"Room is clean, amenities is ok. We requested for non-smoking room but was given a room with very heavy cigarette smell and had to request for change of room. Window and curtain soundproofing are not good enough. Breakfast selection is ok"

"I really liked the hotel's design, and the cleanliness and service were also great. The only surprise was that I thought it was within walking distance from the train station, but it actually took over ten minutes. If you have a large suitcase, you'll definitely need a taxi, like I did.
However, I still highly recommend this hotel because their breakfast is absolutely amazing. The variety is richer than any 4-star or quasi-4-star hotel I've ever stayed in. Even though I'm not a breakfast person, I set an alarm to make sure I went. It's absolutely fantastic value for money!"

GGuest UserI booked a premium room, the second-highest tier, directly with cash. This room type is essentially a one-bedroom apartment, with a well-designed flow and reasonable space division, almost on par with basic suites in many cities. If you prefer a more open layout, you could opt for the Studio version, which is also categorized as a premium room – it's more about a difference in style than a hard upgrade.
From a hardware perspective, the overall quality is well up to Grand Hyatt standards: ample space, a design that's classic yet not outdated. In the Kunming market, it's definitely considered a relatively mature and comfortable option.
The service was a major plus this time. Within Yunnan, the overall service here is quite refined. They even proactively reached out for pre-arrival communication for my Ctrip booking, and I'd like to thank Bianca for her assistance.

LliathanongA relatively new hotel. Perfect for a overnight stay for people rushing to the high speed the next morning. Room was big and comfortable.
We booked for the non smoking level but there is an ashtray on the living room table and u can smell cigarette smoke along corridor. Really wished this country makes more effort in advocating for non smoking despite signs beinf put up.
We managed to search for a little night market, Shilin night market about 10 mins taxi ride away from the hotel. Maybe hotel can provide more information about places around for tourists.
It is also a short walking distance to the metro which is linked to high speed as well.
Managed to book the free pick up from high speed to hotel however the next day's hotel to high speed is already fully booked. We also didn't managed to have breakfast due to timing of our high speed.

GGuest UserHello everyone. We stayed at this hotel at the end of November 2024. Initially, we booked the hotel for 5 days, then we extended, extended and in the end, we stayed there for 11 nights. The hotel is new, clean. The rooms have good quality robes, toiletries. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts. We were pleased with the availability of freshly squeezed juices. The main staff does not speak English, but this is not a problem, since the on-line translator saves us, and the staff tries very hard to understand what you want from them. The only person who speaks excellent English was the manager Sam. A man passionate about his work. He told us a lot about the hotel and what is nearby. And there is a lot there: a park with playgrounds, a bungee jump, and a birdhouse with parrots. Sam showed us a place next to the hotel, which is a set for films. Boat station, where you can take a boat and take a walk on the lake and go straight to the hotel grounds. The hotel itself is in a great location, in a lowland, on the shore of the lake. If you plan a trip to Kunming, then it is far from the city. But we needed a quiet and beautiful place. And we got it. With the window open in the evenings and mornings you can hear the fish splashing in the lake and the ducks quacking. It was great to sleep, as the mattress and pillows are of excellent quality. We will definitely come back here and will recommend it to our friends.
P.S. Once again, we say a huge thank you to Sam, he not only told and showed us a lot about the hotel and the surrounding area, he also helped us solve some issues with our luggage at the airport. A wonderful, responsive person. The hotel management is very lucky to have such a person on their team.

DDannijiangHuge thanks to the front desk staff for upgrading us to a private hot spring room! This is a beautiful resort hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable with clear, bright views. The bedding was excellent, and the hot spring was incredibly relaxing. Every step offers a new scenic view, and the lush gardens are perfect for photos. The facilities are extensive and fantastic, including the spa, pool, hot springs, and breakfast. The staff provided thoughtful and attentive service. The lobby bar is lovely, and the afternoon tea latte was very good. It's truly an ideal hotel for a relaxing getaway.

__WeChat253957****My family loved the hotel. It was spacious with a courtyard, a lake, and fish. The gym was large and well-equipped with a wide variety of equipment. There were two heated swimming pools, which were cleaned every night. The hot spring water next to the pools was also drained and replaced with fresh water the next day. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and the hot spring water was drawn from underground. The whole hotel was a recreational attraction. We originally only booked one night, but we were so relaxed and comfortable at the hotel that we extended our stay for another day. When my child got wet, the staff even kindly took them to dry.

The service is excellent, and the breakfast is great, especially the coffee. The hot spring pools are a real highlight, with over 20 outdoor pools, all clearly marked with their water temperature. Surrounded by tropical plants like coconut and palm trees, it's incredibly relaxing to soak in the sun. The hotel also offers dedicated butler service, which is very attentive.

It's not far from the attractions, and even though it's on a main road, it's not noisy at night. The laundry service is great; the attendant was very helpful. SSiwangxier11We stayed at Sofitel Kunming for the last two nights of our 9-day trip to Yunnan with our child. The lobby is very grand, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, with super flaky croissants and a variety of local Yunnan delicacies. The room's cleanliness was top-notch, and the bed was very comfortable; they even provided extra pillows upon request. The grapes in the welcome fruit basket on the first day were delicious. When we asked for more for our child, they were promptly delivered. On the second evening, when our child wanted hot milk, that was also provided. Upon check-in, they proactively asked if we needed children's toiletries and slippers, which were of good quality and much loved by our little one. The hotel's location is also very convenient. We had a trip to Dounan Flower Market; after a taxi ride where our child got carsick, we opted for the subway for the return journey, which was also very convenient. Since our flight was in the afternoon on the second day, they kindly assisted us with a late check-out. The service was very thoughtful and warm. A front desk staff member, Mia, was very lovely and gentle, providing us with proactive service. Thank you!

QQQinnyThis is my umpteenth time here, and it's consistently excellent, as always. Both the service and the room environment are top-notch, no complaints at all. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday. Coming here right before Chinese New Year was a fantastic experience. The in-room dining was also great, with good portions and delicious food. The breakfast restaurant staff were all very friendly. Overall, the service staff were wonderful. They even upgraded my room!
Minibar drinks: Excellent and plentiful. Hope it stays this way.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.
