Hotel Villa Delle Meraviglie

Amazing place with wonderful huge garden and park. No sand beach, but plenty of beaches elsewhere in proximity.

It is a beautiful hotel. Our room was gorgeous with a comfortable bed and lovely linens. The shower had great water pressure. The pool is perfect with magic views. The staff were charming and friendly. Breakfast was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely property with nice pool and rocky beach with access to water. Nice chairs and umbrellas, and towels. Rooms were simple yet very clean. Antonella at the reception was very helpful in securing reservations at two amazing restaurants Highly recommend!

Omg thats the best staying in west coast. The view is spetaculare. Hotel Rooma are nice and comfortable, servise is very nice. Love this place. They have theyre own beach also. Breakfast is great bufee and you also can have gluten free food here.

We spent two nights here during a trip to Maratea. The location is amazing, right on the sea (though the villa itself is up a number of flights of stairs). You can swim off the rocks into the crystal clear waters, or there are two pools. Staff was very caring; I had forgotten my swim googles near the sea, and they had found them and had them at the front desk for me the next day. The rooms themselves are clean, but rather on the small side and remind me of a room in a convent. My "sea view" room did, indeed, have views of the sea over the trees. My friend's garden room was about the same in size and a tad on the dark side, as it was built into the sloping hillside without the view. Buffet was satisfactory and well staffed with a full array of breakfast foods and a nice patio to dine on. Certainly the best value I've had on a trip in awhile. If you're not planning on hanging out in your room, you won't find a better place.

I’ve dreamed of a perfect wedding there. Guests of 53, left from the US. We booked the whole hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. When we got there on Friday they were so rude, they started yelling at our guests. On Saturday morning, the day of my wedding they started yelling and screaming at our guests again. Only because the guests were in dining room a little after 10am. When my husband went to talk to them they cursed him out and told us to leave the hotel. And refused to refund the rest of the money (we only stayed for 1 night)They went as far as calling the police to get us out. Just imagine, you travel to a strange land, than on the biggest day and most remarkable day of your life and this happens. I was devastated. But a big thank you to our wedding planner Lucia who stepped in and took us to another location.

Unfortunately I was sick for most of my stay (no fault of the hotel). The place was very nice and staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was quite uncomfortable, however that was probably due to the excess time I had to spend in it.

This hotel is outstanding in every way: top notch hospitality, fabulous scenery, luxuriant gardens with lots of mini 'terraces for 2' (ever wanted to dream of being in your own private villa?)... I can't praise it enough. The buffet breakfast is worthy of a 5* hotel , complete with a selection of gluten free items and dedicated GF toaster. The rooms are spacious (we were on 1st floor) & spotlessly clean. The two pools are set in such a way that they were not crowded (despite being fairly small by North American standards) and can be enjoyed using a poolside lounger or one of the nearby 'mini terraces' dotted throughout the garden. There is a gazebo at the bottom of the garden with a breathtaking view (perfect wedding venue!). From the gazebo the descent to the sea is about 80 steps down (BTW there is no elevator in the hotel, you need good mobility in general at this location) ; the beach is a rock platform complete with deck chairs and sun umbrellas. We forgot to bring down the hotel - supplied beach towels one day.... a quick call to reception brought a very kind member of staff down with them!! :) Good snorkeling here, the water is crystal clear. The location is delightfully isolated (come by car) and bring comfortable shoes to explore all the nooks& crannies of this hillside Maratea gem! We will be back...

One of the older waiters came up to take my bags downstairs because there was no lift. He came into the room, complimented me on my figure, and asked for hugs in which he touched my bottom. His English wasn't good, but I think the hand gestures to my boobs and body shape and the constant use of the words Bellissimo I think are universal in any country when a man is hitting on you. He even asked if I had a boyfriend. Since he had come into my room alone, the door shut behind him. I felt uncomfortable with his advances. He was supposed to take my suitcase downstairs but seemed very uninterested in doing so. He was also supposed to collect my best friend's suitcase from her room, but he never turned up. We spoke to the manager, and she called me a liar and said she didn't accept what I was saying because he was a long time friend of hers. It turned out he was also married! Basically if you are a female traveller and choose to stay here alone. Don't bother to report sexual advances from the male staff. No one will believe you.
