Ulaanbaatar Hotels with Kitchens

"This hotel is located near the train station and is run by Chinese owners. The facilities are all brand new and offer excellent value for money! (Compared to the Hill Hotel I stayed at on my first night in Ulaanbaatar, I literally laughed when I saw their ancient hairdryer with an overheating protection that looked like it hadn't been updated in over a decade). The hotel's second floor has a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Chinese food. You can also contact the owner if you need to rent a car or arrange airport transfers."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, right near Sukhbaatar Square. The airport shuttle stop is only about a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining and daily life very convenient. You can walk to many museums from here. Breakfast was decent, with drinks, yogurt, fried rice, and various sausages. The hotel's hygiene was quite good. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very gentle. It was a good stay overall."

"Really Disappointing Communication, But Decent Hostel Overall I contacted the hotel through Trip.com a week before my arrival but they never responded. I also sent two direct emails with no reply, and when I tried calling, the number didn’t work, not even when a Mongolian with a local SIM card tried. They claim to offer a shuttle service, but my request was ignored, then rejected bia trip.com, and I had to arrange my own transport. Only ONE HOUR BEFORE my flight departed did they finally message me saying they could arrange it, which was far too late to be useful. Also they couldn't be trusted at all. Communication and customer service were extremely extremely poor. Wondering if they ignore requests on purpose and they just cant be bothered replying to emails and messages? My check-in was quite late, around 1:00 am, and since their website says check-in is only until midnight, I just wanted confirmation it was okay, but they ignored all my messages. That said, the hostel itself is decent. The capsule beds are comfortable, even though my USB charger did not work. The showers are ok, and breakfast was ok too. Special thanks to the morning reception ladies who were kind and helped me get a Unitel SIM card. To be noted that it is not even allowed to drink alcohol in the lobby, not even to quietly have a beer with someone else. I understand it is not a party hostel, but this rule feels a bit exaggerated. Left after 1 night and went somewhere else where they offered a much better service"

"The hotel is modern and situated in a mall. It’s in a walkable spot to good locations e.g. The State Department Store and Black Market. Everything was very clean, the room was spacious and it was comfortable. The woman on the reception desk was not particularly polite nor helpful - our keycard did not work immediately after checking in. The room was also very hot and the temperature could not be changed."

"The hotel was in a central good location. Staff didn’t speak much English and were a bit quiet. Rooms were good but no light switch next to the beds. The bed linen didn’t got changed in 7 days but we got water and new towels every day. Ulaan batar seems to be everywhere pretty expensive so not only our hotel I guess."

"We only stayed here during a long layover. It was a great location and only 30 minutes from the airport. Staff was super friendly. We originally got a smoking room but were able to change it with no problem. Breakfast was good with alot of choices. Staff spoke excellent English. Room large, temperature control didn’t work so well - but small problem for us since we were only there a short time."

"I was truly impressed! The bathroom was extremely clean and separated from the shower area, and the break room had a wonderful view. Everything was perfect. Most importantly, the hostel owner was very kind. If I have the chance to come back to Ulaanbaatar, I will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to my friends. I give it a 100/10!"

"Aurora Hotel is a relatively new hotel in Ulaanbaatar, located along Peace Avenue in the western part of UB City. It is about 15mins walk to an Emart and it is also pretty easy to book a taxi/cab using UBcab mobile app to get around as visitors. I highly recommend Aurora Hotel for short visits to Ulaanbaatar, despite it's non-central location. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a decent variety and quality. Khulan Restaurant on the 2nd floor also serves good Mongolian cuisine. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served breakfast in our room during the Tsagaan Sar festival and it was a generous portion. Unfortunately during our visit, the gym and sauna were closed and we weren't able to use them."
