We really enjoyed our short stay at Jaguarundi! It was the perfect arrangement for my partner, and I. Very close to town, but it felt like you were in the wilderness.. the breakfast was very fresh and in a beautiful atmosphere. All of the staff, especially Alicia and. Miladei were so helpful. The additional convenience of scheduling tours in the hotel lobby was greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay again!

This was one of the hotels on our 10 day tour of Costa Rica's Natural Wonders. We stayed in 6 different places and this was the most rustic. Set in a jungle, understandable but the rooms were VERY dark (all dark wood paneling, flooring)...and hot. It could have used a bit more lighting and maybe a fan. Breakfast was served in another hotel just up "a few stairs". Well, it was a huge hike up there. My husband has mobility issues and after one long climb up there, he said never again. So we got take out for dinner and I went up for breakfast and brought his back to him. But staff were most pleasant (Dylan) and helpful at all times. But we did see lots of wildlife in the area.

A very nice lodge near to the nature. The room felt a little bit like being in a tree house. There are also some animals to see and you can walk the little trail of the hotel. The service was very good and everything is clean. Big thanks to Manfred who gave us tips and told us a lot about the country. Highly recommended!

Great wild life right on site. Nice trail walk on property. Cute rustic cabins on a hillside. Tricky walking if you are not used to hill climbing. Close walk to town but it feels like deep in the forest. Agouti, Coati mundi, howler monkeys. Blue crowned mut mut.

Good tropical forest environment. A bit tough to climb steps to our room especially for seniors like us. Good location as its close to downtown with shops and sovrnirs and restaurants. Rooms are good size and fairly maintained but do not expect to have all neccesites you expect ....like hair dryer.

Really friendly reception by Dylan and lovely room with glass panels into the jungle. Good shower with lots of hot water. And only 5 minutes from the town. Saw howler monkeys in the morning - and heard them of course 🤣🤣🤣………………………………………………..

Dylan was sooo helpful with our luggage and making sure that we were set up for the day with Treetop tours and an excellent sunrise coffee morning in the clouds Millydia welcomed us to the hotel with a glass of wine and reminded us we could see the sunset from the joint Ficus hotel above. Everything was absolutely spotless in this hotel, and all the staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend this and there’s even a little bridge to get to your hotel room Thank you for having us Jaguarundi

Beautiful room and surroundings! Breakfast was great and had more options then in our other hotels! The reception staff was exceptionally nice and spoke great English. We loved talking with all of them and got great recommendations for tours and trips!

A nice place to stay for some days. The personal is very friendly and is helping wherever they can. Would like to highlight here Manfred and Alicia, the get a 5 of 5. A 3 of 5 is the breakfast organised together with the near Hotel Ficus. The Lodge is very near a crowed street with a high grade and so you hear the cars very loud, specially on a Saturday evening/night continuously. Ask for a room on the opposite side.
