I'd give this hotel 10 stars if I could! On the day before our check in, the staff reached out to us to ensure we would have no problems. It was easy to connect with the hotel on wechat and their responses are very prompt.
The setting of the hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are exactly as pictured. The hotel staff was very kind to give us a room upgrade. The facilities are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The room provided everything you could need. The room came with many activities that we could enjoy as well, which included a calligraphy experience, hanfu costume experience and tea experience. Regrettably, we did not get to take part in these as we had other plans, but this was a nice bonus. I do not have pictures of the room but I have attached images of the amazing breakfast I had here. The breakfast options were plentiful and they even check in with you the day before on what you would like to have, so that you do not have to wait long when you have breakfast the next day. The afternoon tea was also a delicious selection of snacks. The hotel also offers goodnight dessert every night which was again, super yummy.
Finally, I want to commend the service of this hotel. They gave us such a warm welcome from the moment we entered and were always attentive to our needs. I didn't get the names of the staff who served us specifically, but all of them were 10/10! I highly recommend this hotel. One thing to note, there are no lifts so if accessibility is an issue, do check with the hotel! They have rooms on the first floor too.

Our stay in the Moon Shine Courtyard hotel in Kunming was fantastic. The awards as best traditional hotel in the city center do not disappoint. The building is beautiful, the room was absolutely perfect, breakfast delicious, and the staff of the hotel were extremely helpful and kind.
If you have time while visiting the city, they offer all type of activities to enjoy the local culture (calligraphy, afternoon tea…) that will make your stay even more special.
We can only recommend this hotel as it was a perfect choice for our stay in Kunming. Will stay here again if we come backe 😊
PS: Special mention for the 5star service of the front desk staff escorting us to the taxi under the rain carrying an umbrella during our checkout. Details like this do make the difference 👌

We had an excellent stay. Room was clean, service excellent and food was good. Amenoties were beyond expectations... 15 min walk to pedestrian street and old street... Could be made better with a bide in the toilet 🤭...
Very thoughtful hotel... highly recommended 👍

Fantastic stay here, highly recommended. Room is clean n quite spacious. Location is nearby to pedestrians street and lots of eateries around. Staffs is the best. Shout out to Xiaoli and Li Ling who goes out all the ways to help us. Breakfast is delicious and there’s also foot bath at night.

I’ve loved my stop at this hotel! It’s absolutely beautiful and my room was very clean and comfy. The staff is also very polite and patiente, event though I do not speak fluent Mandarin.
It’s also quite central, near the train station, and easy to walk around Kunming city center all the way to the Jade Lake Park.
200% recommend for your trip in Kunming!

Amazing hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Provides calligraphy, tea and costumes for photo taking and experience. Rooms were upgraded for us. Really appreciate their kindness.

This hotel was just epic; the front office staff are so polite and friendly. We reached late, and no dinner places were open, but they helped us order and even eat in the courtyard. The hotel is beautiful, very well done. Kudos to the whole team. Room was very good as well super clean and all important things were there.
