Kunming Wuhua District 5-star Hotels

The hotel is really clean despite a bit old. The breakfast is varied and very delicious. There is also park beside the hotel you can walk in the morning.

Truly wonderful hotel!  It is situated just across the road from Green Lake, which never ceases to inspire as you wander around the lakes and watch the wildlife.  The hotel staff are superb, genuinely wanting to do everything they can to ensure a happy stay.  I was particularly impressed when, in response to an electrical problem at 10.30pm, the maintenance man was accompanied by a female English speaker - therefore putting me completely at ease.  The food has an excellent Western choice, as well as Chinese.  Anyone visiting Kunming would be foolish to stay anywhere else!!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, which set a positive tone for our stay. Special thanks to Sam the butler and another gentle an who was very helpful and attentive. Another gentleman, possibly the manager, was also very polite and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. The hotel lobby is spacious and smells great, creating a pleasant first impression. Our room was comfortable, with decent pillows and mattress. It also had various small items provided, but some had unclear functions—adding a bilingual guide would be very helpful for foreign guests. Housekeeping was quick and responsive. When we had an issue and called for help, we couldn’t speak Chinese, but someone came directly to our door to understand what we needed—this effort was very much appreciated. One area for improvement: the lady at the front desk when we checked in on 30 Apr should improve her customer service skills, especially when assisting international guests. Overall, a pleasant and welcoming stay with helpful staff and a few areas that could make the experience even better.

Great hotel in an unbeatable location. Within walking distance to many shops and eating places. The room is very clean and the beddings are super comfortable! We had a very good night’s sleep! Must commend hotel staff, Justin, who helped to check us in. Our room was a junior suite which only had one king size bed. He quickly arranged for housekeeping to set up a comfortable sleeping area in the sitting room for a third adult. He also helped to arrange complimentary breakfast for us. Will stay here again the next time back in Kunming.

Every stay has been improved, and it is still the duty manager Ms. Zhang Jingwen who coordinates from check-in to check-out, which is very considerate. The room facilities are complete, the air conditioning has a high heating speed, the shower fills quickly, the service response is very timely, the drinks in the refrigerator are relatively rich, and the bedside is equipped with a USB cable for guests to use free of charge. There are a few small suggestions for service. When delivering fruits into the room, you can simply tidy up the guest's room with the consent of the guest, such as: tidying up slippers, tidying up beds, tidying up towels, etc. (only suggestions). Kunming has a dry climate, and the room is very dry after using air conditioning. See if you can prompt whether a humidifier is needed according to the guest's situation.

Hotel room is big and clean for family of 4. 2 Adults and 2 kids. Service is responsive and efficient. Breakfast spread is awesome especially the Yunnan specialty dough stick dip. Staff was helpful and polite. Near Kunming railway station.

The service is meticulous and the environment is comfortable. I will come again next time! The location of the hotel is very convenient. It only takes 26 minutes to walk from the subway station. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around, which makes traveling and playing very worry-free. The front desk service attitude is particularly good~ I took the initiative to help upgrade the room type and introduced the surrounding guide in detail. The room aunt cleaned very cleanly and replenished mineral water every day, which was very considerate. The room is more spacious than expected, the bedding is soft, the hygiene is perfect, the sound insulation effect is also very good, I slept very well at night, the Wi-Fi speed is fast, and the office and entertainment are very smooth. The hotel facilities are very new, the gym and restaurant experience are great, the breakfast variety is rich, especially the Yunnan cross-bridge rice noodles, the taste is superb! It is really worth it to live in such a quality at this price. It is suitable for both business trips and vacations. I will choose here next time.

Warm Welcome After a Long Night – Great First Stay in Kunming We arrived in Kunming early in the morning after an overnight flight from Singapore, feeling exhausted from the lack of sleep on the plane. Upon reaching the hotel, we asked the front desk if early check-in was possible, even offering to pay a little extra for the convenience. To our surprise and delight, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early at no extra charge. Their friendly attitude and understanding of our situation made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. This thoughtful service gave us a great first impression of both the hotel and the city. We were able to rest and recharge before heading out to explore Kunming. Truly appreciated the hospitality it set the tone for a wonderful trip. Highly recommended for their warm service and professionalism!

JinLangYuan Hotel is a very nice hotel. Hotel is very clean and centrally located. The hotel looks modern, with just one calling ”siao tu, siao tu”, you can commend to open aircon, tv, blinds and lights. Rooms are big with complete amenities. Breakfast is sufficient with variety to choose from salad, congee, noodles, sandwich, pastries that comes with coffee and tea. Hotel personels are quick to respond to our requests with smile. Lots of eateries and stores just outside the hotel. JL hotel is just across the NANpING pedestrian street, where one can shop, dine and do other activities, very accessible to transportation. Will surely stay in this hotel when in Kunming.

Very clean and comfortable rooms at a central location and surrounded with fairly local shops and within walking distance of the large shopping mall. I think services and facilities are good enough, but not yet top notched. However given the price point and location, everything is satisfactory and am happy to recommend this place to anyone who want to stay within this area.
