I booked a double room without breakfast to perform umrah. My husband & I requested early checkin and got charged 50 SR, but that’s okay since we arrived too early. The room was spacious and clean. They provided complete amenities except hairdryer.
The housekeeping staffs was nice and helpful. They cleaned the room everyday except the first day because I asked for it not to. I did my own laundry and hang my clothes on rooftop. But make sure to clip it tightly so that it won’t blow away.
The location is a bit far from Haram but they provided a free shuttle with reliable schedule. Unfortunately the terminal was quite far. It was at Shaib Amir bus station which is about another 10-15 mins walking to Masjidil Haram so I needed to arrange the time carefully especially on prayer time.
The hotel is conveniently located from the haram. 5-10 min. by bus. A very big problem with the elevator, they are always busy during namaz. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower is small. The air conditioner is very powerful.
The kindness of the staff, the room is very large, there are some small insects in the bathroom as well as inside the room, the breakfast is varied, the bus is very difficult to find on return and no cleaning service in 3 days of reservation

We received a free upgrade from the kind hotel concierge lady upon checking in, we were so surprised and pleased by this upgrade.
From city view to partial haram view, it was amazing masha Allah!
The room was so big! The musollah was gorgeous despite the unexpected size, as I thought it would be bigger. I love the set up of the restaurant buffet, so during breakfast it feels cozy and homey but I wish there would be more variety of food like the other jabal omar hotels that we have stayed before. It could be due to their sustainability efforts so that could contribute to less food waste, I guess?
As for the location wise, walking down was easy to the haram however going back by walking up the hill after completion of umrah was quite painful. We would appreciate if the hotel provide a thorough video explanation of the shuttle bus access during check ins. But other than that, we managed to figure out the shuttle bus service and indeed they are very fast *************!
We were given late check out as requested ************* so we can maximise our prayers in the masjid as we have a late night flight.
Do take note that uber taxis does not pick up from the hotel except for Careem.
Hopefully they will open up a mall within the Address Hotel itself so that it will be easy to find lunch and dinner for our meals. We ordered dinner through room service for our first night and despite the food came an hour later, the portion size and the taste was so scrumptious and yummy! Definitely worth more to pay for the room service rather than paying for the meals at the buffet restaurant!
This hotel is next level unreal! The pictures of the rooms don't do it justice, it's way better in reality (at least in my case). We booked three rooms for 5 nights in Jan/ Feb 2025, were located in tower 3 - Al Falak Tower in rooms 708/ 6**/6**. The bathrooms were unbelievable, all stunning white marble with some super fancy design, so so amazing, the shower was so big you could fit like 7 people in there, I have never stayed in such a luxury room before. Ceilings are like 4 metres, really unbelievable. The colour palette for the room was muted greys and pastels, it looked very nice, suited the room and location. One thing that would be useful, can the hotel just install a Japanese bidet instead of a separate one, I think it's a waste installing a standalone bidet and the all-in-one bidet toilet is current technology, so it would be useful compared to the current setup (Toto toilet, etc).
Now, the sad bit. The distance from the Haram is advertised as not far, and it isn't. But the reality is it's extremely difficult to enter the haram, because of the crowds, it is just heaving. The police close off the haram to outsiders as soon as the adhaan goes, so you can't enter (be aware), and you'll have to pray outside the boundaries of the haram if you are not inside the area before the adhaan (this may be subject to change, and I cannot confirm how they arrange their opening times etc, please confirm on your own travels).
Inside the haram, there is ridiculous construction work going on, all entrances are purposefully blocked, so that huge traffic builds up (I remember 10 years ago in 2014 when I stayed at Bai Al Abraaj, you could just walk into the Ma3taf area of the haram in about 5 minutes, now it is impossible. ). I have no idea what the government is doing, but it seems to intentionally be closing off areas to stop people from entering, which is really a shame. It seems that the purpose is that you rather go to all the shops and malls outside the mall, or pray inside your hotel rather than venture out, this seems the goal of the current administration by closing off all entrances, or causing huge areas to be cordoned off so that getting in easily is impossible. I got so sick of the crowds that i ended up not wanting to go into the haram afterwards (the crowds inside are really next level crazy, they will push and drive wheelchairs up your legs and cut you - happened to me but maybe I was just unlucky).
The hotel is exceptional and so is the buffet breakfast/ dinner - breakfast is between 90 - 119riyals, and dinner is about 149 riyals. Food is amazing, but it's sad that most people pile their plates with croissants etc, don't take a bite and throw it away, such a shame. I hope the hotel can have signs up to prevent such ridiculous wastage, or at least give this food to the outside poor people.
Located in Makkah (Al Shubaikah), Sama Samah Hotel is within a 15-minute walk of Great Mosque of Makkah and Kaaba. This hotel is 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from Abraj Al-Bait Towers and 0.6 mi (0.9 km) from King Fahad Gate.
Make yourself at home in one of the 65 air-conditioned guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include phones and safes, and housekeeping is provided daily.
The breakfast is ok, because I have lived before, so I know it is not as good as before, the rooms are clean, and the waiters are good, but the bar is really difficult to communicate, can I study English seriously? I feel like they don’t understand if you hurry up hahaha
The location is right next to the Haram and underneath it are the Mecca markets and Carrefour. The thing that bothered me the most was the elevators.. they are very crowded and during prayer times the wait can reach 10 minutes!
I had an excellent stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.
The staff were amazing—proactive, professional, and always ready to assist. The guest relations lady, in particular, was incredibly helpful and always went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience and she was always available at anytime.
The rooms were spotless and very well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Additionally, the hotel offers a buggy service to the Haram, which was very convenient, even though it’s just a short 3-minute walk.
Overall, this is a fantastic hotel that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Great service, clean facilities, and thoughtful amenities made this a memorable stay!
Generally an excellent hotel. Some staff members would still benefit from further customer service training however it’s absolutely vital that I mention and praise Mr Amro Bin Malih. An excellent Manager of the hotel who Swissotel should be proud to have.
Great approach in dealing with people and a great person in general.
