Overall Impression Our stay provided a generally pleasant experience, highlighted by the generous hospitality of the team and an exceptionally convenient location. While a few aspects of the room ambiance could be slightly enhanced, the property offers wonderful convenience for travelers exploring the area. Service & Hospitality The hotel staff were exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay. Upon our arrival, the team thoughtfully offered us a complimentary room upgrade to accommodations with windows. Furthermore, when we requested a late check-out, the staff graciously facilitated our request without any hesitation, which made our departure delightfully stress-free. Room & Amenities The room was impressively spacious, impeccably clean, and maintained to a very neat standard. The amenities provided met all our practical needs for a comfortable stay. While the room leaned towards a somewhat dim atmosphere—partly because the windows were either tinted or positioned facing an adjacent wall—the overall cleanliness and generous layout made for a restful retreat. Location & Accessibility The property truly shines in its location. It fully delivers on its promise of proximity to major local attractions and is just a short stroll away from the Nanping Pedestrian Street, making daily sight-seeing and dining remarkably effortless

Absolutely fantastic! It's right in the city center, within walking distance to Cuihu Lake and the pedestrian street. The service is excellent, from the front desk to all other staff, everyone is smiling, helpful, and accommodating. There are tons of restaurants and malls nearby, which is incredibly convenient! The breakfast spread is rich and varied. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time. There can be a bit of noise at night, with people singing on the pedestrian street below until 9 PM, which isn't ideal, but it's a minor flaw that doesn't detract from the overall experience.

Overall, the service was good and the staff were helpful. The bed was also comfortable and everything was fine during our stay. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom design. There is no proper barrier between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom, so the floor gets very wet after showering. I actually slipped and fell once because of the wet floor, so I think this is something the hotel should improve for guests’ safety. On the positive side, the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, so it’s very convenient and close to many places. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very easy to find halal food as there are plenty of halal restaurants around the area. One thing to note is that DiDi usually drops passengers at Four Seasons, and from there you need to walk around 200 metres to reach the hotel. Not a big issue, but good to know in advance. Overall, the location is excellent and very convenient, but I hope the hotel can improve the bathroom design to make it safer for guests.

The location is fantastic, right downstairs are the pedestrian street and Kunming Old Street, making dining incredibly convenient. The service attitude was excellent. As I have sleep issues, and had read reviews mentioning average soundproofing, I specifically asked the front desk staff for a quiet room. I was initially worried about noise from neighboring guests, but it was perfectly quiet for both nights, not a sound at all, allowing me to sleep comfortably. What truly stands out is the hotel breakfast; it has everything from bread, tofu pudding, and 'xiaoguo mixian' (small pot rice noodles) to fruits and bacon. After a delicious breakfast, we were refreshed and ready to explore. All in all, choosing Atour really enhanced our Yunnan trip.

The hotel environment is really nice. It’s in the middle of the city Center. The room is decorated in a minimal style. I book a room with a bathtub. The room vibe is very nice and romantic with a projector giant one. The hotel facility is so good. There is a wash machine laundry room. They have all the stuff you need at the Lobby🫶🏻. Anything you wanna think of anything you wanna use in life they even have life face cleansing tape anything you need and they have the small robot for sending your food delivery. Also, I recommended this hotel and I would come again in the future for sure.

First time in Kunming, I ended up choosing the well-established Grand Park Hotel. The overall decor has a very Hong Kong feel to it. The room wasn't huge, and the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but it was very clean and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to Michael! The absolute best part was the breakfast – it was truly outstanding and definitely worth coming for on its own. It was clean and hygienic, with a wide variety of high-quality options. There weren't many traditional stir-fries, leaning more towards Western choices. The roasted chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The homemade yogurt was also a highlight. The hotel's location is also excellent; you can see Green Lake Park from your room, and there are tons of tourist spots nearby. The little streets nearby are great for exploring. All in all, I highly recommend it; it's fantastic value for money!

I ended up extending my stay for another night immediately after the first one. (Personally, I think the 8-bed dorm is even better than the 6-bed one – in the 8-bed, six people are separated from four, giving you a bit more space. The 6-bed dorm by the window has a smoking and chat area right below it at night.) The location is excellent; it's just across the street from Cuihu Park, a quick walk across the road and down some steps. It's also within walking distance of the subway station, and the area isn't noisy. The morning sunlight is lovely when you wake up. The front desk staff are very attentive; they helped me with my luggage and guided me upstairs. The online customer service was also very responsive. The cleaning aunties were responsible and thoughtful. You use a card to enter, and there are lockers above where you can put things. Inside the drawers, there are bath towels, water, and a care kit (which even included fringe stickers!). There are also disinfected slippers. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding, lights, and charging ports were all high-quality standard, plus there's a small bedside table. The bathroom wasn't crowded, and the toilet was convenient and clean. There's also a laundry area, but with limited hours. The restaurant bar on the second floor has a great vibe. The corridor has swings and tables and chairs where you can sunbathe and have tea in the morning, or enjoy the breeze and chat at night. There were quite a few foreign friends there. Looking at the guestbook, the postcards downstairs, the message board, and the daily activity posters, it really feels like one of those rare places with genuine human care from a few years ago – or at least, it matches my impression of what a Yunnan youth hostel atmosphere should be! If you need to book, it's best to do it in advance, as this place is quite popular, haha. Oh, and I highly recommend the Caoya Rice Noodles shop right across the street; I thought they were delicious!

Staying at 'The Cat's Horizon' hotel for my trip was an excellent choice! The natural wood design and warm lighting create a very relaxing atmosphere. It's right in the city center, just a few minutes' walk to Kunming Old Street, Nanping Pedestrian Street, and Xiangyun Food City. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The best part was their zero-pressure mattress – it really was incredibly comfortable for sleeping. It was fantastic to grab some snacks and just chat together. Highly recommended, 10 out of 10!

Initially, I was hesitant when I saw that the smallest dorm was an 8-bed room, as I'm used to at least 6-bed rooms in China. However, my actual stay was excellent. Thankfully, during my one-night stay, none of the eight people snored like a freight train. I've encountered 'tractors' before and couldn't sleep a wink, which was miserable. The decor of this place is really good, even better than their pictures suggest. The photos looked a bit too 'Lijiang' for my taste, which made me distrustful and imagine the interior would be messy, but it was actually very nice. Among all the hostels I've stayed in, this one easily makes my top list! They have a free-to-use ping-pong table and a pool table in the courtyard, which is super cool. This stay far exceeded my expectations! Very nice!

Traveling to Kunming with my parents and child, we chose the Orange Crystal Hotel on Nanping Road. It was a perfect choice! Right downstairs, you're in the middle of a shopping district, and it's just a 10-15 minute walk to Green Lake and the old town. The room's soundproofing was excellent, the bedding was clean and super comfortable, and the breakfast spread was rich – both my parents and my child loved it! The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were so warm and helpful. They not only granted us a late checkout but also thoughtfully sent us recommendations for local food and attractions. This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit Kunming.
