? 😎

The apartments are well looked after by Panos who is very precise about everything. It is clean and comfortable. We had a 2 bed apartment - the 2nd bedroom is very small but the main bedroom spacious with a larger bed & lots of storage. Neither room can be split into 2 singles which is a shame. Daily house keeping & new towels half way through the week. On arrival we were instantly asked for €160 for air con, safety deposit box and accommodation tax, in cash. I wasn’t expecting this, we booked via EasyJet holidays. It would have helped to have been told in advance. Panos is always around, and very helpful if a little obsessive about rules. You cannot take your own drink to the pool - but can buy from his pool bar. If you move a sunbed, you’re asked to move it back afterwards. The gardens are well kept as Panos and his son are watering twice a day (lots of signs in the apartment asking you to conserve water!) Location is fine with a car, or if you’re happy to take a taxi. We hired from Panos (he has 2 cars he rents out) but later discovered he was rather expensive. Had we done our research I would have perhaps hired from the airport. Very peaceful location, lovely views and overall I would recommend if you like to stay in well kept and quiet location.

Panos and Mary gave my friend and I a very warm welcome on our 3rd visit to Lagoon View Apartments. Panos made every effort to ensure our holiday was perfect. Nothing was too much bother. The pool area with bar is spotlessly clean. There are plenty of sunbeds and shade canopies for all guests. The washing machine in our well equipped room meant we could pack lightly. Beds are very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with towels changed regularly. The huge balcony with views over the lagoon is magnificent. If you want to try traditional Greek home cooked food, Mary is an excellent cook. This place is a hidden gem on the island. Lagoon View appears to attract lovely guests as we've met really nice people on each of our visits. Thank you, Panos,Mary, Lydia, and George.

Absolutely fantastic apartments, super clean, to a good standard Panos & Mary are both fabulous, always go the extra mile, super friendly. Panos sorts out your car hire so it’s there waiting for you. They clean the apartments every day - spotless! Amazing views and super quiet. They have the essentials like bread etc waiting for you. Great location for the island - highly recommend. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed at these apartments for 2 weeks in May. From the moment we arrived our hosts Panos and Mary made us really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Panos has great knowledge of the island and arranged our car hire which was trouble free and made getting around this beautiful island a lot easier. The apartments are spacious with everything you need and more, and spotlessly cleaned by Mary every day. The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds and there is a bar where we would meet other guests in the evening for a drink and catch up of the days events. All in all we had a fantastic time met some lovely fellow travellers and found hosts and accommodation that we can’t wait to visit again next year. Yiammas Mary and Panos

Our second visit to these amazing apartments. Panos and Mary are so welcoming. Leaving you in peace but always there if required. The apartment has everything you need .Comfy bed and pillows. We slept like logs Lovely view from our balcony. . We were there for nearly 3 weeks so the washer came in very handy. The pool is fabulos and most days had it to ourselves. Like having your own private villa. Mary's cooking was amazing as usual but unfortunately only managed a meal there once. A car is a must as it is isolated but that's the charm of it. Pamos can arrange car hire for you. We have already booked for next year Thank you again Panos and Mary for another great stay. See you next year xx

Just returned from an 11 night stay at Lagoon View Apartments and what a wonderful experience it was . Panos and his family made us very welcome and nothing was an issue. The apartments are spacious, extremely comfortable and clean, a real home from home. I will definitely be back!!

FOR SOME PEOPLE THIS HAVEN OF PEACE AND TRANQUILITY WILL BE TOO QUIET,BUT IF LIKE US THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IT HITS THE SPOT.IT IS LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL,WHICH IS CLEANED EVERY MORNING BY PANOS, AND IS SPOTLESS,APART FROM THE ODD CICADA THAT MAY NEED RESCUING !!.SITTING ON THE TERRACE AT BREAKFAST,WHICH CAN BE AT ANY TIME BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE,IS A JOY ON IT’S OWN.MARY IS A MAESTRO IN THE KITCHEN AND HER PRE-ORDERED MEALS ARE FABULOUS.THE APARTMENT WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND KEPT COOL WHEN NEEDED BY AIRCON WHICH YOU CONTROL.MENTIONING COOL,A VERY COOL MYTHOS IS AVAILABLE ALONG WITH NUMEROUS OTHER TEMPTING COCKTAILS.PANOS SUPPLIED OUR CAR WHICH YOU DO NEED TO TRAVEL AROUND THIS TRULY BEAUTIFUL ISLAND.THIS WAS NOT OUR FIRST VISIT TO PANOS,AND WILL NOT BE OUR LAST,HE AND HIS FAMILY ARE A BIG CONTRIBUTOR TO ENJOYING AND RELAXING INTO YOUR STAY.ONCE AGAIN OUR THANKS TO,PANOS,MARY,GEORGE,LIVIA.
