Holiday Inn is probably the most cost-effective hotel I have ever stayed in. The breakfast is average. Krabi is more beautiful than Phuket, and there are not as many tourists as Phuket and it is not as commercial. Recommended Mirror Lake kayaking, Emerald Pool

Hotel is very clean, staff are polite too :) The swimming pool is quite small tho, but the hotel location is very convenient, 7-11 is just walking distance.

Breakfast in this hotel is a complete disaster and the biggest disappointment is that they offer three-day-old pastries ! My recommendation is to pay only for accommodation without breakfast .

Facilities in the room is very limited, and the room not quite. I can hear kid screams and next door conversations.

I really liked the hotel, from the registration procedure to the check-out. Good location, on the main street of Aonang, not far from where the boats start, about 5-10 minutes on foot (depending on how you walk). There are many cafes, shops and massage parlors nearby. I recommend the Thailandia cafe on the opposite side of the street. Tasty preparation and good presentation. We lived on the 2nd floor, building near the pool. The room is spacious, comfortable, everything you need is there. Even an ironing board with an iron (this is a separate plus). Beautiful balcony with upholstered furniture and an amazing view of the mountain. A swimming pool is necessary in Aonang, as the sea is not particularly swimmable, and there are no problems with it at the Holiday Inn. The water is at a comfortable temperature, there is a small children's pool. Open from 7 am to 7 pm. There is a bar by the pool, and there is happy hour)), when two cocktails are for one price. The breakfasts are also excellent, there is a lot of choice, it’s difficult to stay hungry. From 6 to 11 am, which is also good, you have time to have breakfast at the hotel and leave for Railay or excursions early. The only downside we found was the slow flow of water in the shower. The family room is very suitable for two adults and two children. The only obvious disadvantage is that it is not on the beach. But after staying for two days, and comparing it with other hotels in Krabi, I feel that this hotel does have its own advantages. It has a high overall rating and can be recommended to everyone. So, let me talk about its advantages and disadvantages in detail. Let’s talk about the shortcomings first: 1. The floor space is not very large. Big and small are all compared. If we compare the hotels in the InterContinental series, the hotels in the Holiday Inn series may occupy a smaller area. Unlike other Intercontinental hotels, it will take almost half a day to carefully visit every corner of the hotel. This hotel is built on a mountain, and the rooms are scattered in different heights. Even if you just walk around, it only takes an hour. But then again, none of the hotels on Krabi's Ao Nang main street are very big, so compared to hotels of the same price range, this one's area is pretty good. After all, there are many nearby hotels that are smaller and more compact without much public space. 2. The shape of the swimming pool is relatively ordinary. Because it is not on the beach, the view of the swimming pool is very limited, and there are no green trees to shade it, so swimming during the day will be very hot. A more thoughtful design is: there will be trees around the swimming pool. Even if it is hot, there will be some green shade, making the swimming experience better. For those who particularly like concave shapes in the swimming pool, it may not be so suitable. 3. Not at the beach. There are only three or four hotels near Chu Street in Ao Nang Beach, Krabi, close to the seaside, and they are separated by a narrow pedestrian passage (there is basically no car traffic during the day). If you must choose a seaside hotel, this one is not a good choice. However, it’s not far from the Holiday Inn to the beach. Just spend it in your room or in the swimming pool during the day. Go to the beach for a walk and shopping in the evening. Let’s talk about the advantages: 1. Convenient location Just on the main street of Ao Nang Beach, it is close to the beach. It is very convenient for eating, shopping and shopping nearby. There is a 7-11 opposite. 2. The facilities inside the room are good I booked a family sea view room. Area 50 m². A large bed plus a bunk bed, the bunk bed is about 1.2 meters wide. The room pictures are very consistent with the online pictures, including the view from the balcony, which is indeed the sea view from that angle. The free drinking water provided is in glass bottles, not plastic bottles. 6 bottles are provided for three people. There are refrigerators, safes, coffee and tea, and there are plenty of them. By the way, there are toothbrushes. Several hotels did not provide toothbrushes and toothpaste before, even on the phone. Asked for it, got nothing. However, the disposable slippers were a bit rubbish, like guest house quality, and pitifully thin. There is conditioner and moisturizer (not provided by many hotels in Thailand). There is no scale. 3. Family rooms are very cost-effective for children under 12 years old. The family room can accommodate two adults and two children. If the child is under 12 years old (note that it is the imaginary age), he or she will use the bed for free. My family is 12 years old and 13 years old. We need to pay an additional 1,000 baht per day for bed, including breakfast. Yes, although I booked a family room, the hotel repeatedly told me that if I am over 12 years old, I have to pay extra. I find this very unreasonable. I can understand paying extra for breakfast, but paying extra for bed is just baffling. The room provides two large and two small pajamas, toiletries for adults and children, and a specially equipped children's toiletry bag. Children should like it because the colors are bright and the shape is cute. 4. Breakfast is good Breakfast time is 6:30-10:00 If you go early, there won't be many people. One day I went there at 8:30 and almost didn't find a seat. It seems this is peak breakfast time. Another day, I went there at 6:30, just me and another old man. The breakfast dishes are partially updated every day. I stayed for two days and basically didn't eat the same thing in the two mornings. The coffee machine is great, the foam is very dense and rich, and the cappuccino is definitely the best among the many five-star hotels I have stayed in. There are several choices of yogurt. The original flavor is the original flavor. It has no sugar and is very sour. It is suitable for those who like this kind of original flavor. There is also a dedicated vegetarian corner, suitable for vegetarians. There is also a special children's corner with a variety of foods that children like, including marshmallows, fruits dipped in chocolate sauce, French fries, chicken popcorn, waffles, and cookies. Special children's tableware is used, making it a very parent-child design. 5. The service is good and the deposit will be returned quickly. The front desk staff speak excellent English and all staff are online. I paid a 2,000 baht deposit with a credit card and it was returned the same way the day after check-out. It was not as slow as I imagined or what some people said. 6. There is a dedicated children’s club My children have no interest in this, but it is suitable for younger children and is divided into two areas: indoor and outdoor. 7. The overall public environment is acceptable The garden-style design, although the area is a bit small, still has the feeling of a small garden, with ups and downs. You can take a few photos in the hotel without running out of scenery.

Price performance not fair, staff at check-in not competent enough, Even though checkin was at 3:00 p.m. our room wasn't ready had to wait over an hour Were there for 6 days, and left the room from 9:00 a.m. and turned on the Makeup Room light, our room wasn't cleaned for 3 days, at 2/4/6 p.m., the cleaning of the room wasn't intensive either, so it was bad . Many children jumped into the water at the pool, so we slipped. Cigarettes were smoked at the pool even though there were signs everywhere, the hotel guests went into the pool without showering, it's a shame that none of the employees made the guests aware of this. The worst thing was that we couldn't sleep for 6 days because of very loud music (over 100 dsbl) from the hotel's bar until midnight. The only positive thing we noticed was the nice, friendly staff, which is the case everywhere in Thailand. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel.
