Service: The room was incredibly spacious and clean, and the staff even helped lay out the futons. The service was very warm and welcoming. Shopping: The first floor has a great selection of souvenirs and pastries. They're affordable and a bit more refined than what you'd find at Don Quijote. Plus, hotel guests get a 10% discount. Unique Experiences: You can experience a traditional tea ceremony in the lobby on the first floor, and there's a really comfortable communal bath on the basement level. Location: It's super close to Kyoto Station, just a few minutes' walk. There's also a large temple nearby. Food: There are tons of dining and shopping options around. Right across the street, there's a Kobe beef restaurant, and just a short walk away, you'll find a popular fried beef cutlet place with a long line. There are also izakayas and more. Shopping (cont.): It's also very convenient for shopping. Just a few steps away is a large multi-purpose commercial center with everything from clothing brands like Uniqlo and GU, shoe stores like ABC Mart, to stationery, cameras, electronics, and headphones.

This is a very Japanese-style onsen hotel. They offer complimentary ramen as a late-night snack, and you can enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream and drinks. However, I strongly advise against trying their kaiseki dinner; it was truly unpalatable and not at all to my taste! And it's definitely not cheap either. The service and cleanliness, however, were both excellent.

Perfect Location & Outstanding Staff Support! Exceptional location directly opposite JR Kyoto Station, surrounded by dining, convenience stores, and souvenir shops. The breakfast offered a good variety of Western and Japanese options. Most importantly, the staff went above and beyond when my children fell sick. They saved us from an expensive clinic which we found in web by recommending a wonderful local clinic just 10 minutes on foot away. The doctor was kind, reasonable, and provided medicine immediately. The family room is also great! Highly recommended for families and travelers!

This hotel is super convenient, right by Kyoto Station, just a 5-minute walk. Plus, there's a Lopia and Takashimaya nearby, which is a bonus. The room itself was really new. We stayed for four nights, and on the third night, we noticed the air conditioner was leaking a bit. I looked it up online, and it seems like it might be a clogged drain pipe. We had our child with us, and I had already disinfected so many surfaces in the room with alcohol wipes, so we just decided to stick with it rather than change rooms. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto. I've stayed at three hotels in Kyoto, and this one offered great value for money, especially at around 450 RMB during the summer. Oh, and there are tons of great food options around Kyoto Station! Just a heads-up: avoid Touyoutei. We ordered a set meal and then a cake, and after waiting 40 minutes for the cake, it still hadn't arrived. Our little one was practically falling asleep waiting!

Superb experience in Nohga. Everything here has been curated very carefully, you can tell the people or group behind this whole hotel concept really put in so much thought for their guests. Absolutely loved my entire stay here. I eat breakfast at their bakery every morning. Love their customisable bagels, mortadella sandwich, salted bun and cinnamon mochi donut. Chocolate mochi donut was a little too sweet. Americano and matcha latte were great. Thoroughly enjoyed their rooftop bar every night (opens till 12am). Awesome vibes, very romantic atmosphere. Staff are sweet, gives heat packs and blankets to keep us warm. Warm cocktails are a must during winters. You can order any random cocktails and they all taste so good. The distance from the train station to this hotel is quite a distance but I think the overall experience you get in this hotel makes the walk a worthwhile one. Def recommending this hotel to my friends who wanna come to Kyoto.

Room was clean and spacious enough for two people. There was also a table with two chairs in the room, which was very convenient for me to work at during the evenings. The staff were very kind and helpful. Complimentary amenities were available in the common area, and guests could request pajamas from the reception desk. I forgot to bring a plug adapter and asked to borrow one from the receptionist. Fortunately, they had one available and lent it to me free of charge. The location is convenient, about a 7–8 minute walk from Sanjo Station and the Kamo River. It is also close to a bus stop, about a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to get to Gion. The breakfast offered a good variety of options. There were both Japanese and international dishes, and the quality was good and well-prepared. I enjoyed staying and just realised I didnt take any photos of the room but nutto during breakfast…🤣

Excellent hotel in Kyoto! Located in a quiet area but still within easy walking distance of Nishiki Market, shopping areas, and many restaurants. We loved the hotel’s design—modern and comfortable while retaining a distinct Kyoto atmosphere. The complimentary foot bath on the ground floor was a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing. Free drinks, including sake, are available until 9 PM daily, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful 2-night stay and would definitely return.

I felt compelled to write a review although it’s something I don’t always do because my partner and I genuinely enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Room is spacious, clean, and housekeeping is done daily. Location is great! close to Kyoto station and several bus + taxi stands. Convenience stores & Don Quijote is a stone’s throw away. Reception was kind and always helpful. The only let down was the view, our room was facing a stairwell/backalley? So we never could fully open our blinds. Nevertheless, we’d be happy to stay here again in the future.

We stayed at Hotel Gracery Kyoto for two nights and overall had a very comfortable stay. The hotel has two sections, and we stayed in the South building. The room was very clean, and the space was used efficiently, which is typical for Japan. The bathroom layout was a bit unusual. The toilet and shower are separate, which is convenient, but the toilet cubicle itself is extremely small. The shower is positioned in an odd space between the bath and what seems to be the shower floor, and the shower head cannot be adjusted up or down. That said, the water pressure and temperature were excellent, which made up for the layout. Bottled water was provided on the first day, which was appreciated. The TV, however, was very limited with only Japanese channels and no access to Netflix or other streaming services. The location is excellent. The hotel is right by Nishiki Market and surrounded by shops and restaurants, with multiple subway lines nearby. There are also many fantastic local restaurants in the area, which we highly recommend, especially when the market gets overwhelmingly busy. The hotel provides a wide range of amenities in the lobby, including face wash, toner, lotion, razors, combs and mouthwash. While convenient, the large amount of individually packaged items does not feel particularly environmentally friendly. We checked out the breakfast one morning but decided not to purchase it as it was 2750 yen per person, and there are plenty of better and more affordable options nearby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we also appreciated that the hotel offers free umbrella use on rainy days, which was a thoughtful touch. One downside was the room cleaning timing. We left early in the morning and only returned after 3pm, but the room was still being cleaned when we got back. We were asked to wait around 30 minutes, which was quite inconvenient after a long day when we wanted to rest, shower and freshen up before heading out again. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel with a few minor design quirks and service timing issues, but still a very pleasant stay.

The cleaning staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated. Complimentary water and coffee at the reception were also a nice touch. The location of the hotel is good, and the bathroom was modern and very clean. Unfortunately, the sleeping area of the room was not very clean, which affected the overall impression. Also, the bed is only made every three days, which I personally found inconvenient for a hotel stay. The reception staff, on the other hand, did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. Overall, the stay was okay, but there is definitely room for improvement regarding service and room cleanliness.
