AAJ2020To be quite honest when we booked this hotel for one night only we didn’t have very high hopes for it. However, the contrary happened. Hilton Zhoushan turned out to be amazing; literally from the first minute that we stepped in we were greeted warmly by front desk staff. They speak very good English and the GM was very nice; once he realised that it’s our little daughter’s first birthday they offered cake and candles. They also brought a nice crib for the baby. Every single staff member’s behaviour was professional and friendly and respectful. On the 19th floor we had an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding landscape. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

GGesangWGreat experience in this hotel. The staff is super kind and helpful and our room was big and bright. Highly recommended. Location wise, its okey, right by the sea with plenty of restaurants yet in the island you’ll still need to take taxi to visit certain places, no more than 10min. From the hotel if you take a bike can visit the budhas in the sea, nice place in the north corner.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for two consecutive nights. My plans for the second day were originally undecided. When I later inquired about extending my stay, the hotel informed me there were no special discounts for extensions, and the price was identical to what was listed on Ctrip. Fair enough, as it was a weekend and hotel prices usually go up, so I decided to check out other hotels. However, when I returned from my excursion and decided to extend, I found that the hotel's price had actually dropped compared to the previous night. If I had extended my stay directly that morning, I would have seriously overpaid.
Perhaps because it was my first time staying here, a hotel staff member contacted me by phone and added me on WeChat the day before to confirm if it was my initial visit. Once I confirmed, everything was perfectly arranged. Upon arrival at the pier, a hotel shuttle bus picked us up and took us to the hotel (this was the most important reason I chose this place). As soon as we disembarked, a bellhop helped with our luggage and delivered it directly to our room after check-in. The front desk mentioned a room upgrade (though I honestly felt it was no different from what I booked, and I didn't book the most basic room to begin with). The room's environment and cleanliness were quite good, and any extra amenities requested were delivered promptly. Overall, it was a pleasant and satisfying first night's stay.
However, everything changed on the second day. Being a weekend, the hotel was accommodating tour groups. Check-in was incredibly slow, and the front desk staff seemed rather indifferent, completely lacking a customer service mindset. Despite room availability clearly allowing for it and my being a two-night consecutive guest, there was no room upgrade offered. Most notably, for a four-star hotel, they didn't even offer late check-out; I was informed the latest check-out time was 1 PM. The dehumidifier's water collection tank in the room was full, and before checking out, I even found a small spider crawling on the wall 😅.
My overall impression of the service industry on Putuoshan is that it operates with an attitude of 'take it or leave it – we don't lack tourists anyway, so just come and leave quickly.' The island's management is also extremely poor, which was quite disappointing to say the least.

GGuest UserThis established hotel truly stands out for its ambiance and service! Its location is superb; a bus stop is right at the entrance, making it convenient to go anywhere. Fayu Temple is just a 3-minute walk away, and Qianbu Beach is a short stroll further. The service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, including complimentary souvenirs, fresh fruit, and soft drinks. A special highlight was on our last day: when we were heading to Luojia Mountain, they helped transport our luggage to the pier. The timing was impeccably coordinated, not a minute was wasted.
I want to extend a special thank you to the hotel. My mother accidentally sprained her ankle while coming down the mountain. I only asked for some ice to apply, but upon learning of the situation, the front desk immediately arranged for room service to deliver Yunnan Baiyao (a traditional Chinese medicine) to us. We were incredibly grateful, as this ensured my mother's foot received prompt treatment. By the next day, there was only a faint bruise, no swelling, and it didn't affect her walking at all. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻

2205159****I've stayed here before because it's convenient for morning prayers at Puji Temple, so I came back again this time. But it's strange, staying in the same room, my experience this time was terrible. I went to bed at 8:30 PM for morning prayers, but from 9 PM onwards, there was the noise of the restaurant downstairs dragging tables, the constantly loud phone ringing at the front desk, and then in the middle of the night, rude guests shouting and doors slamming. The soundproofing is just awful. I later saw that several new hotels and guesthouses have opened near Puji Temple this year. Anyway, I won't be staying here again. The good rating is for the staff; even though they didn't solve the problems, their attitude was decent.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, very close to Fayu Temple. I lived next door to it three years ago. This time I chose Guantang, and it didn't disappoint me. The driver who picked us up was very nice and took us to the cable car station. Because I just arrived in a hurry, I didn't have time to ask the driver's name. Thank you again here.
The beach not far from the hotel is very beautiful. You can see Luojia Mountain and catch crabs. You can get a steamed egg for your baby when you check in and eat at the hotel. I also want to thank the housekeeper Xiao Pan. I am very satisfied with the room I arranged, and it also has a terrace. It's just that it rained the next day, so I didn't have the opportunity to sit on the terrace and relax. 😅
I hope we will all get better and better. I will come again.

GGuest UserA very nice hotel, recommended! We first went to Puji Temple on the recommendation of the store. The itinerary for the next day was also recommended by the front desk. It was very clear and reasonable, and our luggage could be stored at the hotel. When we finished visiting all the attractions, we didn’t have to return to the hotel to pick up our luggage. We took a bus directly from the scenic spot to the pier, and the hotel also sent our luggage to the pier, which was great👍🏻 Special thanks to the two ladies at the front desk, Xiaoshi and Xiaomen, for their warm hospitality. We will stay here again next time. 👍👍👍👍

GGuest UserXiangsheng's location is really good, very suitable for burning incense and worshipping Buddha. You can walk out of it. The location is very good, and you can see its former glory. But the maintenance is not very good, the room facilities are old, and the quality of the double-upholstered products is also very poor, especially the humidity. When we checked in, we felt like we could squeeze out water from the quilt and bed. The price is also very expensive. We checked into a hotel in Zhoushan the next day, and the experience was completely different at the same price.
I hope the hotel can revive and start again, starting from the experience of pilgrims and tourists.
