What to say about this beautiful boutique hotel that others haven't already? Only that our six-night stay there was so wonderful that we'd go back in a heartbeat. Stunning individually-styled air-conditioned and quiet rooms, delicious meals (we had breakfast, dinner and lunch there on separate days), friendly and attentive staff, sumptuous bed with cotton linen, huge garden-dining space and secluded communal pool. Particularly loved the decorative touches, the vintage styling throughout, and delightful lounge with old-school library. The hotel provides a map with personal recommendations for cafes and restaurants - of these Restaurant La Place and Marcel & Zette were a short walk from the hotel and served delicious food. The hotel is located in a quiet residential district in south Marseille, a short distance from the Calanques National Park (we actually walked to Sormiou). As we didn't hire a car (possibly a mistake in hindsight) it meant relying on Ubers for comfortable travel in the sweltering July heat - though it is possible to get public transport to the city centre, and we hired bikes from the hotel to visit Plage de la Pointe Rouge. Just a great base for a week exploring Marseille and the Calanques - missing it already!

Save and idyllic family hotel in the South of Marseille. Amazing and courteous staff and owners. A green park-like tranquil hotel area with swimmingpool. Beautifully designed signature rooms with personal elements. They have the label la clef verte. Gorgeous partly homemade breakfast with homemade glutenfree and dairyfree cakes! Dinner options available. We loved our stay and would recommend it to absolutely anyone! Merci Hotel 96 🤩

We were so lucky to find out about this absolute gem of a hotel. As many other people have said it is a perfect oasis in what is a busy city. We stayed for 4 nights using it as a base to explore the Calanques to the east of Marseille and it was wonderful to be able to return to the peace and tranquility each evening. The breakfast is fabulous and we also took advantage of the evening menu that they provide - simple but very well done and lots of local produce used. Staff are amazing and incredibly helpful with local advice. We also loved the multi generational family feel that the team give and also the really high levels of eco measures that they have in place. We are already planning our return visit!!

I had the pleasure of staying here with my daughter for a few weeks. Glorious little hideaway, close to the Calanques and beaches of Marseille. Attentive staff, beautiful grounds, a lovely, quiet pool and a great breakfast in the mornings. The room was perfectly appointed, comfortable beds, powerful A/C to keep us cool during the heatwave, and a great walk-in shower. The room could’ve used a few more hooks to hang towels and wet bathing suits but other than that tiny detail, it was perfect in every way. Officially our go-to spot if ever we’re lucky enough to return to Marseille.
