Advantages: The room is very big. It is very new and clean. The room is spotlessly clean. The toiletries are complete, including body lotion, makeup remover gel, facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer set. The razor has four blades. The hotel front desk service is enthusiastic. They greet you when you enter and leave, and help you call a car to pick up and put down your luggage. The deluxe room has a balcony, and the balcony is very large. Although there is no scenery, it can exchange fresh air and is also very quiet. The room is well insulated, so you don’t need to turn on the air conditioner at night to avoid dryness. The minibar has free drinks and plenty of water every day. Opposite is the Fresco supermarket. There is a post office, laundry room (this one is closer) and convenience store on the right hand side of the door. There are restaurants, gas stations and laundry rooms on the left hand side. The hotel does not allow people under 12 years old to stay, so it is very quiet. The surrounding Okazaki Shrine, Komyoji Temple, Kyoto University, and **** are all within walking distance.
Disadvantages: The place to put luggage is too small, basically it can’t be put in. My smallest luggage, rimowa26 inches, can’t fit in, not to mention the other two large luggages, and the room is big enough. Because once the luggage rack is put on, the sliding door will not be able to open the wardrobe, which is a design defect. I tried several types of breakfast that many people criticized. My family chose Japanese style, which he thought was ok, and the staple food was tamagoyaki. I chose American style, which is the most normal bacon, sausage and eggs. The taste is OK, and the fruit is very sweet (I think it is normal to choose this at least without stepping on thunder, and you can also eat full). The next day I added 1600 to change to Benedict. Benedict, which is praised by many people, I think it is very ordinary. The bottom is smoked salmon. If you like smoked salmon, you may think the breakfast is good, but I don’t like it. I can understand that the hotel is not large in size, so the breakfast cannot be too rich, and it is impossible to do self-service, otherwise the food will go bad if it is left for too long. But I have stayed in small and exquisite high-end hotels in other countries. In fact, it can be semi-self-service. Fruits, bread and drinks can be taken in the self-service area, and the staple food can be ordered. It is estimated that the hotel is unwilling to do so due to cost control. The most important thing is that there are only two choices of juice for breakfast, and there is no milk. You can only choose between coffee and black tea. Although the hotel stipulates that people under 12 are not allowed to stay, it is not appropriate for teenagers between 12 and 18 to drink coffee and black tea, right? At least there should be the option of milk. And when there are many guests dining during the morning rush hour, it took us a long time to wait for the waiter to come, which was not very comfortable. Summary: The breakfast is indeed not outstanding, but it is passable. The reason for this is not the breakfast itself, but the hotel's own positioning of this only restaurant. Because it is to be a French restaurant, the chef's idea must be the same. In fact, a hotel decorated as a Japanese garden should be a Japanese restaurant instead of a French restaurant. The Japanese restaurant downstairs in the hotel next door is doing well.
this hotel is in a good location, it is not a family hotel, breakfast was good, the only gripe we had is that we asked for non smokers room and the room smelled of tabaco, they did move us to another room which did not smell of tabaco but had not been used for a while and did have dust on the furniture.
they did try to please and make our stay pleasant
The hotel is located in a small alley next to the main road in Kyoto, which is very charming. The transportation is very convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Station. Shirakawa is outside the window, and this river is nice both day and night.
It is very convenient to watch the Kyoto Comic Exhibition, just 5 minutes away from the venue.
The hotel can store luggage on the day after check-out, which is very good.
There are washing machines and dryers, coin-operated, as shown in the picture, which is very convenient.
It is within a 10-20 minute walk from several surrounding attractions.
The room is very large, as shown in the picture. It is very convenient to stay here when traveling near Higashiyama.

