"The boss is very meticulous, and the items purchased are very convenient for people on the journey. There are storage baskets and clothes hanging areas in the room. There are lockers for storage items. There are shared full-length mirrors, paper towels, water dispensers, rest areas in the public area... Everyone is also better to maintain the environment. As a youth hostel, it provides a lot of care."

GGuest User- The most surprising thing about this trip was staying in this youth hostel! The location is great, close to various attractions, and it is very convenient to travel. As soon as you enter the door, the clean and tidy environment makes you feel twice as good, the beds are comfortable, and the public areas are warm. The boss is warm and hospitable. Not only did he help plan the route, but he also met many like-minded friends. Here, not only did I have a comfortable place to stay, but I also gained a super unforgettable travel memory. I will stay here again next time I come here!

AAmy HannahI stayed in a private room here and it was great.
The room was quiet, clean & comfy.
Special mention goes to the AMAZING view out the window as the hostel is on the 23rd floor! And the private room has a terrace/balcony thing.
The communal area was very spacious and lots of desk space and sofas and stuff. Washing facilities too but I didn't use them! There is a refillable drinking water station - hot and cold water.
Great location - 10 minute walk to the very bustling street food market! About a ten minute walk to the nearest metro station.
My only gripe was the bathrooms - or lack thereof. There were only 2 bathrooms which were shower/toilet combos, which for a pretty well attended hostel means a fair bit of waiting around to use them. You have to be tactical about when you go! And because they were communal they weren't super clean, but I guess that is to be expected - just something to be aware of if you're squeamish. There's plenty of slippers to be had (in fact, outdoor shoes aren't allowed in the hostel at all!)

GGuest UserThe apartment is very clean, it's been cleaned every day. Bed is comfortable and bedroom is quiet. Living room is beautiful. The owner is friendly, helpful and hard working woman. Location is near railway station and there is a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. Thank you for hosting me!

MM53377****Ideal for families with children. The environment is beautiful and quiet, with dazzling lights at night. It's surrounded by folk villages, and it's convenient to feed seagulls at Haigeng Dam. I'll definitely come back next time. The little girl downstairs is very helpful and kind!

GGuest UserLocation was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me.
Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it.
The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. Would come back to this Hostel again if I happen to have to come back to Kunming again where I needed to be near this train station to catch at train there.

GGuest UserThis hostel is really great and the boss is good. I highly recommend everyone especially foreigners to make contact with the boss prior to arriving so you don’t get lost like me🤣🤣. I called the boss via trip.com app, and he replied to me straight away. He is very good at responding and quickly helped me. The hostel is thoroughly cleaned and has a kitchen. The location is great. The boss also recommended me some places I can visit in Kunming.

MMingyuA hotel with a very folk-style environment, it is relatively clean in a village, and behind it is the folk customs. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the village to Dianchi Lake. The whole feeling is surrounded by strong ethnic culture. It is a good travel experience. It is also close to eating, and there are more famous ethnic restaurants nearby.

In terms of the environment, it is very, very, very clean. There are volunteers cleaning every day. The boss said that the volunteers are very good in all aspects. Clean carefully. The bathroom is also very clean, white and bright with no peculiar smell! The roommates I met are all very friendly and quality people! When I traveled to Kunming this time, I felt a lot of goodwill and enthusiasm, and I ate a lot of delicious food. I want to cry when I think about leaving here and going back to a food desert. It’s so comfortable that I don’t even want to leave here! Thank you very much to the boss for giving me a particularly good experience of staying in a hostel! I’ll come back next time!

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel was extremely convenient. The most important thing for a hotel is cleanliness, and this hotel is very tidy with incredibly affordable prices. The owner (the lady boss), along with her mother and son, were extremely kind—they helped with everything, provided pick-up and drop-off services, and made the trip very smooth. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and the owner treated me like family. I’m truly grateful! If I visit Kunming again, I’ll definitely stay here once more.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here only around three hours while waiting for 7am train. I would say if you are a budgeted travelers and don’t mind the bathroom only covered with curtains and no doors toilet, then this is the perfect place for you. Very near Kunming Train Station, like four to five minutes walk from motel. Check in was easy.
