I actually liked this place due to its location and a better than expected bed. The room while small was not bad. I felt like it was a cozy place for me. Good bed. I really had no complains.

Enjoyed staying in Gymmond , it has it’s own old school vibe. Super clean, neat, cozy room. Helpful staff on the reception and a perfect location-3 minutes till and subway station and 10-15 minutes walk till the down town and the shopping/restaurant streets. Super recommend!!!

Very good and comfortable hotel! Breakfast was in western style. Tasty, but very small.

The service was excellent, though hotels in Japan are, as always, quite compact.

Despite the room's small size, it was well-equipped, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious and exceeded our expectations.

The ladies at the lobby were extremely kind. They went above and behind explaining how to get to our destination until we understood in English for us. The breakfast at the cafeteria was okay and I liked the selections for the drinks too. The room was very clean and perfect for our family!

Hotel is 5 mins walk from the train station and 15 mins walk to Kawaramuchi-dori street. It is also 3 stops away from Kyoto station so to me, good location. There is 7-eleven and Lawson nearby too so you can grab breakfast from there. The room is quite big for hotel in Kyoto. Clean and comfortable. You have to give your key at the counter when you leave the hotel each time. I have no issue with that because it takes off the worry of losing your keys. Staffs are friendly. The only comment I would say is the hallway lights are a bit dim so it gives off this horror vibes. But after awhile you just get used to it. The laundry is not within hotel so if you are looking to wash your clothes, you have to wash it elsewhere. I would come back to this hotel if I am in Kyoto.
