I have always wanted to have a chance to visit Shengsi, the easternmost part of the motherland, to see the sunrise and sunset. I chose Wind Villa because it only takes ten minutes to walk to the East Cliff Cliff to watch the sunrise, and it is very close to the No Man's Village and Xiyang Bay to watch the sunset. The hostess of the B&B is very enthusiastic. The location is a long hill away from Dawang Business District. The location is pretty good, and the owner of Qunar B&B can also help call a taxi. The room was pretty good and clean. The sea view from the sea view room was beautiful at first glance. We mainly eat meals ordered from B&Bs. The meals we eat are relatively home-cooked, taste good, and the price is reasonable.

We brought our kids to Gouqi Island for the weekend and stayed at this guesthouse – it was fantastic! The location is super convenient, right by the sea with several free beaches downstairs, perfect for kids. You can enjoy sea views and a sea breeze right from your room. The room was clean and tidy, very comfortable to stay in, and the soundproofing facing the sea was excellent. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful. Before we even arrived, they recommended sightseeing routes and helped us arrange a driver. When we got to the guesthouse, they even helped us with our luggage. We could ask them anything we needed, and the whole trip was completely hassle-free.

Every year during the off-season, I spend a few days in Putuo, and I've stayed at several hotels on the island. Xilai Zhizhu Hangshe is definitely one of the best. The location is excellent, the facilities are great, the hygiene is satisfactory, and the service is also very good. Besides the high room rate, there's hardly anything to fault. Especially the Yuanzhi Yuanwei restaurant downstairs – it was a pleasant surprise! I used to avoid 'influencer' spots, but after eating there twice, I was very impressed. No pre-made dishes, fresh ingredients, good flavor, and great value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again every year.

While the room facilities are quite standard, I highly recommend booking a seaside table early for dinner. You can enjoy the sea breeze, fresh seafood, and the beautiful ocean scenery right at the hotel. Afterward, return to your room and watch the bright moon over the ocean from the courtyard. Breakfast begins at 6 AM, which is perfectly timed to catch the sunrise, take a stroll along Baibu Beach, and then enjoy your meal!

My trip to Mount Putuo in 2026 has come to a perfect end today. I still chose Baotuo Xingshe this time, mainly because of its good value for money, its proximity to Puji Temple, and the fact that the island's popular restaurant, Yuanzhi Yuanwei, is right outside. I especially want to commend their room attendant, Xu Yulan, who was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.

The room facilities are suitable for families, and the overall environment is quite nice. It would be even better if there were welcome fruit. The front desk staff are sincere and helpful; they are commendable for their empathy and consideration for guests.

The room was very clean and odorless. Even though the window faced the street, it was very quiet at night. I, a light sleeper, actually slept soundly last night. The front desk staff were excellent. This morning I was in a rush to get to Puji Temple and accidentally left my coat's belt in the room. The staff proactively called to remind me about it. Everything was very satisfactory, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.

I stayed in the northernmost room at the end of the corridor. The window was not closed tightly. The north wind was howling at night and the air was leaking. The soundproofing in the room was too bad, too bad, too bad. The bathroom floor was leaking. The two Apple mobile phone chargers were charged fine when I went to bed at night, but they were broken when I woke up in the morning. It was a heavy loss. I stayed in this hotel every time I came to Putuo Mountain (it was under renovation and closed when I came last year). This year, the experience was too bad. I also lost two chargers. I asked the front desk for a bottle of mineral water, and they said I could buy it in the hotel store. I will never stay here again.
