Location was great, right next to shinshigai street, there was a public spa and sauna complimentary for guests to use. The pyjamas top was also quite comfortable to wear. Disposable toiletries available for pickup at the recep area, this includes tea. However, no coffee was available which was kinda shocking to me as this was a first I encountered in all the hotels I have stayed at. The air con or ventilation vent also requires deep deep cleaning, I had the sniffles after staying there and the air conditioning seems warm even after adjusting it to the lowest. I realised why after seeing the vent. The room feels slightly smaller than other similar sizes room that I have booked during my travels in Kyushu region.

Great stay, easy walk from the tram/bus station and many food options within the area. Room was spacious and clean!

Location of this hotel is good with close distance to nearby shopping malls and Kumamoto Castle. General cleanliness of the room is good except that the air filter of the inner ventilation system needs “deep” cleaning. Services of staff are good and I highly recommend for all of you looking for a value-for-money hotel in Kumamoto city centre.

This hotel is amazing! I stay with my family and the place is just spotless. Loved the large bathroom two sinks available! Dont get me started with the outdoor onsen and that was fantastic after a long day of driving. Breakfast is great and the place is within walking distance to the shopping centers, we end up having dinner at the Kumamoto Food stall. Cosy place, nice beds, Netflix and YouTube available on the TV, coffee and tea and free amenities for guest to enjoy.

First time staying at Candeo and pleasantly surprised for how good it is! Onsen is very well maintained. Beautiful rooms and lobby. Breakfast is good although limited variety.

The room for 4 is spacious. Love the location of this hotel. Near the whole stretch of shops at Shinshigai. It is also very Sakara machi shopping mall. The skyspa OSEN is so awesome. Nice view and exclusive!

We booked a four bedroom. Layout is thoughtfully designed with separated toilet and cleaning areas for family. Room is clean and new. Excellent location with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The only thing to be mindful is the spa and breakfast can be very busy. Highly recommended for this hotel.

Location is excellent. Spa is good. No frill hotel. Spacious room recommended for families. Check in is at top floor together with the Spa. Like any typical hotel in Japan, staff ability to converse in English is limited. However they are friendly and ready to help.

Had three separate bookings for our family of 7. Very happy that the hotel was able to accommodate our request to have all of us in one floor. Room was spacious, bright and clean. Hotel was near lots of food places, convenient stores and shopping areas. Hotel has spa and sauna at the 12th floor. Overall, it was great!
