Dragonfly Hotel- the Art Hotel

I needed to find a hotel near Mumbai Airport to just sleep for a few hours, as my flight was arriving at 3 am. So, I did not want to pay a lot, but as a solo female traveler, I needed a safe place with secure airport transportation. That is the reason why decided to book this hotel. The driver came to the airport to pick me up at almost 4 am, and I arrived at the hotel without any troubles. Then, I checked in and was amazed to see my room. It was so big for a solo traveler, and beautifully decorated with balloons, as if it were a birthday party! The room had everything needed for a short stay including hot shower and tasty breakfast, and it was too good for this super-short stay.

I was looking for a place to stay in Mumbai before I catch an early morning flight. My criteria was value for money, economical and near to T2 terminal. Thanks to Agoda for suggesting Hotel Jyoti Dwelling. This hotel ticked every criteria on my list. Located just 10-15 mins from T2, this hotel offers great connectivity to the rest of the city. The hotel is clean, hygienic and has the courteous staff. They have an in house restaurant and gym. Room was spacious, well maintained with all modern amenities. Bathroom was also clean and hygienic. The food from the restaurant was delicious. Overall my 12 hrs stay at this hotel was wonderful. I would definitely consider this hotel for my future visits in Mumbai.
Hotel Oriental Aster - Mumbai International Airport

OK, there are two small restaurants, there are breakfast at 10 o'clock in the morning, but the variety is less, the fruit will be 3! Room design is OK, business travel is enough! Don't set a trip for the family, the elevator can stand three people! The road outside is relatively bad, close to the airport, do not take the car in and out during the peak hours, because it is not a normal traffic jam, remember
Apex Beacon Hotel, Mumbai

This hotel is around 10 mins drive by ola/uber from Terminal 2 ( Airport ) and charges applicable are between 200-250 INR by app based taxi which is pretty cheap. Hotel is located next to some international school so it's easy to locate. Area of the hotel seems pretty decent and safe to stay. However closest mall ( Phoenix ) is around 30 mins by auto / cab. Now coming back to the stay, we booked on room only basis as we had flight next day early morning so did not get to try their restaurant. Coming to the room : Check in was very smooth, rooms are small but equipped with all amenities , extremely clean and quality linen , hot water 24x7 , good front desk, in room tea coffee maker with 2 complimentary water bottles. I paid around 5.5k in INR per night which i found was on a little higher side compared to the size of the room. Overall our stay was very satisfactory and we did not face any issues while we were staying here.

Booked 2 rooms towards the end of January 2023 hoping it is a well known chain and we will have a comfortable stay. The reviews everywhere were great too but was disappointed. Location: 4/5 Great location, brilliant connectivity, ease of commute. Rooms: 1/5 The only good part is the size of the rooms (bigger than the average Mumbai standard). The rooms are age old and have not been renovated in decades. The furniture is all wood, scratched up, primitive, smells of dust, is unhygienic. The bathrooms are terrible, shower cubicles are dangerously small and make you feel claustrophobic with hard water stained glass door that doesn't slide on the rusted metal panel. Poor lighting in the room, a lot of rooms have seepage issues hence they smell strongly and have swollen walls with plaster coming off (we had to change two rooms). You will not expect non-standard amenities in a so-called 4-star hotel but my parent's room did not have a mini-fridge while mine did (also mentioned on online portals). Something basic like room landline phone did not have any legend to call the reception or housekeeping. No stickers, no numbers mentioned on the in-room dining menu, no one told us at the time of check-in that this is where you can call if you need help. So we had to wait in lobby the first time just to ask someone for help. TVs barely work, the Dish connections are not recharged, they give a single bath towel in the bathroom for a room booked for two people. Stained bedsheets with pills. Questionable hygiene. Food: 3/5 Food is great especially the breakfast buffet. Wide variety, helpful staff, good spread. In room dining food is good as well but expensive for the service you get for in-room dining. Service: 1/5 Frustrating to live here where half the staff is clueless and the other half is rude. I asked 3 different housekeeping staff members for face towels and an extra bath towel and was told we don't have or provide face towels (later reception mentioned that's false and sent face towels after i complained). The food will arrive will always arrive with short cutlery or fewer plates than the members in the room. Then you call them and request them for it while the food gets cold. For some reason the restaurant staff is instructed to mandatorily carry the tray back with them and leave only the food serving bowls with the guests. We had ordered a large meal and requested the staff to leave the food bowls in the tray itself so that we can manage in lesser space but the staff refused to leave it with us quoting the policy. 4+ staff members visited over 90 mins of us checking in and tried to fix the DTH connection and no one could figure out what's wrong. One said we need to recharge, other said it is a dish signal issue and is out of their control, third said he doesn't know what's wrong and final person figured that the HDMI and video cables itself were disconnected. I am surprised that they are able to keep the 3/4 star rating with such run do
