"This time I came to Kunming by train and chose the Holiday Inn Express very close to the North Exit. The location is incredibly convenient; you don't have to rush for high-speed trains or regular trains, saving you the hassle of traveling back and forth. The hotel is new, the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and hot water came quickly. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in/check-out was very efficient. They also responded promptly to any issues. The breakfast selection was comprehensive, including some local simple dishes, perfect for fueling up before heading out to explore. The whole place was quiet, not noisy at all, making it suitable for business trips or as a stopover during travel. As an international chain brand, the quality is reliable and the price is fair. If you want a hassle-free trip, this is a great choice. I'll prioritize staying here again next time I visit Kunming. Highly recommended!"

"They upgraded us to a family twin room! The double-layered soundproof windows were amazing, we couldn't hear any airport noise at all, which made sleeping with the baby incredibly peaceful. The front desk staff, Ms. Xu, Ms. Nuo, and Ms. Tong, were also super patient in helping us confirm our airport shuttle time. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and not at all cramped. My child immediately fell in love with the Little Yellow Duck cartoon bedding. It came equipped with a 65-inch smart TV that could mirror screens and smart curtains – truly well-equipped! It's the perfect place to stay if you're catching a flight, and the airport pick-up/drop-off service was also a thoughtful touch!"

"Facilities: A bit old, but generally pretty good. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The duvet is fine with the AC on, but it can get a bit warm without it, given Kunming's large temperature variations. There's a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, but apparently it's not usable. It's very photogenic though! The living room and bedroom are separate, which is great for families or multiple families staying together as you can chat comfortably. There are also seating areas in the room corridors where you can relax and talk. Being inside the scenic area, the courtyard rooms are quiet. Other room types might be a bit noisier. At midday, it can feel quite bustling outside with traffic and vendors calling out. The courtyard suites, however, are not noisy at all. The location is in the Jinbi area, not far from Nanping Old Street. Just cross a road and walk through Nanping Hui, and you're in a commercial area. For food and drinks, there are snacks right downstairs, though not many main courses. I think the options across the street are better. The hotel breakfast is à la carte and needs to be ordered a day in advance. We tried it one day, but after that, we opted for takeout or ate out. The hotel service is quite good. They have a butler service, and the staff's attitude is very pleasant. When we had a delay, they helped us coordinate a later checkout. For transport, since it's within the scenic area, you'll probably need to walk a bit after getting off the car. However, you can also have your car drive to the parking lot, and there's an elevator near the exit that takes you up."

It was genuinely comfortable; the mattress was just the right firmness, and the pillows weren't flat. I was out like a light as soon as I lay down, even though I'm usually a light sleeper, I slept straight through till morning. The bedding felt clean, not damp or musty, and had no strange odors, which I really appreciate. I'm quite particular about cleanliness, but when I walked into the room, the floors and surfaces were spotless, and there were no water stains in the bathroom. The disposable toiletries were a reassuring touch. The service attitude deserves praise. The front desk lady was always smiling. When I asked for directions, she even helped me plan the route on my phone – she wasn't just giving perfunctory answers. I called the front desk once during my stay to request an extra set of toiletries, and they were delivered very quickly. The location is also great, right on Guangfu Road. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's convenient for subway travel – not one of those hotels so remote you need a 30-minute taxi ride. Overall, my stay can be summed up in one word: excellent."

"I saw the high ratings for this guesthouse online, so I decided to book it just to see, and as soon as I arrived, I knew I'd made the right choice! 🥰 The room and environment were exactly as pictured online. The owner and their family were all very kind, and the courtyard was beautifully maintained and spotless. Every picture I took turned out lovely. Stepping in, you immediately feel a refreshing vibe. The breakfast was amazing – a great variety, delicious, and even delivered to the room, which was just perfect! The location is also fantastic. There's a small gate next to the guesthouse that leads right to a food street. It's just a two or three-minute walk to Haigeng Dam, so it was lovely to stroll there after dinner 🐶. "Yet another amazing experience with Moonlight. If you are a culture lover like I am, this hotel is the perfect choice. This place is a total vibe and I'm more than happy to explain why. The air in the lobby is filled with the fragrance of freshly brewed Pu Er, with a tea station offering free tea tasting to guests. The hotel serves scrumptious local cuisine for breakfast such as the bridge noodles, sour soup noodles, and congee. They make it fresh when you are seated at the dining area. The best part is that the breakfast is available until 1pm. So thoughtful for those who wants to sleep in. They also offer Western and Kid options. As you walk out of the lobby, there is so much to take in. The first thing you'll see is an ancient building that takes you back in time. A group of elderly playing Chinese Chess by the tree. People walking their very well mannered fluffy dogs. All while breathing in the fresh summer air. The location of this hotel is amazing. It's walking distance to Shun Cheng shopping mall, cafes that serve very decent Americano are just across the road, and there's a highly rated restaurant on the same street. In the afternoon, the hotel hosts an art and craft activity. Ours was decorating a Chinese fan, absolutely therapeutic. Experiences aside, the stay itself has been so comfortable. Spacious room, big beds, blackout curtains, you can imagine how well we slept. 10 out of 10!"
