Spirit lifting experience. The sincere friendly staff, staring even with the kind and polite doorman, to the hostess and to the waiters already gives you the feeling that you are in the right place. But to go back to the hotel entrance, you will be charmed by the great floor mozaic and by the beautiful wooden and classic glass widows doors. But it will not be until you get be carefully taken go your seat that you will be real taken into Brown’s afternoon tea experience. The tea service is simply perfect and although the Drowning room is quite busy, you wouldn’t feel it overcrowded because the tables are at the perfect distance and probably here you will find only very well behaved guests. The team that took care of me and mom was formed by Bianca, Akskay, Miriam and Leftera. They were all so kind and great and were happy to introduce us to the types of tea and tell us about them and give us assistance for our choice. They made a great deal of this experience for us and we really appreciate. I feel like now I have a new homelike feeling place to have afternoon tea and also friends to say hello to while in the area. We had English Masala Chai, English breakfast, earl grey and afternoon blend that is only available at Brown’s and we loved them all. But of course, at the English afternoon tea experience you get to have a lot more to drink and also to eat! Besides the tea, we had champagne and red hot wine, we had the great sandwiches and the best cakes, but queen was Cornish Clotted Cream with jam on scones. Simply out of this world. Was very excited to taste what I saw in the Queen, Elisabeth II, on Netflix and it indeed exceeded my expectations. Also we got to sit in the spot that Agatha Christie which transported me better back in the time. The staff was to moving around the clock with such elegance that you could wonder how they would do everything so good and fast and still so quietly. The piano is the perfect touch of the room. I asked Olga Myslyvets, the artist that was playing to play my favourite song and she did and it was amazing. One more thing, ask the staff to show you around, they will do it with great pleasure. You will get to see the room Graham Bell had the first phone call in the word! We are looking forward to come back in spring to spend a few nights at the hotel too. We got to see the bar too and that is as well quite of a place. The reception got my heart with the fresh smell of Christmas tree and with the cozy fireplace. That was our experience here and I kindly recommend to anyone looking for a great afternoon tea experience.