An old hotel, next to the Rabbit Shrine, and opposite a 24-hour supermarket. I didn't know it at first, so I looked for food everywhere. It's close to Eikan-do Nanzenji Temple, but there's basically nothing to eat after dinner time. The hotel room is larger than average, but the facilities are really old. I booked a smoking room, which didn't suffocate me, but the smoke was too strong... The noise of the air conditioner and the refrigerator when I was sleeping was too loud, and I couldn't sleep. There is a public bath, but there is only one pool, which is good for relaxing. Considering the facilities and location, I probably won't stay here again
I had high expectations for a ryokan hotel in Osaka and Kyoto, but the accommodations were Japanese-style rooms and were okay....but there were no ryokan facilities...
I thought ryokans in Japan usually had facilities for the public to use outside....They said there was an outdoor hot spring on the 4th floor rooftop, but when I tried to make a reservation, there were only 3 private rooms.
You can make a reservation for a private room every hour from 4 PM to 11 PM (1,000 yen per use),
I made a reservation because it was a ryokan hotel, but...I was disappointed...There was just a bathtub and shower booth on the large outdoor terrace of the villa...I thought it was a ryokan, so I was shocked..ㅡ.ㅡ
Just take a bath in the outdoor bath while looking at the night sky outside...And if you use a rental car, there is no parking lot inside the hotel, so you have to use the paid parking lot next to the hotel.
The hotel has its own courtyard, breakfast and dinner are facing the courtyard, very enjoyable
The decoration in the room is very elegant and exquisite, there is a square bath to take a bath
Food for breakfast and dinner are Japanese, the ingredients are more ordinary, in fact, I don't appreciate Kaiseki, if I come again, I will choose Western breakfast and dinner
Stayed in a room with an open-air hot spring and a garden. The bathroom door leads to the garden. The door will be opened by the staff during the day. It is very comfortable to take a bath, but you may see centipedes crawling on the ground halfway through. The hotel's free ice cream is very milky. The tofu shabushabu pot for dinner is very delicious. The service is good. If you are afraid of insects, it is not recommended to stay in the garden room
A stay at this vacation home places you in the heart of Kyoto, within a 15-minute walk of Heian Shrine and Yasaka Shrine. This vacation home is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from Shijo Street and 1 mi (1.6 km) from Kawaramachi Street.
Make yourself comfortable in your air-conditioned vacation home, which features a microwave. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and digital programming is available for your entertainment. The bathroom features a separate bathtub and shower, a bidet, and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a desk and a separate sitting area.

I booked a twin room after arriving at the store, 3 people can not stay or can not be an extra bed. I can change to a 3-person room. Originally 1400 one night, now one more person has changed to 2600 one night. After the cancellation time, otherwise I rebooked the hotel. The bathroom in the room is very satisfied. Since it is a single room, why is the other bed very good? Strange and there's no bed on the ground floor.

CCommander TravelHotel is situated in a good location. Just opposite of Kyoto station. I recommend to go there via the station’s main exit, rather than the underground exit. The exit via underground is A5, but can be difficult to locate for the first time.
Amenities are basic, nothing fancy or extra. It’s a self check in/out hotel, although they do have staff on call if needed.
The doors are all electronic using a passcode, so might be a bit of a challenge for elderly people to operate if not used to.
Overall, a very nice hotel. Highly recommend if you need to get around in Kyoto using the public transport.

AAmir FahmiNew hotel, very clean and modern. The front desk personnel understood english, were helpful and friendly.
Location is good, close to umekoji st which is 1 station away from main kyoto st, also can direct access to arashiyama. There are also train museum and park nearby. Surrounding is also calm as it is located not at the busy street.
Overall, a very pleasing experience for us. Price is also affordable, definitely worth it.

GGuest UserIt's a really good hotel. The facilities are very new and the service is very good. I suggest buying breakfast on the platform. There are both Japanese and Western food. It costs 3850 yen. English is basically barrier-free, and there is also a Chinese version of the check-in explanation document for you to see.
The executive lounge seems to be available in all rooms. There are not many types, but there are ham and cheese, which is good for drinking.
The hotel is relatively green (a common problem in Japanese hotels), but this one can make you feel comfortable and has everything you should have.
The transportation is very close to the bus station, which is very convenient to go to Nijo Castle, Kamo River, and Yasaka Shrine. The subway is a little far, but it can also be reached in five minutes on foot, so it is also easy to go to Fushimi Inari Taisha.
The entire hotel design is full of sincerity, and you can find many small surprises of the designer. For example, the missing gate 🤪
The room is still not big, but the box can definitely be opened, and a few photos of the lobby are put to make up for it.
I will definitely stay there next time!

TTanya lauIf you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

WWing KitThe location of the hotel is good, just around 5-8 mins walk from the JR station. It’s still easy even if you are taking 2 big luggages.
It is convenient that there are a few convenient stores nearby. We can buy food and drinks easily.
The room is not really big for opening the luggages but it is still comfortable.

EELPVery very accessible as this is very much near or 5 minute walk to Gion District & Nishiki Market with its rotating sushi restaurant. Buses ply regularly infront of our hotel. The famous Tatami-Floored Starbucks & the Ninenzaka Old Streets are within walking distance of 30 minutes. Department stores (Uniqlo, BAL) lined up on both sides of Shijo Kawaramachi stretch where Travelodge is located. Grocery, convenience, fast food, drugstore are just around the corner. Our small room is just as comfortable as the bath works high tech & neat. It has its own pasta resto filled up almost all the time. 5-minute walk to train stations & 3-minute walk to nearest bus stop. Location is very convenient. Worth the money.

AAnonymous UserIt is not recommended for guests with more luggage or large boxes: First, because the homestay is located in the scenic area of two years and three years, tourists are like weaving during the day, and taxis can't get in at all. You need to drag your suitcase and walk a long uphill and downhill stone road and steps to find a place to live; Second, it is because it is difficult to call the car after checking out. You need to drag your suitcase through the woven stone street to the main road far away to take a taxi... Of course, for guests who have no luggage or less luggage, you may wish to experience the feeling of an old room for one night.
