hub by Premier Inn London Spitalfields, Brick Lane Hotel

Pros Not too bad a location, can get a little uncomfortable at night for solo travellers while heading back as there are few people loitering around. Smart rooms, control panel control the lights and the signs for the door. Compact room but it's cosy for one. Cons (scary encounter) Someone rang my doorbell and tried to force open the room door in the middle of the night. Luckily i locked it from the inside and door couldn't be opened. It happened twice within the same night. There was no room phone so i had to call the hotel from my own mobile, and feeling puzzled, 2 staff came up to my room to clarify. They then told me a drunk 'guest' was 'assisted' to come up the hotel rooms, but she had actually went to the wrong hotel. Weird explanation, because firstly, a room key is needed to access the lift. Secondly, if the person who assisted the drunk guest is a hotel staff who owns a master key since he's able to access the lift, he should've verify her identity prior to allowing the guest up the rooms premises. Its a safety concern. What if I did not lock the room door from the inside? The drunk guest could have just barged in and i as a female, was staying alone. Lastly, there was no kettle, only 2 bottles of water.

Perfect place to stay one night but not more. The room is well designed with useful features but as I mentioned it's very claustrophobic and for a long time can be depressing.

Location was great, but for an accessible room the walk in shower was dangerous and dirty. They should have concentrated on the deco rattan than the technology. The water in the shower flooded the floor. It stayed there all night and so when getting up to go to the loo your feet got wet and so wet when you get into bed. Worse still, it was a slip hazard.

I love all branches of the Hub, but Hub spitalfeild is the best value for money and I love the area. The staff are really nice and helpful. The room is tiny but who needs more in London. The bad is the most comfortable I’ve slept in a hotel and the breakfast is nice, basic but again very good for what you are paying for. I will definitely come back again and soon.

Clean, comfortable and compact. Very helpful, welcoming staff Very quiet at night which was great. Couldn't hear any traffic. Very good value Would recommend Plenty to see and do around Brick lane and Spitalfields, vibrant area Nice breakfast
