Fantastic hotel, friendly professional staff & the room was out of this world, my wife was so happy as it was her birthday treat will definitely be coming back

A beautiful hotel with luxurious rooms in a great location. Lovely reception staff who are extremely helpful too

Very spacious rooms, not the cleanliest, large bath/jacuzzi in room with waterfall shower was nice, water was not hot unfortunately was more luke warm. Good customer service on front desk helped us with an early check in and gave recommendations around the city for breakfast/brunch.

Lovely receptionist. Luggage held if you are earlier than check in, same for check out, we spent the day in Liverpool after 11am check out, collecting just before return train at 4pm. Room spacious and clean. 4th visit and will be returning.

The hotel itself was very untidy in the rooms mold in several places and also the staff are not very accommodating when you advise of a room issue

Short bed.  Payment issue

Hotel is in very good location ,very big with a big rooms.We stayed in the studio room 210 ,is like 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen,jacuzzi we was impressed of the size but we had a leak from the ceiling water dripping on the carpet,so we vent to reception to complain and ask for another room because it was not safe with electricity.Receptionist was not happy about as complaining she gave us another room no sorry nothing.we checked the new room and it was much smaller and no kitchen,so we had to go back and ask again for another room.So we went to new room 216 it was nice but toilet was dirty and toilet paper holder broken.Nice hotel but a bit tired

Lovely room but could do more lighting near the mirror. Good customer service. Great location

Fantastic location beautifully clean have stayed here b3fore totaly changed in respect of more of a party hotel they have got rid of a great deal of the football memorabilia more like a boutique hotel .some parts of hotel is looking tired .our room was good i would suggest a few little things I had no where to sit and put my make up on and couldn't see in bathroom mirror as had to lean over sink on my tip toes also trying to plug kettle in finding a socket that's not on the floor .Just a few little tweeks

Firstly the bad points- *The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked, *The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018. *tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms. *There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it. I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3. Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us The upsides were- *Staff were pleasant, *breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for, *hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe. * . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

Okay. Bathroom wasn’t very clean but the location was good. Staff were friendly enough. Room size was very big. For the correct occasion (big group/stag party etc) this is the perfect hotel. The bed was comfy. The pint of Moretti I ordered at the bar was overpriced and flat also. Personally I wouldn’t return but definitely serves its purpose well.

Room was ok location great however tv didn’t work in room and the blue tooth speakers too little disappointed we also ended up in a disabled access room so no bath heavily pregnant would have been great for a bath or just the things in room to work last hotel stay u too my baby arrives overall disappointing wouldn’t book again

Great hotel well worth it only downside have to pay £15 car park
