Guest UserThe location is fantastic, with convenient access to public transportation, as the bus/tram stop is right next door. It's a straight shot to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace are very close by. The hostel is within a 15-minute walk of the Kamo River and Hanamikoji. You can also take a direct bus to attractions like the Philosopher's Path.
The area is lively, with plenty of shops and malls nearby.
The room is quite quiet. The front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese, only English and Japanese. The main topics of communication were confirming accommodation details, collecting accommodation tax, asking if paid pajamas were needed, noting that one key card opens all locks, and providing the room number and floor (my female dorm was on the first floor, to the left of the elevator once you enter). Disposable toiletries can be picked up near the elevator.
Overall, it's clean and hygienic. The vanity area/showers/toilets/individual locker area/washing machine (not sure if it's coin-operated) are all available. The functional area signs aren't very obvious; the toilets are located within the washroom area.

The Millennials Kyoto Capsule Hotel
Great location and clean environment, with a really well-designed common area. Even though it's a capsule hotel, it offers good privacy and comfort. I had a great experience staying for several nights in a row, and I'd definitely consider coming back here on my next trip to Kyoto.

Guest UserI live on the upper bunk. After checking in, the boss gave me a door code so that you can open the door when you come back late. After 11 o'clock, the boss is not in the store and has to go home. At about 5 o'clock, the boss started to prepare breakfast. The main advantages of this restaurant are: 1. The boss has a good service attitude and a warm atmosphere; 2. The breakfast made by the boss is the biggest highlight, free, with a wide variety of ingredients and relatively fresh; free coffee is provided in the evening; 3. There is a small courtyard, which is convenient for smokers to satisfy their craving; 4. It is very close to Dongshan Metro Station, only minutes' walk away; 5. The price is relatively affordable. If there is a shortcoming, the space in Room 9 is a bit cramped, but for backpackers, it doesn’t matter. It seems a bit small and a little inconvenient for those with a family.

Experienced a very good youth travel, stayed for five nights. The front desk staff was very gentle and patient. The hygiene is very clean, often see the staff cleaning, very careful.
The public area is fully equipped, the tea bags are very rich, especially the matcha milk powder is particularly delicious, very amazing, the taste is very sweet, basically drink every day. (In the picture, I made the matcha milk)
The location of the Youth Hostel is also very good. It is very close to the four prosperous areas. It is not far from the subway station bus stop (within ten minutes). There are several convenience stores around. There is a fried pork chop rice nearby.

Kyoto was the main stop on this trip, so I had high expectations for this hotel in Omiya. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto's most prosperous Shijo shopping street, which isn't too close, but still very convenient. There are bus stops and subway stations nearby, so getting around is still very convenient. However, if you want to avoid walking, it's best to book a room in Shijo. There's free housekeeping once every three nights, but we didn't tell the front desk before 8 p.m. one night in advance, so we didn't use it. The toothbrush was very difficult to use, much worse than the hotel in Nagoya.

Tim99887The hotel was in a good place near a grocery store and bus station. Staff was very polite and nice but my room wasn't cleaned even once
The room itself was in traditional style which is the reason I chose this hotel and didn't regret it

Overall, my experience was excellent. The location is super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so comfortable I slept soundly. The bathroom facilities were complete, and the hot water supply was stable. The staff were warm, attentive, and friendly. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted good. It's great value for money, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and highly recommend it to everyone!

JareneThe location and surroundings are wonderful, and our room was very spacious. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and comfortable.
The only downside is the shared restroom. Since it’s used by both men and women, we sometimes found the area around the toilet seat wasn’t quite clean. A bit more care here would make a big difference.
Still, it’s a nice place with great value. I’d recommend it otherwise.
