We stayed for 2 days and 2 nights at Manyue Mingshe Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Upon arrival, a young staff member kindly helped us carry our luggage up the stairs, as the hotel is located on a hill and requires a short climb. One of my friends lost the room access card, but the owner didn’t charge any fee for the replacement. He also guided us to a halal flower cake shop and served us traditional Yunnan tea every day, which we really appreciated. The hotel is located at the edge of Lijiang Old Town, just a few steps from the main road, making it easy for us to access DiDi rides or tour pickup points. The main entrance to Lijiang Old Town (the Waterwheel) is only about 300 meters away via the main road, or around 200 meters through a scenic uphill path with fantastic views. There are also many halal (Qing Zhen Shi Pin) restaurants nearby, both within walking distance and just outside the Old Town.

Everything was great, we really enjoyed our stay here; we stayed for three days. The hotel is located within the old town of Lijiang and yet close to the main road. We didn't have to carry our suitcases for long, as the old town is only accessible on foot. It's also very quiet. The owner was super friendly, he helped us with everything, and was always available! We highly recommend this hotel!

After arriving in Shangri-La, I returned to Lijiang and stayed at this hotel again. This time I booked a smaller room since I was only staying one night. However, the owner upgraded me to a larger room for free because they were vacant. The hotel owner also helped us rent an electric scooter, which meant I didn't have to pay a deposit (in Dali, I had to pay a 500 RMB deposit as a foreigner). He also helped me with my laundry and even assisted me in buying some delicious Yunnan black tea. The service at this hotel is fantastic, and I'll definitely come back here if I visit Lijiang again.

The manager and staff is helpful and kind. They help us with our luggages to be brought up the quite steep stairs to their Inn. They will try to help us whatever we need. Nearby halal eateries for the muslim. Also walkable to attractions.

Everything was wonderful. The hotel owner was energetic and gave us enthusiastic guidance. Additionally, the room’s equipment was still new and in great condition.

Great service! The hotel owner was especially helpful. He helped carry our luggage up many flights of stairs, provided an upgrade to a bigger room, brought us extra amenities, let use the front lobby to study/work, and gave great transportation advice. The room was clean and comfortable too :)

We had an amazing stay ! The place has a traditional design from the outside, but the rooms that we had was modern and sleek. Very big room size too. Very kind host to upgrade us for free to the highest floor so we could have rooms next to each other with amazing mountain views. We were also treated to free tea drinking and with free flower cakes for 5 of us, which we appreciated a lot..loved the custom. The host is super friendly and enthusiastic to explain about his area. Across is an inn where a Russian writer used to live and has turned into a museum and its free to go visit. So interesting. Our host also helped us book a driver to pick and send us to the railway station and also helped us book a day driver to Jade Dragon Snow Mt, Blue Moon Valley and tickets for the Impressions Lijiang Show, with a drive to Shuhe Ancient Town, at reasonable rates. We also ordered Taobao to the hotel and our host kindly called the courier company for us when they wrongly posted our packages to a wrong address. A minor point would probably be the short hike up stairs to the place, but overall , it added a sweet charm to the inn . Cars can stop though at the bottom and its a short walk, but be careful to walk slowly as it can make you breathless at the altitude.Overall, would like to come back and stay, such a gem !

Clean room. Walking distance to the Black Dragon Pond Park and Lijiang Ancient Town. Many food stores nearby. The friendly accommodation staff arranged a carpool for my trip to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and helped me with the payments to the various drivers. (I couldn’t do direct payments via WeChat as I was using an international bank card, could only do physical QR code scanning and needed the local staff’s help to do those pre/post payments.) Pleasant stay!

The owner is very kind and helpful, offering a warm welcome with tea. Extra blankets were also provided for added comfort. Many good restaurants around. This is a wonderful stay with excellent hospitality!

Love staying at this hostel. The owner are so friendly and helpful. He was very eager to help us with our JDSM ticketing. He gave suggestion on activities around Lijiang. He even made us traditional tea during our stay there. The location is good with it being just by the main road but still part of the Ancient City. The rooms are spacious and clean. There’s water heater and heated blanket. I would stay here again if I ever come back to Lijiang
