We loved our stay here !
The Guesthouse is an old wooden building with a lot of character and charm. The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful, and they spoke good English which helped a lot.
There is a nice communal balcony that we enjoyed spending time on, with free cold water, hot water, and tea & coffee.
We were also able to book a motorbike rental & organise our transport to the train station via the guesthouse which was also really helpful.
We highly recommend this place !

The room has its own characteristics, but it is very small. The location is very good, very close to Don Si, the Grand Palace and Xieng Thong Temple. But the bathroom is average.

However, there are always ants on the bed. There are various insects flying in the room. The bath and toilet are very dirty. The toilet is black and dirty for some reason. There was a centipede in the bath, and I got sick of it and checked out halfway. People who are used to traveling may be fine. Not recommended for people who are afraid of insects.

During low season, 100RMB/night without breakfast seems very cheap.
I don't know what the other rooms in the hotel are like, but the room No. 3 on the first floor I stayed in was really bad. The old floor creaked when you stepped on it, the bed was covered with debris from the ceiling, the room was dark and damp, and the condition of the bathroom was hard to describe. Apart from the fact that the bath water was not hot, it felt like being in a slum, and the attached "balcony" "It's of no use. The dirty floor mixed with the cross-flow of air conditioning cooling water makes it impossible to step on.
It's OK that you need to take off your shoes when entering the hotel, but the floor inside is not clean enough to warrant taking off your shoes and there is a serious smell in the air, especially near the shoe rack.
I don’t have any photos to share because I spend most of my time playing outside and try not to stay here as much as possible.
