"The room was quite spacious, especially for Kyoto standards. Laundry facilities were very convenient, and we all appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, and soda. They even offered free face masks in the evenings, and after a long day of sightseeing, a relaxing bath was a real treat. The location is superb: the JR station is directly across the street. A taxi ride to Kinkaku-ji takes just ten minutes and costs less than 200. It's also incredibly convenient for visiting Arashiyama, the Railway Museum, Shijo, and Kyoto Station. Nijo Castle is even within walking distance. For everyday needs, there's an affordable supermarket called 'Live' right opposite. And if you're looking for an IMAX experience, there's a cinema in the mall just across from the JR station. The sushi restaurant within that mall is also very popular with locals."

RReneehuangHighly Recommended Stay in Kyoto I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality. In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service. Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

MMagmagcuExcellent location just 3 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station. You can get all toiletries amenities from the lobby, free flow of coffee, tea and soft drinks within a period of time. The room is normal Japanese size, enough for two people but cannot open both 20 inches suitcases at the same time. Cleanliness nothing more to say at this room rate. There has laundry area with few washing machine and dryer but the machine only accept electronic payment , they don’t accept cash and credit card which is reslly not user-friendly for tourists. When I seek the front desk assistance, they told me to go to laundry shop which is 8 mins walking distance. Not far away but we need to carry all the way back and forth. What’s the point of providing laundry service????

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a charming Japanese aesthetic. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, offering views of renowned temples. It's conveniently tucked away in an alley just opposite the train station, making it incredibly easy to get around while still providing a tranquil escape from the city buzz. The service was excellent, and the facilities were well-appointed. Breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented. Guests can also enjoy private onsen baths on the basement level, and afternoon tea is a delightful perk. Overall, I was extremely impressed and thoroughly satisfied!

Xxia****Suddenly remembered to write a review for this hotel, even though it's been over a month since I got back. I went there taking a risk, but surprisingly everything went smoothly, and I returned safely. This JR Group hotel is incredibly convenient, as all of Kyoto's rail lines converge at Kyoto Station, making it just a few minutes' walk to get around. The breakfast was an absolute delight – my only complaint was that I couldn't eat more! The room amenities were complete and of good quality, and there was plenty of pour-over coffee. I highly recommend this hotel to independent travelers who are not very familiar with Kyoto.

GGuest UserI stayed in a twin tatami room on a ladies-only floor. There aren't many rooms on each floor, and the shared restrooms, vanity area, and shower rooms are all accessible via key card through one main entrance. These shared facilities were spacious and immaculately clean. This was my first experience staying in a hotel with shared bathroom facilities, but my stay was very comfortable and peaceful. The subway station is right outside the hotel, and a bus stop is just a five-minute walk away. It's less than a 20-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station, and you'll pass Higashi Hongan-ji Temple on the way. There are many izakayas and Japanese restaurants in the vicinity. The Wagyu beef I had on my first night was absolutely amazing. If the weather isn't too hot, you can walk to popular sights like Kiyomizu-dera, Sannenzaka, and Hanamikoji in about 20-30 minutes. If you get tired, there are plenty of bus stops along the way. A bus ride costs 230 JPY, and I used my digital Suica card to simply tap and go. Fushimi Inari Shrine is also easily accessible; you can take the subway from the station right outside the hotel, and it's a very short ride. When I was in Osaka, I didn't carry any cash at all, relying entirely on my digital Suica card for all transactions.

IiamnotdelicateThe basic room type isn't in the main building; you have to walk up to the main building each time to have breakfast or soak in the onsen (hot spring). And it's not a real onsen; my friend's superior room was the real onsen. We were given a small room at the back of the hotel, but thankfully there weren't too many graves. When I asked the staff at the entrance to take photos for me, they were very reluctant and had a sour face. At night, on my way back to my room from my friend's, the receptionist on duty in the lobby was also very rude. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service. The facilities are excellent, very new, and the hotel is quite small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The decor is also very nice; the aesthetics are on point. There are at least three cemeteries and a bunch of shrines nearby; bring some amulets if you like.

TTatiana Ch.This is exactly the place I want to return to! A wonderful hotel in a great location, with nice rooms and decent renovations. We didn't have a view from the window, but that's not a problem. There is a coffee machine here, free for hotel guests. This is a big plus, thank you! The staff are polite and always ready to help you.

XXingfudeyanyanI was extremely satisfied with my stay this time. The room was prepared exactly as I requested, which I really appreciated. My room included executive lounge access, offering snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, and alcohol – a great place to sit and relax. The room facilities were meticulously maintained, and all appliances were quiet. My only minor complaint was the hairdryer, which was a bit old-fashioned and took a long time to dry my hair. The hotel staff, including the front desk and shuttle service, were exceptionally professional, very considerate, and provided excellent, personalized service. The shuttle bus stop at Kyoto Station is located behind the station, near the Hachijo East Exit, in the area where taxis and buses pick up passengers. It runs conveniently from 8 AM to 8:30 PM. You can see the exact location in my last two photos.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite a distance from both the subway station and the main shopping street, making shopping quite inconvenient. Even the bus stop requires about a 100-meter walk and crossing an overpass. They offer a public bathhouse with separate sections for men and women. The water was quite clean, and it felt incredibly relaxing to soak in after a long day of walking. My room, located on the 9th floor, had a distinct urine-like odor when the air conditioning was turned on. The smell only dissipated after I used the air purifier. The included buffet breakfast had a rather limited selection of items. On a positive note, there's an excellent ramen shop located right downstairs from the hotel, which is definitely worth a visit.
