GGuest UserThe price doubles and goes up. I have stayed in this hotel many times. It always feels good. I came here again after many years and felt that the overall service and the quality of the food in the hotel were much worse. In particular, the service may be understaffed during the peak season, but it is indeed a very good hotel. Be sure not to make any mistakes when booking a hotel, otherwise he will be unkind and only care about money!

LLiujingyanWe chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service! Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

GGuest UserMy wife and I booked the Classic Room for 3 nights in April 2025. We thought this was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are welcomed by the hotel staff. You leave your bags with them and you walk up to a separate reception area where you are seated and offered tea and macarons. Check in is conducted while you sip your tea. After you get your keys, you go up to your room and your luggage bags are already there. We were very impressed by the reception. The room itself is fairly sizeable and offers a cabinet of Fauchon snacks. We had a good view of the alley behind the hotel that was lined with Sakura trees. We could also see the mountains in the distance. The location of the hotel is also great. It is located about a 5-10 minutes walk from downtown Kyoto and about a 5 minutes walk to Kiyomizu-gojo station. We also had breakfast which included a free flow selection of bread and pastries like French croissant, baguette and brioche. You also get a fruit plate, salad, and omelette. If you stay for more than 1 night, you also get a premium breakfast menu for your 2nd night onwards. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in Kyoto.

AAnonymous UserA perfect experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right near the subway station. The annex has a dedicated check-in area, and they offer Chinese-speaking service, which is fantastic! The minibar is well-stocked with free drinks and alcohol, very generous of the hotel. The provided pajamas are also super comfortable~ Most importantly, the private onsen in the room is amazing. After a long day of exploring Kyoto on foot, relaxing in your own private bath in your room is pure bliss ❤️ 100% perfect!

__WeChat57254****It’s an extending stay of another 2 nights! The service was consistently good, the girls at the front desk defiantly speak better English than the guys. Our second room was facing to the west, there’s been some weird humming noise that you can hear in the room time to time. We didn’t bother to report it to the hotel as we were out for sightseeing most of the day. The breakfast was not as good as for example swissotel in Osaka. But it’s good enough to let you have a good start of the day!

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

GGuest UserThe service was very good. My family member was sick and the hotel brought breakfast to the room separately. They also helped me find a clinic. Although I didn't have a good experience because of the illness, it was still very good. It's also nice to go around.

GGuest UserChoosing a hotel in Kyoto was quite a struggle for me, primarily due to the pricing. Top-tier hotels in Kyoto are simply out of my league. I also passed on Hilton, Westin, and Hyatt for a variety of reasons, and it wasn't until just ten days before my trip that I finally booked this one. Overall, though, I had a positive experience. It's a quiet haven amidst the hustle and bustle, and incredibly convenient for exploring. The front desk staff had no issues communicating in English. While the room wasn't huge, around 30 square meters is perfectly acceptable for Kyoto.

IiamnotdelicateThe basic room type isn't in the main building; you have to walk up to the main building each time to have breakfast or soak in the onsen (hot spring). And it's not a real onsen; my friend's superior room was the real onsen. We were given a small room at the back of the hotel, but thankfully there weren't too many graves. When I asked the staff at the entrance to take photos for me, they were very reluctant and had a sour face. At night, on my way back to my room from my friend's, the receptionist on duty in the lobby was also very rude. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service. The facilities are excellent, very new, and the hotel is quite small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The decor is also very nice; the aesthetics are on point. There are at least three cemeteries and a bunch of shrines nearby; bring some amulets if you like.

AAnonymous UserUpon check-in, there was a staff member in the lobby who spoke Chinese. When checking out, a young woman helped me retrieve my stored luggage and even carried it to my car. She had already asked for my car number beforehand and came to the waiting area to notify me when the car arrived. I regret not catching her name. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to and from Kyoto Station daily. Although my stay was mostly arranged for an event and I only extended it by one day, they didn't make me switch rooms. I think their service is excellent.
