GGuest UserThis hotel is incredibly well-designed, highly recommended for those who love leisurely hotel getaways. The pillows are super comfortable, and the rest of the bedding is excellent. The shower head delivers a gentle, dense spray. Breakfast is served until 1 PM! They also offer complimentary afternoon tea and a late-night snack. While the breakfast selection is slightly smaller than a typical five-star hotel, it's very well-balanced and nutritious. The food is exceptionally fresh. The landscape design is absolutely stunning; every photo you take here will be a masterpiece. The location is very close to Erhai Wetland Park, and the convention center entrance boasts beautiful jacaranda trees, much denser than those found on regular streets. You absolutely MUST visit the observation deck – I can't stress that enough! Finally, they even gave us a small gift when we checked out. I'll definitely consider Pam & Pure again when I come back to Kunming!

LLijuan  ♪(^∇^*) This was my second stay, and the hotel is fantastic. The overall service is great. I really like the Wild View room type; the design is excellent, with everything you could possibly need. The cleanliness is also top-notch. The hotel is right by the lake, offering fantastic views. The forest by the lake is like a huge natural oxygen bar, and there's also a large lawn. The hotel restaurant is superb; breakfast is very rich and delicious, and the regular meals are good too. It's also a great choice for families, with craft activities for kids. My only regret is that I haven't had a chance to experience the spa on either visit, but I'll definitely try it next time.

On both occasions, the staff kindly upgraded our room due to availability, which was a really pleasant surprise. We ended up with larger rooms that were even more comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. The room was clean and very comfortable, making the overall stay very relaxing. I also appreciated that the room looked almost exactly like the photos shown on the Trip.com website—no unpleasant surprises at all. What stood out the most was the staff. They were consistently friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. Would definitely return again!

GGuest UserNovotel, part of the French Accor Group, is a mid-to-upscale business and leisure hotel chain. I've stayed at them abroad before, and they always offer guests a balanced, relaxing experience. In China, they're operated by Huazhu Hotels Group. Choosing the Novotel on Dianchi Road this time was a smart move. **Butler Service:** After booking, a butler (mine was Lucky) called me in advance to provide hotel service and facility information via WeChat. They even sent a PPT with a local travel guide, so guests can be well-informed before check-in. **Location:** The hotel is near Nanya Fengqing First City and Aegean Shopping Park. There are plenty of restaurants on two nearby streets, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's in a quiet spot yet close to everything. Fuhai Station on Metro Line 5 is just a few hundred meters away, making it easy to visit attractions. **Room & Cleanliness:** The twin room was a decent size with wide beds that were medium-firm. There were two pillows – one for support and one for sleeping. Personally, I found the pillows a bit too soft. All the linen was very clean, and the hairdryer was a Dyson. The room was thoroughly cleaned, with no missed spots. **Gym:** Located on the 20th floor, I was very satisfied. It's on two levels and well-equipped. Working out with a night view from a high floor was a real treat. **Swimming Pool:** Also on the 20th floor, it's 20 meters long and 1.2 meters deep. I checked it out but didn't have time for a swim. During the day, the floor-to-ceiling windows by the pool let in plenty of sunshine. **Laundry Room:** There are 2 dryers and 2 washing machines. I used them once. I imagine it might get busy and require waiting during peak season. **Breakfast:** You can sample local specialties like Yunnan rice noodles, Ersi (rice cakes), Miggan (rice sheets), and Qiguoji (steam pot chicken soup). The breakfast spread was comprehensive, but the croissants and Western pastries were of average quality. **Special Drinks:** As a Huazhu Hotels member, I received a voucher for a special coffee drink at the lobby bar, and a fruit platter was sent to my room. **Service:** The lobby staff were quite enthusiastic and answered all my questions in detail. Upon check-out, I even received a thoughtful small gift box. **Suggestions:** 1. There was only one small trash can in the room. There were no trash cans near the sink area, which was quite inconvenient. 2. The shower room uses anti-slip tiles, but adding an anti-slip mat would make it even safer.

Upon arrival, we were impressed by the hotel's luxurious and grand appearance, both inside and out. The environment, cleanliness, and facilities were excellent. The staff were proactive and welcoming, helping us with our luggage. Our room was lavish and spacious, impeccably clean, and well-stocked with all the essential toiletries and amenities. The breakfast offered a wide and delicious variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. The hotel's location right next to Wanda Plaza is incredibly convenient for visiting all of Kunming's attractions. We, as seniors, thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay at Wanda Vista Kunming, finding great satisfaction in the dining, accommodation, and transportation aspects. The hotel staff and the service personnel were truly outstanding!

DDiana AldereiWe recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed. First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs. The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options. A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests. A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level. Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.

The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful sleep for the kids. The hotel thoughtfully provided children's toiletries, and Suri was incredibly warm, attentive, and responsive. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the French chic style was very elegant. It's truly family-friendly with a rich breakfast selection, making travel with kids super easy and worry-free. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserVisited Kunming with the kids during the May Day holiday and chose the Shangri-La Jen Hotel, which has a great location. The room was a bit small, but perfectly adequate. The pool and gym facilities were quite good. Remy, Sally, and Grace at the front desk all provided excellent service. The breakfast was delicious, and the Chinese restaurant was also very good. Even though the weather in Kunming was a bit chilly this time, we definitely felt the hotel's warm service!

XXiaotongjoziAn older hotel, a bit outdated in terms of decor, but on the plus side, you don't have to worry about any renovation smells. Back in its day, the hotel quality was definitely top-notch. The location is excellent, right in a prime area. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. What really stood out was the fantastic service. Gin was very patient and arranged the room according to my requests, and even gave me recommendations for the surrounding area. Highly recommended!
