When we arrived at the hotel, we were not greeted by anyone at checkin, when someone did come out, they did not acknowledge us, we used the self service and headed to our room. The hotel overall is very run down, but we figured it was just a bed for the night so it didn’t matter. Once arriving at our room, the table was peeling and sticky, the bathroom wasn’t clean and there were bugs in the bed, we went down to change rooms and were swapped to a “cleaner” room that smelt of damp. But could not change again. The next morning, we arrived at breakfast at 9:30 for the self service, full breakfast. There was no food until 10am and when it was serviced it was cold, we couldn’t find staff to complain, so we left and went to tescos to eat, we decided not to have breakfast the next day. The price of the hotel £270 for 2 nights was extremely expensive considering the service and paying £43 on top for 2 people to have breakfast. We checked out and left quickly on the second day and again no staff to report anything to since the first room move. The venue is VERY close to the Drumsheds which is a good appeal, however I wouldn’t stay there again.
