"Our first Ryokan experience that we will never forget! The staff was great and the facilities are amazing. They have a big variety of onsen bath to choose from, public and private ones. And the private ones don't require a reservation or extra charge, which makes the experience more comfortable. You don't need to think about rushing in or out of the bath, can just relax. The dinner and breakfast was also great, thanks to the good service of the staff!
If we ever get back to Japan, we will come here again."

Great
GGuest UserWe came to Shiga Plateau for skiing, we have been to Yudanaka four times, and we have lived in 8 different homestays. Daimaru House is the best one:
A The boss's English is good, there is no problem with communication (the boss is not good);
B There is a bathroom in the room, which is very convenient (most of the bathrooms in the homestay are shared and inconvenient)
C In the hot spring town, eating is very convenient;
D Going out is the station, it is convenient to go skiing on the mountain;
E Indoor and outdoor hot springs are large and powerful;
F The boss is very nice and provides pick-up/send-off/go to snow monkey park service (this is very important in Tangtianzhong, some homestays do not provide it)
In a word, come to Shiga Plateau skiing, choose Daimaru House is right!
GGuest UserBecause I wanted to see the fireworks conference and just wanted to experience the hot spring, I booked the house here. The reception was a grandfather. It was a bit late on the day I arrived in Tangtianzhong. It was raining. Grandpa came to pick us up. The hot spring was very comfortable. Tangtianzhong should not be the tourist season. Maybe we arrived. Too late, too early, the road is deserted, no one
GGuest UserLocated just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!
EElinaNikIt was brilliant!
It is the same with pictures on this site.
They gave me yukata and towel and changed it every day. I had a tea and enjoyed it on my balcony. I tried a futon at first time in my life.
I had my own reserved table for breakfast.
❗❗❗The hotel has its own bus with driver, which took me to the Snow Monkey Park and to the station for free!
Actually staff was so polite! It is seems like you are someone important.
Actually the only one minus that you can't go to all 9 Shibu Onsen's baths, but just to 9th bath only. But the hotel has its own bath even open-air.
It was really nice and comfortable accommodation.
GGuest UserWe like both the services and the cleanliness of the room. However, the hotel needs to upgrade their bathroom and sink. You can't get a good warm temperature in winter when there are 2 taps, one for cold and one for hot. See the pictures attached. The rubber hose in one of our bathrooms broke. Fortunately, they could come immediately to replace it for us. Overall, the stay is ok, but we hope the hotel can upgrade the sink and bathroom.
GGuest UserThe hotel is great, very clean, unlike some old spa hotels in Japan, the rooms are spacious and bright, there is a dungeon common area, for a group of friends to talk and drink, the best thing is that the hotel has a washer and dryer, a restaurant, The waiter was very gifted, and the hotel is next to the ski resort, you can not have to take a car to the ski resort, very convenient, and can always return to the hotel halfway to rest, do not have to wait for the shuttle, great!
BBlooming SpringA hidden gem - definitely worth recommending.
The location is close to station, and walking distance to convenient store.
Staff are very nice and friendly, the food is also delicious. We had two dinners at the hotel; one night sukiyaki and another night shabu shabu. Nutritious, fresh and tasty.
Thank you so much for the stay- we love it!
ググリーズマンThe bath was very big and beautiful. This time I went with my friends and 3 people, but the front desk staff was very kind and happy. It was a good inn with board rentals.
RReginaWe initially couldn't secure rooms with en-suite bathrooms, but we were pleasantly surprised by how clean both the shared bathrooms and rooms were. The onsen was a delightful feature, offering both indoor and outdoor baths. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and responsive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, and the location is very convenient—just a short walk to Nozawa Onsen town and close to the ski park. We had such a great time and will definitely be returning!
AAnonymous UserMore traditional Japanese-style hotel, dinner is eaten at the izakaya opposite, there are packages and a la carte to choose from, OK, relatively quiet, breakfast is simple, there is bread coffee juice, if you can be rich, it is better
