My stay at Bayview Hotel Melaka was truly memorable, thanks in part to the exceptionally helpful and friendly front desk staff. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the hotel, with every corner reflecting the staff's dedication to maintaining a pristine environment. While not ultra-modern, the hotel provided most essential amenities, including well-maintained gym and pool facilities. The old-school design and ambiance added a charming touch, offering a glimpse into Melaka's rich history. Its strategic location in the heart of Melaka made exploring the city's attractions effortless. The spacious room, with its breathtaking view of the bustling streets and serene river, was a highlight. It offered a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. However, what truly stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the front desk staff. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist with a smile, offering valuable tips and ensuring all my needs were met promptly. For those seeking a blend of comfort, nostalgia, and outstanding hospitality in Melaka, Bayview Hotel Melaka is highly recommended.

They are not lying when they said unlimited breakfast buffet from 7am till 12pm. This is the most great thing about this hotel. Their view is beautiful. Like others mentioned, we can see melaka river cruise at night from the balcony. Other than that, facilities in children a bit wear out already. However we did enjoy the pool because it’s quite big. The adult pool have infinity view but slightly poor in cleanliness.

The view from my room is beautiful, can see Melaka River and all city 🫶🏻… Free parking provided for guest(sharing park with swiss gardeen hotel,Level 7&8) But to be honest for staycation is just nice, u do not expect to much yaa.. The room i got level 31-092, air-conditioning not properly functioning. The designer for bathroom wall(are glasses) not suitable for family or friends to stay together unless a married couple. Because you all can see transparency thru the glass, no binder provided and also the bathroom door no doorknob yaa. You guys can imagine, no privacy😅 Yes, for the lift until August 2024 there is not improvement despite a lot of complaint 🤒 It can be ages to waiting for the lift.

Hotel location is extremely convenient, it’s very near to all main tourist attractions like Jonker walk, Red square and riverside. The room is spacious and clean. And the staffs are also friendly and helpful. Happy stay at Ibis!!!

Great location, friendly staff and value for money! The hotel and room looks exactly as per advertised. Room 209 without window is superb, clean and spacious room, the shower is soft and comfortable, water is warm enough. Bottled water are given in the room. The staff is very helpful during the stay. Behind the hotel there’s a restaurant which can connect directly to the river walk, makes the walk to Jonker street much shorter.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, situated in the heart of Melaka, making it convenient to explore all the main attractions. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I felt like a valued guest throughout my stay. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I particularly enjoyed the stunning view from my window, which added to the overall ambiance of relaxation.

Terrible pillow cleanliness as photo attached. Smelly & very dirty pillow. Yellow spot ( which im very sure is air liur basi stain) every where. We asked to changed 3 pillows then they give new pillow with the same stain. 2 nd time asked to change pillow again & they gave us new pillows. This time no stains. Thanks to the housekeeping guy for helping us.

Hotel location is good . Breakfast was so so only . Not much choice . Spoon was given to me by staff was not clean . Staff not able to provide services to crowded guests. Food are not topping up . No glasses to take drinks . We will not take breakfast service next time . However room is big ( we took primer deluxe suit ) and nice sea view . Will visit again . Hotel management to consider for crowd management during breakfast time with extra hired staff and open another space for breast instead of long que for guests .

Saw many recent comments that described the negative parts, so I was a bit hesitant to book at first. But I went ahead because it was the cheapest (26-27 Nov 2021) and it’s not located among the busiest parts of town. I came with my wife and two children – aged 9 and 4. Through Agoda (listed in TripAdvisor, obviously pfftt), I got the Superior Triple Room which had with it: - 1 king bed - 1 single bed - 1 sofa large / long enough for an adult person to sleep on. - free buffet breakfast for 3 pax All these + taxes + surcharges + fees on the end-of-Nov weekend = RM 292. RM 292!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please refer to my pictures for the descriptions below; --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Room --------- - it was clean; towels, mattresses, pillows, etc. all smelled nice too - TV worked fine – some free TV channels + radios; two USB ports can be used, no HDMI ports - aircond was good; its remote worked fine as well - shower was great; it was easy to adjust heat and cold shower - water pressure was strong; flush and bidet were in good conditions - balcony was windy and the river view was calming; the grill’s height was higher than standard, I’m 175cm and its top was above my navel. So, I think it’s quite safe even for children to lounge around for a few seconds - nighttime was quiet; we went to bed around 11.45 pm and there was nothing (happening) downstairs - toiletries and basic tea-coffee sets were aplenty; got clothing iron sans the board Hotel -------- - indoor pool was just down the hall; we went into the pool room didn’t take a dip, the size was decent for an indoor pool - all three lifts were operational and fast; even with the traffic of weekend tourists, we never had to wait for more than a minute - check-in process took roughly 3 minutes; check-out was less than 15 seconds - all the staffs were pleasant and helpful, no matter where I came across them - the single-entrance basement parking was free of charge and bright enough even at night with security guards; there were hundreds of parking bays, so no fuss about fighting for one - I don’t think it’s THAT far from the town because you just literally have to cross the bridge and you’re there. I timed it; it took me a whole 8 minutes from Riviera’s basement parking to reach Dataran Pahlawan / Imperial Heritage. If that’s far, just book Hatten then and Bob’s your uncle =) Restaurant --------------- - buffet breakfast was more than enough for RM15/pax (not that I had to pay for my son coz he’s 4 years old); many of the typical Malaysian heavy breakfast choices were there, like nasi lemak, fried kuétiau, fried noodles, fried mihun, white bread, and porridge + boiled eggs, hotdogs, condiments, etc. - food counters were easily accessible; tables are minimal inside the restaurant but there were a lot more outside (for both covered and open-air areas) - cutlery was clean

This place was very cozy and clean. I love its environment. Their front desks person were very helpful and cheerful. It has a lot of parking spaces but a bit scary as it is not fully completed yet. Otherwise, you can park in front of the hotel (first come first serve). Overall, I recommend this Amber Cove for you to stay 🫰
