The hotel in the medieval old town of Kotor is exceptional just because of its location.
The rooms and especially the bathroom leave nothing to be desired.
The breakfast buffet is exceptionally rich, stocked with very high-quality food and more than lovingly prepared and put together.
The only criticism: when I asked in person, the room price was higher than the Trip.com price

"We arrived in Kotor after the wedding registration. The hotel left only positive impressions. We took a suite, and of course, it had a stunning view from the window and high room comfort. I want to highlight the worthy breakfast. There were a few 'buts' that spoiled our visit. First, it's the manager at the reception who seems unfamiliar with customer interaction standards))) It created discomfort for both me and my husband. She worked on the 26th and 27th of October. Next, in the middle of the night, the flush button broke and the water wouldn't stop flowing, depriving us of the ability to use the toilet. We contacted the reception (back to point one)) and received the response: 'There's no one available right now who can fix it. Don't press so hard next time....' At check-out, she also mentioned that such problems are not quickly resolved (it had been five hours))). I was speechless about their customer orientation))) Well, we paid €200 for the night and used the bathroom on the floor 🤯"

Hotel is centrally located. In the old town a minute walk from the entrance. Does not offer Parking nor has any preferential rate with any Parkings. Parking cost is 20 euros for 24hrs. The hotel breakfast is poor compared to other hotels and breakfast buffet is served in a small back room as if one is hiding although the hotel has a big cafe in the front. Very disappointing since breakfast buffet can be in the main restaurant. Rooms are Ok not much light. Room lacks tissue box and coffee machine

Our visa got rejected and we were not able to visit. We intimated the hotel 4 weeks in advance and they refused to give us even a partial refund. They charged us for the entire stay of 3 nights. They did not even let us change the dates for a future dat beyond 6 months. If our visa got rejected how are we supposed to visit within 6 months. You would expect better service in hospitality. Aleksandra at the reception is just so rude and would not even pass on the contact of their reservation manager or general manager.

We stayed in Dubrovnik for a week, so we took a side trip to Kotor, spending the night at Hotel Vardar. Excellent location in the main square. Our Room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Excellent quality linen on the huge bed and lovely fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast had an excellent selection of typical European cheeses, cold meats, fruits and vegetable salad, as well as a huge selection of sweet things, bakery goods and cakes. The only disappointment was the eggs, fried and poached, both were cold, not sure if the burner had gone out or that they serve them that way. No “normal” tea, just herbal and fruit flavoure Tea bags - please some English Breakfast or Earl Grey would be a very nice addition. The breakfast room is small and tight, with annoyingly noisy chairs, something that could be fixed with some caps under the chair legs. Overall a great stay. If you are coming by car from Dubrovnik park in the carpark just before the Kotor walls, two streets back on your left, then turn right into a street that accesses the carpark. This way you will park where the Hotel has its special rate. We parked opposite the walls where the cruise liners park, then had to move the car again.

Best location! This hotel is easy to find, straight through the main gates and its right in front of you. We were very impressed by the size and décor of the room, lovely fresh smell and clean. The bed was massive and very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, but hot options can be improved. The seating at the breakfast areas are tight, especially around 9:00AM when most guests show up. I finally would like to thank to hotel staff for their warm and helpful approach. And thank you for the gift you gave us at check out. Hope to see you again at Hotel Vardar!
